@@MatthewMoniz i hope it can be specd with 64gb of ram and has the same 1000 nit brightness as last years model. With an AMD CPU, doesn't even have to be top spec (better than any intel garbage) and a 5090, that would be my dream work laptop. hows razers QC? didn't they have puffy batteries a couple years back?
Honestly I am mainly interested in the Razer blade 16,not only is it as thin as g16 now but also has higher tgp on the 5080 and not only that they are the only company offering 5080 and 5090 with the ryzen strix point cpus
@@MatthewMonizhow are they managing to keep the same tgp by having same thickness as g16 since that would throttle the gpu and the entire reason of the tgp on g16 being lower than that of blade 16
@@yohankumar2441I bought the 2024 g16 with 4090, the GPU temps stay at 70-75degree in turbo, I have modded its V bios to the strix scar so that the gpu can run 150 watts and it does that fairly well at slightly higher temps, so this chassis can run higher wattages and razer might be ever so slightly thicker and might have a better cooling system, besides they will be using a far more efficient amd chip so I think it should be possible to get 155 watts, either way I am returning the g16, the intel chip gives me very very poor battery life and asus has a lot of quality control issues
Im not a fan of oled. There is some low tier zephyrus g16 with IPS glossy which would suit me. I don’t mind the low 5070 gpu but the amd ai 7 350 cpu looks veryyyyy weak.
I am not sure how I feel about them clearly reusing Scar 16 internals on the 18 inch version. You can physically see how the board and all components are shifted to one side, won't that create a weight imbalance? What about the extra space, is it just completely empty? Was it really that hard and expensive to give the 18 inch model a larger battery, better speakers, or better thermals/power delivery? It DOES have more space, so why not use it? :/
im anoyed by the rgb on legion. I have been buying legion laptops over other brands for years because it has been the more adult looking gaming brand, with a good price.
@dragonalfaata yes, but then you have goofy looking white strips that look out of place. That's what made the legions look so good is that there just was no RGB everywhere.
I wish the Zephyrus G16 came with an AMD CPU and a 5080 option but looking at whats being offered I think the Blade 16 is the most tempting option for me especially if it keeps upgradable memory.
@michaozga7825 wth I thought it would at least have come with the 12 core HX 370 like last gen. This makes it the worst choice if you want an AMD laptop in that form factor. It feels like Intel paid off every company to avoid high end AMD CPUs like the plague.
gaming laptops seem to move towards 18 inches? 18 inches are all mini led and 16 inches oled (why?); Still dont know if you should go oled or mini led for a gaming / all purpose laptop
I am a big fan of laptops. I like how the audio is infront of you like oldschool analog tvs. lol, but the cpu versions for laptops are so much less powerful. I can barely get games to run at the refresh rate of the monitor it came with. Maybe this year will change things.
I think the zephyrus g16 2025 with the new chasis will be the best option. It’s gonna have all the bugs fixed out, dust filters on fan intakes, more thermal headroom with more thickness (1.5 mm I think) and then offering 64gb ram and 2 tb ssd with the 5080 version(which I am gonna get). Do note that as far as I have seen the current listed SKUs the minimum ram is 32 gb till now.
Why did you incorrectly name every graphics card as 40 series when they are 50 series cards? Also why didn't you talk about the Lenovo hardware at all?
As a person who's planning on buying a budget laptop at the end of the year.....that new Acer laptop in white looks really cool :) I'm using an Asus A15 with gtx1650, so a 4050 is going to be a huge jump for me 😂
great video! the 2024 legion pro 7i is heavily discounted now even for a 4080 gpu... do you think it's worth it to wait for 2025 7i launch and pay the premium of the new product or just go for the older version as it doesn't appear to be that big of a difference aside from the obvious OLED screen. thanks!
same, i'm thinking about getting the 7i thats currently available for 2k with a core i9-14900hx, 32gb ram and a 4060 (sadly not a 70). one with a 4080 is just not in my price range, do you think i should wait? Or do you know anything about how much the 2025 one with a 5070 will be?
Do you know if there are any other laptops with AMD's integrated gpu? I'd like to see a video dedicated to that. I watched Linus' video about the Asus tablet with it that you mentioned, and he was getting 60-70 fps on Wukong with max settings, I believe. So it sounds like it is on par with a 5070 laptop. This could be a great option, likely cheaper than a 5070 laptop and more energy efficient. I'm surprised that it seems like only that product implemented it.
Guys, I'm in circle over which laptop to go for, on one side there is macbook but choosing it means I would have to change my phone to iphone too. I know its not necessary but apple ecosystem if you have all then only its pays off. On other side there is windows but windows 11 just sucks as of now but with that it also give me flexibility along with my galaxy phone. And my peer pressure to go apple😂, its really creeping under my skin now as windows side laptop are still weak. My usage is general browsing, youtube metflix songs etc
If you're just using the laptop for browsing and UA-cam you don't need anything fancy, and if you got a m3 macbook air second hand you can keep your android phone and have an easy life. I've found the new snapdragon pc laptops to be great for what you need
Zenbook A14 is the one to keep eye on for the most people. Finally MacBook Air have some competition, so apple can't get away with exorbitant price for ram and stoarge.
Heyy Mathew I'm an aspiring UI/UX designer learning through online courses.Your response will would help me and bring me closer to my dream of becoming a professional designer. Looking forward to hear from you🤞🏻

Nope. I still love my Dell latitude 7440 as my personal laptop, and many love the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 series with a Linux distro. I'm looking forward to getting my work laptop upgraded to Dell Pro Plus this year with the Intel Lunar Lake CPU.
One mistake. I said you can spec the Razer Blade 16 all the up to a 4090 but I meant to say 5090. Which laptop are you most excited about?
I was hoping for a laptop with an 18-inch OLED display, but perhaps that will have to wait until next year.

If they only offer oled it’s bad because it’s easy to burn in and no manufacturers coverage laptop burn in

At least 4 kidneys
I am pretty Sure it will be too expensive as always
If you have to ask, you can't afford it....
Hows the pricing of the legion series?
why did the legion make a reversal and go back to an obnoxious gaming design when they went more muted last year? looks like an alienware design... 😕
Truly, they messed it up with that rear design and removing the ports. From the front they are amazing, but from the back...

Not much unless you have a very niche job
The benefit is they can tell investors they’re not missing the AI train.

Why make a laptop with a screen that rolls on the vertical??? Make it roll on the horizontal.
Think about it for a sec...
Thinkpads are designed for business and professional use, not gaming or watching movies. The vertical screen comes in handy .
