As someone that works alongside normies often; they like sports (especially football and basketball), keeping up with the latest Hollywood superhero movie, discussing current events/office politics, gossip, talking about how weird everything else is and shows like "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
Why are they like this?
Damn, I didn't know It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was considered a normie show. I guess it's super popular, but I would say shows like Friends/any sitcom and/or The Office are better examples of shows catering to and talked about by normies than IASiP, as far as 'humorous' TV shows go.

There's this sort of weird assumption with kids that were awkward as fuck growing up that regular people do things "to seem cool" and that's 100% not it. Most people do things because they enjoy them. But it's not like dorks and weebs aren't relentlessly trying to fit in with their chosen in-group.
