      @@EasyEnglishVideos All but one. I went for the American pronunciation of lieutenant 🙈 (I’m excluding my attempt to pronounce the last word because I’m sure its length technically makes it German 😂) Happy weekending Mitch, Isi and all the EL teams.

    Awesome video! As a native speaker of American English, these peculiarities in rules of spelling and pronunciations in English are pretty natural to me since I learned how to speak those words before I learned how to spell them back in elementary school.

    I’ve been a member of Easy German for years, and recently added a few more Easy Language subscriptions on UA-cam. I’m a native Long Islander (NY), so clearly don’t need English help, but this shite is hilarious 😂. Thanks! Unflatteringly for me, it reminds me of making fun of my dad and abuela’s accents.

    Dimitris from Easy Greek does excellent videos about the Greek language. He is a brilliant presenter. However, due to the fact that he is half Australian, he clearly has an advantage over the rest in pronouncing English words. It would be like having Katie from Easy Italian taking part in this kind of episodes.

    🤣😂The karate kid and Top Gun, etc. references were really clever! 👍💥 Worcestershire is even impossible to pronounce for Americans native speakers of English! 😳 I can’t even do it after hearing it multiple times!

    I had no idea "iron" should be pronounced eye-on in British English. But it makes sense!
    BTW, you should have included the word "corps." :D

    Dimitris rocks!!!! I first pronounced "lieutenant" the American way, but then corrected myself to say "leftenant" to make it British :-). Just watched "Sanditon", too, where that word comes up quite a bit.

    Janusz gave the right pronunciation for the American version of the word "Anesthetist". Didn't realize that British English not only spelled it differently, but pronounce it slightly differently too!
    #6 is just where British English starts screwing with you xD.
    #14 Some of the Northmen in Game of Thrones definitely pronounced it as "eye-ron": "They can keep their eye-ron chair!"

I found the actor, his name is Steve Blount, but unfortunately he's not that big of an actor, so there's not a lot of information about him on the internet. All I could find is that he's apparently Irish.

      @@ArgusStrav ahh okay... that might make sense - I recommend looking for the phrase "how now brown cow" which actors have to practice saying to learn a Northern Irish dialect. Might explain the whole iron thing

    I LOVED THIS EPISODE 👍 It's very nice to bring so many of the Easy Language family together 😎😎 I liked the 80s intro a lot 😂 It was a kind of surprise to me that they mispronounced many English words although they are Westerners, glad to know that we Egyptians are not the only ones who mispronounce English (still I think we do it much more 🤣🤣)

      16 is pretty incredible considering I researched for quite some time on the hardest pronunciations, so well done 👏

    SIM or SYM simultaneously - it does not matter, there is, often, in British English 'no right way' as there are many ways, THIS is one word that is an example - most people in the northern half of Britain would say SIM !

    What a missed opportunity to demonstrate the differences between British and American pronunciation. So many of the words sounded weird to me being pronounced in British. Nevertheless was fun to watch.
