    1. you chose it out of curiosity, not necessarily for the money
    2. interested in physics
    3. looking at specific sub-fields of electrical engineering
    4. trying to learn things about it outside of class
    5. enjoy problem solving
    6. have other friends who are electrical engineers
    7. desire to be ahead of 99% of students

most people that "hate" physics dont like the teacher that teaches it. If you have a good physics professors, you will love your degree

This is definitely true. I loved physics and did very well in these courses, but I had the worst Electric and Magnetic Fields teacher. Literally, the bottom of the barrel...

I do feel like Physicists are very interesting people general, but theres always a bland teacher somewhere

I’m 23 and returned to school at first for computer science as I did coding for a year before and love it a lot, but I realized I didn’t want to just code and I discovered I genuinely love math with my first semester math class and want to learn how the world works through physics, and I’ve always wondered how things work so I’m pursuing electrical engineering next semester!

I did EE 30 years ago- the core of EE is Ohm law, the circuitry - everything else is derived from it

I did engineering because i worked as an electrcian and didn't feel like it was a very fulfilling job. Electrical power engineering was the next logical step, and the pay makes the struggle of engineering school worth it.

I absolutely loved this video! As I watching this video I was very intrigued by your Google Calendar set up. I would love to see an productivity/planning video from you since I struggle with staying on track with scheduling. Thanks as always for the quality videos.

Man i will change from mechanical engineering to electerical (communication and electronic ) engineering inshallah due to your videos
I can relate so much to the video about you switch out of mechanical engineering i am having the same symptoms while enjoying my circuit class and lab and found myself watching videos about electronics and electric component include some principles of electromagnetic physics like how the dipole make frequency etc
While hate the guts of the workshops and engineering mechanics class its just not for me
Looks like i need something abstract and cannot be seen to enjoy rather that hand on stuff

Yes thank you , more content like this please. I hate people thinking of EE, EEE, as just some sort of a programming major to compete with CS, and forget about like the other 80% of the course. I mean If you wanna do coding and get paid a lot ( high level of competition ), just go and do CS or SWE.

I wanted to build robots, design, build the limbs, make them lifelike, design/model/tailor their behavior etc. All those things. Finding an accredited college is difficult as I've never been to one. I'm in my early 30s but I'm completely lost in getting there to that point and if i graduate from said school i still need to land a job in that field.

Idk if I'm very good at problem solving or not though. I'm hoping if I'm not, the classes teach me how to think better so that I can solve problems. That part has me a little iffy cuz I just don't know how good I am at that.

Dude I am so glad you posted this comment because, other than the fact that I don't know for sure whether I am going into mechanical or electrical engineering (I am a high schooler), I either want to be a biomedical engineer or work at NASA. I guess I really won't know for sure until later though. Also, if you don't mind me asking, where are you studying?

Thank you for your videos. I am also a student majoring in electrical engineering and I have one question. I'm curious more in math than physics and actually I'm so interested in math that I'm looking forward to take math as an dual major. Is it ok to dual major math? Would it be waste of time? Does majoring in math help me improve electrical engineering skills?

    • @alithedazzling
