Craziest spare tire sub box install in a MK6 Jetta

- Hey everyone, I'm super excited with this video. I have been wanting to do a sub box where my spare tire goes in a vehicle in such a long time. However, I have so many projects I needed help from some real professionals on this one.

I sold that exact amp to my sister and now she wont let me buy it back LOL. Wish they were still around, they sound so warm and nice to the ears. Held onto that amp for 15 years and still rocks hard.
They don't make stuff like they used to.

That was my wiring, we'll do another stage later where the wiring gets done and a DSP gets added

Nevermind I see it’s a 12” alpine “x” series. You mentioned it was dual voice coil.

what are the little plastic cutouts for right under where the trunk latches? i have the same car and i’m really curious
nice job but now you`ll not use the boot anymore so you won`t damage the subwoofer ...
I still us the trunk, I just have my trunk liner in to protect it for now, stage 2 of the build I'll put something in to make it more usable again....okay so it's probably stage 5 - 7 of the build if I'm being realistic. Gotta get the rest of the system dialed in first.
@@SouthdownGarage i`m also thinking to build something similar and looking for ideas so i can also use the subs but the boot as well
@@danel557 I love it, it raises the trunk floor, but not by much, and the trunk is still usable...eventually I'll get the sub protected, but for now, I'm enjoying the tunes.
