I’m with you, summer is my least favorite time of year. In fact I wish I had a home where temperatures stayed at 65-70 degrees. I can’t wait for fall. I love the way everything turned out. So pleasant and inviting ~ Janet 🥰
My dad would always say the same thing when I was a kid, that it would be perfect to live where it was 65-70 all year long. I totally get it now! 😂 Thank you so much for watching!!!
Absolutely lovely as always. I’m a Michigan gal. I love all the 4 seasons but Spring and Autumn are my favorites. Again, Thank you for sharing your beautiful and tastefully decorated home with us. I do so look forward to your videos on Friday afternoons. ❤
I can’t thank you enough for your sweet comment!! My mom was a Michigan girl and she was so happy when she moved away from the Michigan winters when she was in her 20’s. She loved the Texas summers!
@@ourhomeonlawrence It seems the older I get, the less I enjoy our Michigan winters. Our daughter and son-in-law moved to Florida with their youngest almost 3 years ago now and she keeps telling us that we need to travel to warmer climates in the winter. What are your winter’s Like in Texas? Her Florida winters tend to be on the milder side. Summer on the other hand is a totally different scenario. 😊
@@debbiefletcher4781 winters in SE TX are very mild. I grew up in North TX and we only moved from there a few years ago. Winters there can be a it more volatile. The occasional ice storm and storm isn’t totally uncommon. My mom and grandparents moved from Michigan to Arizona…where I was born. I love it there….even in the summer. It’s the humidity here that gets me!
@@ourhomeonlawrence my semi retired husband wants to travel with friends to Arizona this winter after visiting our daughter in Florida. This coming February we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. So I’m hoping to make this trip a reality for him. Texas is also a big draw for us. Tim, my husband is a retired minister but is still driving semi dump truck 4 days a week. We’re praying that this will be the last year that he has to drive. 💕. I too am semi retired and am focusing on making our home a haven and place of rest for our family. I’ve loved thrift shopping and floral design for years and have tried to use the treasures that I’ve found/collected through the years to accomplish that. I have binged you tonight and have enjoyed it. I don't like summer either and try to fight the feelings with making changes at home also. I too add the "beach" to my home after the fourth with sea shells, etc. I'm getting good ideas from you. Thank you.
Ohhhh I appreciate that so much!!! I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in my feelings toward summer and my approach to dealing with it. Decorating is good for the soul! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos…I truly appreciate it!!
Blue and white! My favorite! Everything looks so fresh and clean. Great job! How I remember (not so fondly) those Texas summers. They are not much better in Missouri. They make you long for Fall for sure!
I know I’m probably the exception to the rule when it comes to summer…and I would probably feel differently if I lived in a climate that had long, dreary winters. It’s all perspective I guess! Thank you so much for watching!

You do such a great job on your home and your videos - which are so inspiring and nice to watch. I agree the heat and humidity aren't my type of weather either -- hang in there : )
Love your narration throughout the video and looking forward to this Summer series! I’ve been watching your videos for a few months now and can really appreciate your style of decorating. So thanks for sharing 😊Subscribed!
Awwww thank you!!! It’s definitely a different feel in here…if I close my eyes I can almost believe I’m in the Hamptons. Someday I will get there for real! 💙🤍
HAPPY FRIDAY Carin, family, and fur babies. WOW! I love Summer, however, temp between 72=75, I understand if it is 90 all the time. IT looks fabulous my friend. ENJOY your weekend. STTB
Yes!! A summer in the 70’s I would love!! Summers in the 90’s and 100’s with high humidity not so much. 😂 Thank you so much for your continued support my friend!
My friend I'm 100% with you on the temps & seasons! I hate to be hot, fall is definitely my favorite time of year. We live in Tennessee, and we get all 4 seasons. Fall is stunning! And In winter the snow is beautiful! Spring is also beautiful there. We're in Tampa Florida for awhile, possibly moving for good. I hate the heat here its brutal🥵 Just waiting to see what God wants us to do. But anyways, time to sit back & enjoy this video😊..... I love the cloche with the marble tray, its beautiful❤ You have some really pretty florals & greenery!🌿 I collect lots of empty frames and get a lot of my pictures from books. I have quite a few books on art, antiques, the Victorian era, 2 large Currier & Ives books..i use the diy hack where you blotch mod podge on them & they look like real oil paintings when they dry! (I say blotch, you don't paint in straight stokes or it leaves weird lines. Blotch is the only word i can think of 🤷♀️) I love blue & white with pops of yellow. The space looks so light & bright, still very cozy and cottage-y. From the table to the mantle and all around! So beautiful❤ TFS😊
I really have to try that modge lodge trick! I’ve seen so many people do it. Tennessee is so beautiful! And I love that y’all really do get all 4 seasons. North TX, where we lived for many years gets more winter than SE TX does. I miss the occasional snow day. I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend!! ❤️
Great video! I love how you are using what you have and trying to make the best of the situation. Summer used to be my favorite. Now that i am older I really mind the heat. The summer is still hot and humid here in PA. Have you ever watched Rachel on Stone cottage home? She has similar views and i think you would really like her channel.
