It’s good to see a Karate Dojo in the States that’s not watered down.
This isn't watered down ? Lol
@@nazgul225 ah yes, the hardcore black belt in keyboard-jitsu. Go touch grass
@@deformitygurubashiabsolutely, I will call out bullshit when I see it . I've been in martial arts all my life , what I just witnessed in this video was a demonstration of two girls showing everyone that they were barely trained at all and on top of that it doesn't appear they understand the basic concept of martial arts . This is more like a ghetto street fight with no thought, no power , no skill. It's obvious. With the proper instruction these two girls would benefit much more than what is going on here .
@@nazgul225 ?? invoking a taekwondo grand master doesn't make you a karate master
@@nazgul225bum
Knowing how to go 60% and not crush someone is a skill. These two have a lot of that skill
Yeah but that spinning kicks are very energy draining.
Not good tactics in Kyokushin, when you must save stamina.
I like that they're using techniques to block and parry and not just eat punches and kicks
all they did is block the head kicks because that was the only threat🤣 actually terrible fighting and instruction to be having them fighting like that. “we’re gonna simulate a fight but take away the most common thing in any fight, you’re only allowed to do the big flashy moves we teach that have never worked in mma because they don’t work”
@@baxterbingusyou do have a point. They did try to defend against the body punches, but they were not very worried by them, they were more worried about attacking
@@baxterbingusI promise you my friend, sparring actual kyokushin fighters, they're a lot more dangerous than you're giving them credit for
@@baxterbingusmy gosh man. Do you not know how sparring works? 😂. If they punched each other in the face they wouldnt be able to spar that often would they then? You can go to a boxing gym if you want to punch someone in the face 😂.
@@baxterbingus I agree they should learn to defend punches to the head, but what did they do that wouldn't work in MMA. Body punches work, roundhouse kicks work, and the spinning head kicks are less common but they also work (Barbosa vs Etim is probably the best known example)
Was very impressed with their combat. You can.tell they were also being very respectful at the same time they were clashing.
Thank you. Yes, they respect each other very much. That's also part of our training as well. Osu!
@@ThePhoenixWay Their control reflexs the teacher & the school
🙏
Black belt … who give them?
@@joshdumbrell4867 LOL love the comment
Now that's real karate 👏🏻🫡
Never!
Nope😊
No
These guys think karate was made for peace💀
Both are holding back to not truly hurt each other.
C'est pour ça qu'on appelle ça un sparring
Then why not wear some padded gloves or protective gear? They don't then have mouthguards.
@@stellocut99so you haven't sparred before
@@emancoy not without gloves. I don't any professional fighters that spar without gear.
@@stellocut99isto é kyokushin!
Those girls are killers! Beautiful sparring!
No, their not killers and their punches and kicks could not stop a 200+ pound man from harming them. And that is a shame
@@johnreidy2804 Maybe if you actually trained seriously in a martial art you might discover that they’re not there to fight a 200 lbs man on the street
@@elitemation I'm a 4th dan in Goju. And I have painfully had to teach self-defense to 120 pound women knowing it would do them no good if a large man on the street wanted to mug them.
Thankfully I no longer teach this class.
Do you really want to debate this?
@@johnreidy2804 We are debating the fact that you took “killers” literally. No doubt, they are not able to beat one. There is a difference between a martial art like Kyo-Karate and real life self defence lessons. I am a Muay Thai fighter myself and I don’t bring other people down by saying they cant beat a 200 pound man whenever they are doing a sport where fighting a 200 pound man is NOT their goal.
Don't you mean women
Nice. A dojo actually teaching you how to fight.
That was some real sparring. Both girls gor some grit...
This makes me so proud watching this! Karate is BACK!
That was perfect. They were so even. The coach said, "Stop stop," right at the perfect moment
Props to the full contact sparring but so many bad habits are being ingrained when you dont have to be defensively responsible against punches to the head. A punch to the head is literally the most common strike in real fighting
🤦🏻♂️
Tell that to the person that can spin back, kick you in the face😂😂
Just to add this : it’s not full contact It’s dojo sparring it’s to help with range and distance. And attitude trust me they know how to punch as well.😂😂
Most people in a bare knuckle fight actually avoid punching the head too much to prevent damage to the hands (this is why many martial arts including boxing before gloves were widely used in regulation matches strike using the soft meaty part of the palm when attacking the head)
I got a friend who naturally doesn't cover his head. He wants to do kyokoshin now. As a shotokan guy i tend to know where my target is with him. Doesn't last long
Refreshing to see quality karate ..nicely done. Love the power control on the kicks and great blocks
Tough girls. Awesome.
I did kyokushin for many years, but the lack of punching to the head is a bad habit to learn. I eventually left for more of an MMA education.
Head shots are easy. That's why they're concentrating on body shots!!!
@@user-fc6im1fj8f it trains them to not respect the hands....it is a bad habit. and that is maybe why they also lack distance management and footwork....thowing kicks in boxing range with no set up...with that footwork and missing respect for hands you will get fucked up against nearly any untrained male....and that defeats the purpose of all that training. the ability to defend yourself
@@user-fc6im1fj8fignorant
They blocked numerous head kicks, even deceptive ones, with ease which implies that they can also block punches to the head.
@@andrewrobertson3894 i did kyokshuin for 15 years and i can say, as soon as a set foot in a boxing ring i was getting clipped nicely
These girls are good. It is pretty rare to see this type of thing online where they aren't just showing off, but know what they're doing. Nice karate skills. OSU, respect
Osu!
Kyokushin is so bad ass. Just recently started watching more of it on UA-cam and it definitely puts some respect on karate’s name.
Hai rotto! Anche il karate shotokan è micidiale, guardati I vecchi incontri, dovete finirla con sta storia. Il karate non è una rissa,ma un arte marziale.
Every kyokushin stylist i ever sparred, knew how to strike to the head as well. About as close to full contact karate as you can get while still bringing the kids along. Great work guys.
56 years old and I fought in the streets practically all my life. I'm impressed.
I am a Shito Ryu myself and I practice MMA in a very good Gym under an ex Pride sensei. After getting my black belt, I was trying to connect my mma with karate a little more and I think into going to a Kyoukushin dojo. I've never been so beaten up and hurt. This guys are crazy. If you tell an oldschooler that he's not able to mend an axe using his head he will take that as a challenge and beat his forehead against the axe blade till it's curved. Crazy people, good warriors. Due to personal issues I was not able to continue, but that's a crazy style
Yeah they are crazy though
Real Karate! Yes, thank god for Kyokushin and Shotokan. These two girls are nails! 👍
Please don't put shotokan in same sentance with kyokushin 🤦🏻
@@frozenf5682 Why's that? The practitioners of Shotokan in Bristol were extremely competent when I came into contact with them 30 years ago. What's your point. (I'm open to hear your opinion)
@@davidhogg1886 shotokan is point karate with funny fighting stance where you get negative points for kicking/punching to hard while in kyokushin it's always full force
@@frozenf5682 I didn't know that. When I was at college (16) there was a black belt Shotokan fighter who used to spar with a lower belt guy from his club. They used to beat the snot out of each other. Maybe they do Shotokan differently here in the UK or at least used to in the 90s? It didn't look too dissimilar from the Phoenix Way vids.
@@davidhogg1886 i think shotokan was diffrent before but they watered it down so it can become sport karate
Hard sparring but good technique with control. Love it!
Very talented both of them
Those girls are fighting hard as men! Very strong women! Kyokushin is definitely my favorite karate style.
Osu!
I love this. Real karate
Wow, they have sensitive reaction time when it comes to blocking their face, now that's an excellent teacher 👏.
I love how for example women soccer is leagues down man soccer, but women in martial arts are so badass and skilled at the same level of men (the only difference ofc is weight and striking power although I would argue some female fighters have way more than some male fighters)
Tal cual, te lo digo por experiencia. Y la mayoría, cuando reciben un golpe, se aguantan. Y reciben el respeto de sus compañeros masculinos.
Holy shit. Actual good stuff at a dojo
This looks more like a real fight than sparring...
They are sparring with 96% of full power. :)
@@draganromcevic6337 checks XD
A trained eye can see they are holding back, respect for your training partner
@@eye1dry138 Everybody can see they are holding back, nobody is that blind, but they are a bit more aggresive than they should be in sparring. And there are couple of moments like - oh, you want to play hard, here you go, I can play hard too!
@draganromcevic6337 sometimes its necessary, otherwise when you get into a real fight you get your ass kicked.
Great Sparring!!!
Indeed! Osu!
Wild these girls are nails that probably the coolest karate fight ive ever seen 😮👌💯
I'm impressed , that was hard out sparring
Really great sparring and great use of technique, force, and restraint!
Absolutely! Osu!
This style of Karate is legit
These girls went at it. It's refreshing to see women fight and not pull each other's hair.
Не скажи, в конце почти был уверен(читалось в глазах), что перейдут на "классические потягушки за волосы и царапание ногтями"
@@user-sn1bj1li2gu just see what you want to see 😂

Glad there are no head shots or punches to the face…
the girl in the black hair did a real nice high kick to the head and returned back to her original stance so smoothly
Well done to the girls and their coaches/ club
idk why they wouldn't wear gloves and throw hands normaly. It looks so silly with their faces exposed and only punching the body
@@CJ-wh7ik they spar hard like this 2-3 times a week, if punches to the head were allowed, they'd kill each other
@@CJ-wh7ikIn kyokushin karate, you learn head strikes, but you don’t strike the head during sparing or matches because sparing is semi contact and competition is full contact with no protection. Your body can take a beating, not your face and head. Way too dangerous.
Even MMA can't be said as a real fighting, because of the rules. Well done, girls. Salute and respect.
osu my friend
Kyokoshin is the best to watch. I Love it.
Actually great work. Nobody punched in the face: disclipline. Nobody backed down and they both had great defense and form.
idk if you know but in kyokushin there are typically no punches to the face as a rule
Rules are no face punching. But you can kick to the head
@JohnDoe-xi3nk yep I find that strange being I did shotokan fro 1972 to 1980.
@@John-ob7dh i was talking about kyokushin. Not that weak crap
@@JohnDoe-xi3nk 😀😀
The blond girl throwing some nice combos , and solid defence from the other
Amazing women....
Yes they are! 🙏
Superrrrr very good... greetings from Holland 🇳🇱
I gotta get into a dojo. This looks way too fun! 😂😂😂
Damn this is actually a good fight!
This is what real sparring looks like❤
this is what injuries and early retirement looks like not even competing or earning money
No it's not. Real sparring you don't have low hands and trying desperately to hit them in the chest
Bro they can’t even hit the opponents head with their fists?
can’t even use an actual jab. this is why people clown karate🤣 good luck actually setting up that spinning back kick with punches coming at your face
@@100procent.creativeSparing is semi contact and competition is full contact with no protection. You know how many people would end up dead or with serious head injuries if strikes to the head and face were allowed?
That's a real woman 🦾🗿
Anyone with any sort of understanding cannot deny the Kyokushin spirit is strong.
Osu!
So much for controlled free sparing.
I found it odd that they won't throw a straight punch to the face, but a spinning heel kick to the face is okay
All older styles that didn't use gloves or knuckle wrapping didn't punch in the head with a fist. It's really easy to damage your hand if the fists lands on the forehead, the skull's strongest bone, you know.
It's in general a good idea to not punch with a fist to a solid bone, if you don't have hand protection.
Bareknuckle we don’t allow punches to the face. With pads on it’s their option to do so.
@@alexkozliayev9902 never said it had to be a closed fist punch
this is why karate is dead, you aren’t allowed to use what’s practical and useable because “that’s too dangerous” and they’d rather you do the big flashy moves that you taught them and look cool to someone who doesn’t train. practicality is never at the center of it and this video makes that obvious. it’s turned into a show
@@baxterbingusbro they got to go to work and school the next day without looking abused at home calm down

Nice sparring and under control 🤛
Thank you! These two are some of our best - Osu!
This was impressive 😮
Kyokushin karate, muay thai, silat and a few others are effective for real life stand-up self-defence scenerios
Most guys can’t maintain this level of self control. I have never been a fan of sparring with anyone but the instructor
In all honesty this is how it should be with all places. Learning and then sparring constantly to help people learn to defend themselves
Both of these women get a seal of approval
New Cobra Kai dojo looks legit.
Both great martial artists
Impressed by their body strikes and kicks. I think however under a different format with head punches they could run into problems.
That's shito ryu
Good technique control and hard sparring respect
Excellent skill and control. Well trained MAs

Excellent sparring between these lady karate warriors!!
Her spin kick is pure art no lie. I wish I had it like that
Osu!
A whole lot better than the wkf stuff you see these days, wkf/sports karate is nothing but a big game of tag, "look at me, I nearly hit you," then look at the judges for confirmation,
These guys never turn their backs on their opponents.
"Toshi" fighting spirit!!!!!
Those spinning backheels are nice. I am glad to see them blocking. I've seen some kyokoshin sparring where they just stand there tanking hits. Good to see these two don't let themselves get hit.
Good turning kicks.very accurate
Love the intensity 👍🏾
