A clip from episode 578 of My Brother, My Brother, and Me. This audio comes from the podcast My Brother, My Brother, and Me and belongs to the McElroy brothers.
My high school band and orchestra had trips every other year, alternating between staying in the US or going international. We were all given sales packets for both Yankee Candle and some candy company to try to sell as many candles and/or candies as possible to try to earn the aCTUAL HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS required PER KID to go on the trip.
The most prominent memory I have of my great-granny is that she always just ate whole onions??? raw??? like they were apples??? When I asked my mom about this, she just shrugged and said “She’s Finnish” as if that explained EVERYTHING. She also reportedly tries to fistfight a paramedic in her mid nineties because she wanted to die in her own home, and I really wish I could have had more memories with her before she passed when I was about 10
I was a girl scout for nearly a decade and full disclosure: regardless of how many boxes of cookies I ever sold, I don't recall ever receiving a single reward from the girl scout organization. I feel like someone failed me somewhere
Same here. My Girl Scouts troop was terrible and the leaders bullied some of the kids (including me), so I just thought that they didn't like me and wouldn't give me my reward.
It should be said that our troop got money for selling cookies! I may have only gotten a shitty stuffed animal, but afterwards we got to rent a cabin for a weekend!
Dude I remember getting those prizes last year and literally going this is bs I have not been a part of this organization for 10+ years to go an inflatable automen
Justin thinking they were doing a bit the whole time killed me instantly 💀🤣😂😭
travis gets more and More like Clint every fucking day oh my God.
I've been listening to taz and the amount that Travis Is Clints Son has been hitting me so hard every episode

Once I got a stuffed animal flamingo as a lower tier prize for selling cookies. I still have it lol

God d a m n Travis shines in this one.
The band fundraiser I remember most clearly is the one where they wanted us to sell people bedsheets.

Yes.

I sincerely cannot tell if they are serious about the onion thing
It’s way too specific for it not to be true.
They definitely had to be
Yep that sound like something those rowdy West Virginians would do
@@silvercomics3517 its way too specific AND way too normal
selling shit is a common fundraiser for school activities, its kinda bogus. we sold candles for band back when i was in high school.
First!!
