Always nice to see Easy Languages Cinematic Universe haha!
Marvel better watch their back 👊
Why did Dimitris get his perfect pronunciation from? 😅 He should give us all some classes before we fail so miserably at the next game 😂
😂 He's a fountain of knowledge... he could be our Easy English guru
He is quite the guru! He even knows that some words are pronounced differently in the UK and in the USA.
I know! We were mightily impressed when he pulled out both pronunciations of lieutenant. 🤯
Ha, thanks guys! My Australian dad/English teacher's strictness and corrections are finally paying off! 😂
He is half Australian.
Congratulations! You have made the best intro in the history of Easy Languages. 🤩👏
I loved the video, it's a pity that I didn't get it right, but we laughed a lot while recording the video and I laughed when I saw myself in words like subtle. 🤣😂🤭
Oh wow! Big… big words!
Nothing in this video is funnier than sub………tle 😛
😂😂😂
Seeing the Easy Catalan folks is always a delight
Janusz always makes me laugh. He's got a great sense of humor!
That's something we can all get behind! 😂
Can you say that he is...humorous? ;)
@@halfthefiber Absolutely! Janusz is a humorous guy
If you ever feel useless, remember the vowels in the word "Queue" exist ;-)
Good advice 🙌
Best comment ever
Best comment ever!!! 😂🤣 sorry had to say it again!!!
Easy Philosophy?
@@EasyEnglishVideosyes
Idk how i ended up here but i watcch easy German all the time, ive never heard Cari speak English before.
It was fun hearing everyone try tricky English words too! :)
Excellent! Loved Janusz living his best life in the opening montage! Congratualtions to Dimitris from Easy Greek - fab pronunciation!
We’re so happy you liked it! The whole Easy Languages team are all legends for getting so into the intro video 💛
He is half Australian.
@@chrysgnt4369 Haha - that explains a lot! :-)
Amazing!! So happy to participate! Love from Athens! Marilena, easy greek
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
You were brilliant! Your laugh is so infectious 🤣😂🤣😂
Greetings to Athens from Brighton ⚡️🏖
This is what Marvel Comics Crossovers look like in real life!! All of you are our heroes!!
🦸♀️🦹♂️🦸♂️🦹🏿♀️🦸🏽♀️🦸🏼🦹🏾♂️
The 80's intro was just bloody brilliant. Love it!
Thanks mate 🙌
I hope you enjoyed all the references 👩🎤
This feels like karma for all my battles with Italian and German pronunciation 😆. It’s interesting to see how people pronounce English words. What a great video.
😂
Thanks for your support… how many did you answer correctly?
@@EasyEnglishVideos All but one. I went for the American pronunciation of lieutenant 🙈 (I’m excluding my attempt to pronounce the last word because I’m sure its length technically makes it German 😂) Happy weekending Mitch, Isi and all the EL teams.
@@tinyclix9575 I must say... the pronunciation of lieutenant makes waaaay more sense in American English.
Happy weekend to you... thanks for your support 🙌
Dimitri is the absolute boss in this game 👍!
Awesome video! As a native speaker of American English, these peculiarities in rules of spelling and pronunciations in English are pretty natural to me since I learned how to speak those words before I learned how to spell them back in elementary school.
Conclusion: I got the words lieutenant and borough wrong because I didn't know their British pronunciations but now I do! 😃
I’ve been a member of Easy German for years, and recently added a few more Easy Language subscriptions on UA-cam. I’m a native Long Islander (NY), so clearly don’t need English help, but this shite is hilarious 😂. Thanks! Unflatteringly for me, it reminds me of making fun of my dad and abuela’s accents.
Dimitris from Easy Greek does excellent videos about the Greek language. He is a brilliant presenter. However, due to the fact that he is half Australian, he clearly has an advantage over the rest in pronouncing English words. It would be like having Katie from Easy Italian taking part in this kind of episodes.
🤣😂The karate kid and Top Gun, etc. references were really clever! 👍💥 Worcestershire is even impossible to pronounce for Americans native speakers of English! 😳 I can’t even do it after hearing it multiple times!
Yes! we were waiting for the references... There's another one in there to do with a Stallone movie.
How many did you get?
@@EasyEnglishVideos the Rambo upside down pushups? 👍👍👍😂🤣
That's not it but I'm sure he does it in almost all his movies 😂
I had no idea "iron" should be pronounced eye-on in British English. But it makes sense!
BTW, you should have included the word "corps." :D
I love your vids, even as a Brit. I’m pretty sure Dimitris speaks better English than most of the Britain 😂
He is half Australian.
The opening was epical omg😍
I really enjoyed the video, i laughed a lot at this. Keep the work going guys, y'all rock love this chanel 😍♥️
Thanks a lot for watching! 🙌
Glad you enjoyed the beginning… always wanted to make a montage.
How many did you know?
@@EasyEnglishVideos no problem ♥️
I think o only 4 😅😂
That’s pretty good… we made it quite hard this time 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You're all so damn funny, I wasn't even planning on learning English. But it's nice to see the family united, watch them fail and realise how I've been doing it wrong myself since forever like a complete idiot xD.
This is why we don’t even try to do the correct pronunciation ourselves.
Easy languages is such a talented network 🤩🤩🤩
Geez these are tricky words to be giving non native speakers!!! As an American English native speaker I still got some of the British pronunciations wrong.
As a Brit, I struggled… and I chose the words
Great video! Thanks for sharing it with us ♥️
Thanks Adolfo 🙌 how many did you know?
@@EasyEnglishVideos well were only 8 :)
Pretty good IMO 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Intro is so funny and cool!
Thanks Tasbike 🙌
Haha ... I love when you all take part. And Janusz' guitar intro was quite impressive ... I knew most of the words, but that I used the American version of lieutenant was new to me. :D
Dimitris rocks!!!! I first pronounced "lieutenant" the American way, but then corrected myself to say "leftenant" to make it British :-). Just watched "Sanditon", too, where that word comes up quite a bit.
Janusz gave the right pronunciation for the American version of the word "Anesthetist". Didn't realize that British English not only spelled it differently, but pronounce it slightly differently too!
#6 is just where British English starts screwing with you xD.
#14 Some of the Northmen in Game of Thrones definitely pronounced it as "eye-ron": "They can keep their eye-ron chair!"
😂😂😂 it’s like we don’t want you to say it correctly.
Interesting about the GoT fact. Do you know where they’re from? In the real world, that is 😂🏰🧙♀️⚔️
@@EasyEnglishVideos Tried leaving a comment, but it seems anything that has a URL in it gets automatically removed by the spam filter. I found the actor, his name is Steve Blount, but unfortunately he's not that big of an actor, so there's not a lot of information about him on the internet. All I could find is that he's apparently Irish.
@@ArgusStrav ahh okay... that might make sense - I recommend looking for the phrase "how now brown cow" which actors have to practice saying to learn a Northern Irish dialect. Might explain the whole iron thing
I couldn't count but I did love the episode! Good one, Easy English!!! 💯😁
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed 🙌
Even though they speak English quiet fluently they find most common english words as they've heardit for the first time
Oh this was fun but hard to guess! Reading a word is not the same as saying it. I love to see your friends from all over the world!
British English pronunciations mostly make no sense. But at least the spellings are nice to look at, right? 😬
@@EasyEnglishVideos Yes. And your videos are always FUN! Thank you!
Thanks for your kind words… how many did you get correct?
@@EasyEnglishVideos About 50%. Lieutenant is tricky like "colonel"! #21 was too hard 😂.
Yeah, why are army related pronunciations so difficult? I think only Dimitris can pronounce #21
The beauty of being Greek is that long words are child's play. Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia? That's my uncle's name.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Fun, but not sure constant repetition of wrong pronunciation is best idea.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE 👍 It's very nice to bring so many of the Easy Language family together 😎😎 I liked the 80s intro a lot 😂 It was a kind of surprise to me that they mispronounced many English words although they are Westerners, glad to know that we Egyptians are not the only ones who mispronounce English (still I think we do it much more 🤣🤣)
And greetings to Dimitris especially for pronouncing that last word 👍🤠🤠
Did you get any of the references? Also, how many did you get correct? Dimitris got all of them correct I think which is super duper impressive 🤯
@@EasyEnglishVideos I got the one from The Karate Kid, I guess the press-up scene appeared in several 1980s movies by Van Damme and Stallone. I got 16 words correctly, is that good?
@@islamadam8502 Absolutely... I tried to make a reference to Rocky IV when he crushes a picture of Ivan Drago in the mirror... so cheesy
16 is pretty incredible considering I researched for quite some time on the hardest pronunciations, so well done 👏
Me, an English Canadian: wow, I cant wait to learn some English!!
😆
so cool
Thanks 🙌
SIM or SYM simultaneously - it does not matter, there is, often, in British English 'no right way' as there are many ways, THIS is one word that is an example - most people in the northern half of Britain would say SIM !
What a missed opportunity to demonstrate the differences between British and American pronunciation. So many of the words sounded weird to me being pronounced in British. Nevertheless was fun to watch.
Don’t worry… we have plans for an 🇺🇸 vs 🇬🇧 episode 😉
18-carat gold, this vid, Mitch, old mate! 👍😁👍
"Comb" and "simultaneously" were _almost_ my downfall, the buggers, but I got them in the end. Perfect score here. 😎
I was also very glad to see my dear fellow countrywoman, Paulina, _slashed_ her way through them!
🇲🇽💪😎💪🇲🇽
Thanks and well done mate 🙌
Comb is a sneaky little one isn’t it?
Paulina smashed it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow ,I can see that is hard!
that's interesting. even though I'm British I would pronounce "lieutenant" the American way.
I'm sure, from all the Hollywood movies I've watched, I've made the same mistake
Again, why there are not easy Russian, easy Dutch, easy Czech, easy Swahili etc. ?
We're sorry! 🙏
We do ask each team to get involved, but the Easy Languages teams are often super busy with their own projects... maybe next time 🙌
Ok, thanks for replying. But I do want to see the English pronunciation of Czech people. 🤗
@@schooltechnology3551 Thanks for your support! 🙌
English: we'll borrow this word from your language
Other language: oh okay, so you'll pronounce it the same way we do?
English: lol no
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
... we want to keep all the other languages on their toes.
"Comb" got me. I'm from the US. :D
It's the innocent looking beast! How many did you get overall?
Was that last one even a word? In ANY Language?!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Silvia 💜
I wish I could include all the footage as Easy Catalan seemed to have so much fun! I hope you check out their channel!
@@EasyEnglishVideos it's how I ended up here, and I'll be sticking around! The footage was definitely peak Easy Catalan vibes, but honestly everyone was great
@@marlyd Oh brilliant! Thanks for your support! 🙌
Just give Dimitris the crown already XD
😆😆😆😆 🤴🏻
ion care how it's supposed to be pronounced, i'll keep saying eye-ron.
jk great video as always. idk how but you keep improving every week. congrats izi and mitch! keep up the great work guys!
🤣😂🤣😂 thanks Agustin!
yine masadayız
16 out of 21! Proud European writing to you from the 🇺🇸 I should have done so much better! Oh! Actually I did lieutenant wrong. I pronounced it like the Americans do! The horror!!! 🧐
Decent score! Greetings from Brighton 🏖
@@EasyEnglishVideos Greetings Earthling!❤️🤣😂😜
😂🙌
🤪hipopo….hobia 👍👍👍
1:56 😃
There is no good reason for pronouncing lieutenant and anaesthetist the way you Brits do. 🤣
Maybe it was so we could eventually make silly pronunciation videos with 80’s montage intros on UA-cam.
Effing hell 2 minutes in and the video has still not started
😆🤣🥱
Mr Greek, you're a beast
Go follow Easy Greek! Their content is top
He is half Australian.
I've got like 5 right and I'm writing from Germany
Well done... we did say they are difficult so that's a pretty good score 👏👏👏
Me: Laughthing so bad whenever I mispronounce some of the words🤣
Glad to see Cari and Janusz... I don't know why Janusz makes me laugh👁👄👁 Thanks for the video Mitch😉
What score did you get?
I agree, Janusz is a comedian by nature 🤣
I didn't count at all and I'm just laughing in the whole video😅
@@VenniisaSays Hahaha fair enough... we'll take that as a big win 😁
The last word makes me strange ( IT IS VERY LONG 😅!!!)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
🙌 How did you do?
I am good , yourself ? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@seham370 Nooo. He wasn’t asking you ‘how are you?’ Rather he wanted to know if you did well in pronunciation test!
As a matter of fact , i am not very good in prononciation , but i did try .. thanks for asking Mr mitch
We are good! Very happy to publish this video after almost a year since the last. I hope this video helps you 🙌🙌
