Things I never thought would happen in the decade plus I've watched Smosh: -Anthony leaving -Anthony coming back -Anthony and Ian talking for an hour while occasionally watching a six minute long video
as a German who grew up with ytitty and Smosh it made me really happy to learn that you worked with them. they truly were the German version of Smosh, my dad says that to this day. also it's still surprising that Ian's attempt at German isn't even that bad, sure it's not good but I'm assuming he didn't really practice before
Oh, scheiße! This is still one of the funniest skits they ever made. I love how they're actually sitting on toilets for this one. To this day, I've still never seen a porta-potty as clean as this one.
Anthony was right about doing a sketch when they had two toilets together in which Ian doesn’t remember. It was the staring contest video in which we saw them both in the bathroom together.
I LOVE the different editing vibe here!! It feels like something a fan would do, like best smosh moments and it relates to the audience making it seem even funnier than it is
this was my first smosh video! i made so many people in my middle school class watch it... what a throwback! here's to 11 more years of supporting you guys from the other side of the world
I'm a German who's watching you for years and I was so shocked when you mentioned that Ytitty was featured in this video, I didn't recognize them at all. I loved to watch them as well, but sadly, they split up a few years ago to focus more on other things. They did comedy content as well and were basically the German version of Smosh
I miss Ytitty too. "Der letzte Sommer" is still a banger I just looked it up: How was that 10 freaking years ago, where's my childhood gone? I'm old haha At least Anthony is back at Smosh and reacting to nostalgic stuff for my inner child :D
Stuck in a toilet was actually THE first video i saw from smosh! i remember my friend showing me it. At first i was disgusted my the humour, because i never had seen anything like it! but curiousity got the better of me and i kept watching more and more vids and i started to find them really funny and now we're here XD
This was my first Smosh video as a kid, it feels so weird yet so amazing to be able to rewatch this as an adult along with Smosh once again. Smosh has been the only channel I've constantly watched from child to adult, so this video hits 🥺❤️ thank you for still being here
As someone that works in a portable sanitation service, we typically do hose it down first with a pressure hose from a small tank with water and cleaning products. After it dries some then we go in for any final details like changing the paper, adding soap if it has a handwash station attached, and putting new dissolvents and odor preventors in the toilet itself. The worst are usually construction sites, and I have many horror stories ranging from finding unwanted persons in awkward positions to one unit being literally blown up. Straight up slagged. Anyway, enjoy knowing this now!
"Ah, the classic 'Stuck in a Toilet' flashback! This episode takes me back to the good ol' days of Smosh. Nostalgia at its finest. It's amazing to see how far you guys have come since then. Keep the laughs coming, and here's to more hilarious memories ahead!"
The pee bottles sent me back to when I was the one responsible person living with a bunch of crust punks. After roomies moved out I found old 40s of Cobra that had been refilled with piss hidden away in their closets. And these were the roomies with the bathroom attached to their bedroom!!
28:51 For anyone that's curious, that's "Hologram Girl;" AKA the parody version that was used in Kinect Star Wars. I think they had previously done the Game Bang for that, so they probably took the song from there.
I noticed at the beginning that Anthony was sitting on the toilet with the cover up and Ian with it down, visuals which paid off when they discussed seat cover preference lol! The whole extended conversation of that and the food poisoning are all so TMI in a way that you usually speak about comfortably or trauma bonding-ly with your friends. My sympathies to Ian and everyone who had to experience food poisoning in public restrooms or worse, with no available restrooms. Anthony's hairstyle was popular with both the emo lifestyle guys and gals, so double the population size. It's interesting to see the passage of time between the filming of this episode and the sponsorship segment with the differences of Anthony's tattoos. The rewind shirts are very awesome indeed, it would be great if there can be sleeveless options for the future shirts pretty please.
The way they introduced the fan made theme song as being "made very lovingly" I was not expecting it to actually SLAP so hard, I thought they were gonna hype it up and make it something stupid 😂 I hope they keep using it for these.
Soooo never thought I would commenting on a Smosh video with some porta potty knowledge but I work for the nation's largest supplier (I'm really cool, I know, I know) and they get pumped out and sprayed down with a salt water brine during every service, as long as we can park within 25 feet of the unit. Also, you're right - people have a lot of weird names for them, but porta potty is the most common. Porta John, shitter, and honey bucket are also common, but I usually say "portable restroom" because it sounds more professional. Fun fact: my company occasionally buys other companies and one of them was called "Wizard of Ooze."
This was the first Smosh video I've seen. Core memory right here. So happy you revisited Stuck in the Bathroom. Thank you for bringing us joy now as you have since way back ♥
17:32 Music For the Recently Deceased is an album for a metalcore band called I Killed The Prom Queen. Man, talk about a blast from the past. I haven’t thought of that band in years.
I remember watching Stuck in a Toilet when I was really young, and back then I really wanted to get that shirt (and obv being a child I couldn't just buy one when they were available) and now I can fulfill that childhood wish finally, thank you Pappa's Ian and Anthony 🙏
7:07 I have been that dehydrated! My digestive system failed and I ended up with IV fluids and other stuff. Lucky enough to be able to eat and drink at home for almost 4 years now 😊 will never forget that feeling though!
6:04 one thing i love about watching videos that kortney edits is how you can't look away for a second. this moment for example, but my favorite example will always be Cyber Butt Sl**s
Oh my god this was the first smosh video I ever watched. I remember my friend showing me this video when I was at his house all those years ago. Crazy how the time flies
This was my favorite video from you guys back in the day! 127 Hours was my favorite movie then, and it still is now. So naturally, that was the reason why it was my favorite video. I loved that you looked back on it so well. Love this video.
This was the first smosh video I ever saw! It was in fourth grade. I became a big smosh fan soon after and I remember arguing with a kid in my class about who liked smosh more lmfao good times
Erin asking if Ian seriously had people use him as a reference for a haircut... I think its hard for the newer/younger Smosh crew to realise just how massive Ian and Anthony were at their peak 😂
Wow! Music for the recently deceased is an iconic album in my life from the band “I Killed the Prom Queen” from Australia. The fact that you have such an unknown band like them on their impresses me. I love it!!!
I was not expecting Smosh to make an almost hour long video discussing a video of Anthony being stuck in a porta potty 🚽
Smosh inspires me.. My parents said if i get 70K followers They'd buy me a professional camera for recording..begging u guys , literally
Begging...
Why not? They’ve been doing this for like 2 months now, it’s kind of a given that they’d review one of their other fan favorites
@Bruuuuuuhh i think what OP meant is, he wasnt expecting it to be an entire hour long. Especially given that the first episode wa sonly like 35 mins
@@callnight1441, it was a little bit of both 😆
@@Bruuuuuuhh, I mean yeah it’s iconic…. I just didn’t know it had that much of an impact 👀
my favorite part of this podcast is how off topic they go IMMEDIATELY lmao
if you like that, then the basement yard podcast is for you
Just like real friends
its so funny, its like we're seeing them just talking a normal convo between them
Unironically one of the best Smosh videos is stuck in a toilet.
I completely agree, always thought this as a kid. It’s just such a simple concept executed perfectly
Proud to be 127th like
I do concur. 🧐
It’s a pretty great parody
Hopefully we can somehow recover it from the toilet so we can watch it!
Things I never thought would happen in the decade plus I've watched Smosh:
-Anthony leaving
-Anthony coming back
-Anthony and Ian talking for an hour while occasionally watching a six minute long video
as a German who grew up with ytitty and Smosh it made me really happy to learn that you worked with them. they truly were the German version of Smosh, my dad says that to this day. also it's still surprising that Ian's attempt at German isn't even that bad, sure it's not good but I'm assuming he didn't really practice before
In the "Draw your life" video from Yttity, they mentioned that they got the inspiration to do sketch comedy on UA-cam from Smosh. I liked that.
Yeah! I always forget that they knew each other :)
As a Portuguese i totally understand that to you
I feel like we’re watching the evolving rekindling of this friendship in every episode.
Love the laid back vibe of this show.. really makes it feel more genuine and not like they're just putting on a character.
The humor of the editing style is elite. The dead silence and cuts are so great 👍
Oh, scheiße! This is still one of the funniest skits they ever made. I love how they're actually sitting on toilets for this one. To this day, I've still never seen a porta-potty as clean as this one.
Ian learning German was the best part.
Anthony was right about doing a sketch when they had two toilets together in which Ian doesn’t remember. It was the staring contest video in which we saw them both in the bathroom together.
THE FACT THAT ANTHONY OPENED THE TOILET SENT ME
I LOVE the different editing vibe here!! It feels like something a fan would do, like best smosh moments and it relates to the audience making it seem even funnier than it is
it's honestly so cool to see this duo back.
I know, it's been 4 months and I still can't believe they're together again!
the jingle is so nice omg
also, seeing these two's humor still so in line with each other is so funny
This was my first ever Smosh video as a kid. Ever since, I’ve been a fan. Crazy how much things have changed, but y’all are still just as funny
yea same, i really loved this video and it got me hooked to smosh
This and games in real life for me)
My first as well, my son showed it to me. All those years ago…
DUDE SAME!!!
This episode of flashback w/ smosh has become my favorite by far. It was so chaotic from the beginning, I never stopped laughing. Omg
16:59 To poop standing up is also a reference to my bathroom secret where Ian takes a crap while standing up 😂
Honestly, the beginning is so refreshing. For some reason, I loved seeing Ian go get water, haha, self care king.
this was my first smosh video! i made so many people in my middle school class watch it... what a throwback! here's to 11 more years of supporting you guys from the other side of the world
I’m so glad that the new crew is getting into the swing of old Smosh editing
Kourtney's editing is just meant for comedy! Smosh and their C/Kourtneys we stan! :)
Kortney's editing style is SO GOOD
I'm a German who's watching you for years and I was so shocked when you mentioned that Ytitty was featured in this video, I didn't recognize them at all. I loved to watch them as well, but sadly, they split up a few years ago to focus more on other things. They did comedy content as well and were basically the German version of Smosh
Me too! I was SO shocked when they mentioned them. Ytitty was my childhood so it was a very pleasent surprise :DD
I miss Ytitty too. "Der letzte Sommer" is still a banger
I just looked it up: How was that 10 freaking years ago, where's my childhood gone? I'm old haha
At least Anthony is back at Smosh and reacting to nostalgic stuff for my inner child :D
Im so shocked to learn that they did stuff with Y-Titty this is so amazing omg
The editing on this video is top notch. I’m only 6 and a half minutes in and I’ve already laughed harder than I have all day. Great job Kortney Luby!!
The fact that Anthony had his pants down to his ankles the entire time kills me 😂
Now I REALLY need them to do an episode on "The best car EVER". That was one of my favorites growing up, and it still holds up imo.
omg truuu thats was one of the best and lookd fun to make
Kudos to the editor, so much fun to watch with the memes, fun captions and jokes hahahah
Love how this was just a full on podcast, followed by the actual flashback reaction commentary, followed by another cut down podcast
I love the fact that they kept in all the loud ass silences 😂😂
This was so fun and on brand XD !!! Thank you! (Also, loved the editing, pls tell Kortney!)
Flashback with Smosh is seriously the best Smosh show in years.
Is it just me or is this the most chill smosh video that I can relate the most. Especially because of then intro convo.
Stuck in a toilet was actually THE first video i saw from smosh! i remember my friend showing me it. At first i was disgusted my the humour, because i never had seen anything like it! but curiousity got the better of me and i kept watching more and more vids and i started to find them really funny and now we're here XD

I just love the editing of these and the fact that all these side tracks are kept in the video!
As someone that works in a portable sanitation service, we typically do hose it down first with a pressure hose from a small tank with water and cleaning products. Bruh, I think about this video on a weekly basis.
It’s that good, and had that much of a impact.
Goes to show their timeless storytelling
42:10 “did other people have these haircuts at the time?” Had to pause it because of Anthony’s face reaction 😂
I think a skit with the old haircuts would be funny. And the two of you being self aware about it
"Ah, the classic 'Stuck in a Toilet' flashback! This episode takes me back to the good ol' days of Smosh. Nostalgia at its finest. It's amazing to see how far you guys have come since then. Keep the laughs coming, and here's to more hilarious memories ahead!"
This is my favorite "old" smosh video. Thank you so much for reviewing it so early.
"I killed the prom queen" btw! 17:40
Bought the whole album and the greesley estates album at the same time haha
The pee bottles sent me back to when I was the one responsible person living with a bunch of crust punks. After roomies moved out I found old 40s of Cobra that had been refilled with piss hidden away in their closets. And these were the roomies with the bathroom attached to their bedroom!!

“someone call sam and colby” hahahah love a good reference to the boys
The editing of this series so far has really made it fun to watch on UA-cam!
The way they introduced the fan made theme song as being "made very lovingly" I was not expecting it to actually SLAP so hard, I thought they were gonna hype it up and make it something stupid 😂 I hope they keep using it for these.
52:40 I've never seen Ian genuinely laugh like this before
Soooo never thought I would commenting on a Smosh video with some porta potty knowledge but I work for the nation's largest supplier (I'm really cool, I know, I know) and they get pumped out and sprayed down with a salt water brine during every service, as long as we can park within 25 feet of the unit. this is one of my favorite skits! I can practically say every line out of memory
The editing is so good. The little snipets, pictures and references lmao amazing
17:32 Music For the Recently Deceased is an album for a metalcore band called I Killed The Prom Queen.
Man, talk about a blast from the past. I haven’t thought of that band in years.
Loved the editing on this video 😂 My compliments to Kortney Luby
Also the phone number was very funny
Thank you, Erin, for always asking the real questions in these videos.
I love the conversations between you two! Don’t worry about jumping to the video immediately
That video is actually the first video of Smosh I ever watched, I barely remember but it’s just there enough in my memory.
the editing on these is just so good
I loved this. The editing is so good. And I love the length as well as the random ramblings
This was my first smosh video 😍 I never watched UA-cam other than music videos before this and I’ve been obsessed ever since 😂
i just love watching you guys talk,,,unmatched chemistry
this series singlehandedly healed my childhood
this is the first smosh video i thought of when i heard about this series. happy we didn't have to wait for long!
Knowing that Ian does the same thing I do if there are no toilet seat covers in public bathrooms and I do it exactly the same as him is insane.
The “someone call Sam and Colby!!” Joke coming in clutch 40:49 😂😂
I hope they do a video together!!!!
I got way too excited when he said that 💀
Ian is just a tired, drunk uncle in this video and I love it
I’m so glad they added them singing “Cheeseburger” in the video. It’s one of my favorite Smosh moments ever.
Fun Fact: Stuck in a Toilet was the very first video I ever saw from Smosh!
Same 😅 A friend sent it to me and said "that's totally us" 😂
Same with me.
Same
I remember watching Stuck in a Toilet when I was really young, and back then I really wanted to get that shirt (and obv being a child I couldn't just buy one when they were available) and now I can fulfill that childhood wish finally, thank you Pappa's Ian and Anthony 🙏
This is definitely a top 3 for me, from the awesome shirt to the iconic “cheeseeeeeeburrrrrgerrrrr” jingle 😂 absolute perfection
7:07 I have been that dehydrated! My digestive system failed and I ended up with IV fluids and other stuff. Lucky enough to be able to eat and drink at home for almost 4 years now 😊 will never forget that feeling though!
I'm loving these, I can't wait to see what other episodes you do...
6:04 one thing i love about watching videos that kortney edits is how you can't look away for a second. this moment for example, but my favorite example will always be Cyber Butt Sl**s
why does ian always look like hes on the verge of tears
Back when anthony left, this is the residue
He's just a tired millennial 😅
In Japan they have little sanitization dispensers and u put it on toilet paper and wipe down the seat before AND after so it’s clean to use
Oh my god this was the first smosh video I ever watched. I remember my friend showing me this video when I was at his house all those years ago. Crazy how the time flies
The editing on this is the absolute BEST
The "did other people have these hairstyles at the time?" comment was so out of pocket. 😂 I love Erin 😂😂😂
This was my favorite video from you guys back in the day! 127 Hours was my favorite movie then, and it still is now. So naturally, that was the reason why it was my favorite video. I loved that you looked back on it so well. Love this video.
These close ups on the faces just kills 😂
I'm so happy you guys did this one. It's legitimately my favorite sketch. I've shown so many people lol
I love how weird and rambling these videos are. The reaction is just a loose prompt to let them go on a weird conversational journey.
The edit of the fly coming out of Ian's mouth while he was yawning took my life
I love you guys
Smosh inspires me.. My parents said if i get 70K followers They'd buy me a professional camera for recording..begging u guys , literally
Begging...
11:45 yeah I’m from Georgia where no establishment has seat covers, it’s so nice in california where I don’t have to make my own
The way how Ian cursed in another language was so hilarious 😂
this will be the first time in my life I will buy any youtuber's merch.
Ian explaining the hinge goes in the front makes those seat covers finally make sense to me. 🤯 😂
I RESUBSCRIBED TO SMOSH IM SO GLAD THEY ARE BACK 😂❤
I love that you guys always have Erin there. Her input is always soooo good!!
Watching this while sitting on a toilet. Perfect
FLUSH-BACK with Smosh😮😅
This was one of my favorite videos EVER when this was new
Now this puts a smile on my face
Wow! Music for the recently deceased is an iconic album in my life from the band “I Killed the Prom Queen” from Australia. The fact that you have such an unknown band like them on their impresses me. I love it!!!
It's amazing how well these jokes still hold up. I'm still over here laughing at every one even years later
This was literally the first smosh video i ever saw, so im glad they revisited this one
