I was born in raised in the Canal Zone Panama. We called it Johnny Mazetti without the r. I always thought that Johnny Mazetti was a Canal Zone thing until I met some O-H-I-O people.
I remember up by the lake in Ohio, in the early 70's Our schools ( I went to two different districts) used spaghetti instead. No matter it was still m-m-m gooood!
Too many noodles, not enough sauce. Also, Mix the sauce and meat in a pot. Doctor up the sauce a little. Let it simmer together for 30 mins. Add the noodles to the pot, stir. Dump in baking dish. Top with cheese. Bake
I’ve been looking for this recipe for years. Use to eat it as a teenager.
Thank you
Looks good though
Why don't you throw everything back in the big ass pot you did the noodles in so you can mix it up and not make a mess? ( asking for a friend)
Sure I will answer your friend

It’s a Midwest thing. But I don’t understand Ohio being Midwest it’s more like Mid East. It started in Columbus Ohio. I live in a Suburb of Columbus.
