For a lighter side of Ren, check out Losing It, Loco, or Uninvited.

When you mentioned not liking the heavy breathing/grunting, this just means Ren accomplished what he was going for. It's meant to make you feel uncomfortable and awkward; fitting for the subject matter. Another great reaction. Check out The Tales of Jenny & Screech, The Money Game Trilogy, Murderer (live acoustic version), Fred Again mash-up and some of his incredible duets like Crutch, Chalk Outlines and How To Be Me. 💛🤘🤙✌️

You really need to listen to the lyrics with Ren. He's a master lyricist! He's a poet really and a bloody great poet at that! :)

Try Money Game Part3, the video won awards, great song also... all his songs are great and varied. He was in a band called the Big Push doing live stuff on the street, worth a look.

This isn’t an easy song to listen to, it’s meant to shock you and make you feel uncomfortable about listening to it!
I think you understood the points about the meaning behind it, your reaction and assessment was good.
I think that Jenny and Screech would be a good song to follow this, however there are songs by the group of people that he used to play with before he went to Canada for treatment called The Big Push - I shot the sheriff (an Eric Clapton cover) is a good choice.
Looking at your videos it seems possible that you might like Rock music, if so I can recommend to you a great band! They are 3 sisters from Mexico called The Warning. They are fully bilingual and mostly sing in English, their music is basically classic rock but with a modern twist. If you would like to listen to them I would suggest 2 songs - Hell you call a dream, live at the Pepsi Center CDMX, Automatic Sun - a live performance that has a studio overdub because the audience went crazy and another band was playing on a nearby stage - from the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival
You can find the videos on The Warning’s UA-cam channel along with the whole of their history since they were tiny children!

The warning is a great suggestion. I really think it's a must for any lovers of rick music. New or old. Plus the fact that their recordings are such high quality makes them perfect for reactions. Leaving aside the obvious prodigious talent of the ladies.

Thank you. She likes more Rock/Metal songs, and I prefer Rap/HipHop. Thanks for the suggestions we will check them out

@@WeWatchedThat2 Interesting, there’s a song by The Warning that’s been done with a collaboration with Alessia Cara the Canadian R&B singer, it’s their re-imagined version of the song Enter Sandman, it’s the result of Metallica telling them they had to use the same lyrics but anything else was their choice - it’s the #1 track on Metallica’s Blacklist album which is a 30 year anniversary of their Black album. Lots of artists were invited to do covers in their own way, it’s an interesting listen! Again the song can be found on the band’s UA-cam channel.
I forgot to mention, the band has a worldwide following, they have just finished touring Europe and Japan and have now come back to the UK and are going to Wacken open air festival next month, they have over 250 gigs already organised this year and are already planning their early 2025 gigs of North America and Canada.

@@WeWatchedThat2 That's the beauty of The Warning they have found a way to be a more accessible kind of rock without diluting the sound, plus their songs are very varied in styles. And they are just beastly live, so always go for the latest live video on their UA-cam channel. 🤘🏻

This was after Hi Ren, in fact, if I recall correctly, it was the very next video after it.

Sick boi was filmed before "Hi Ren"... In one of Ren's interview they had to hurry and wrap up " Hi Ren" because he was actually leaving for Calgary pretty much right after this shoot. If it didn't turn out then they lost their opportunity because he was going to be in Canada for a while.
