CROCHET HEADBAND BLUE DAHLIA FLOWER FOR BABIES 0-6 MONTHS AND OLDER - CROCHET FOR BEGINNERS

- Learn to crochet this pretty and easy to make headband in half double crochet with a Dahlia flower accessory. Easy enough for beginners. Slow step by step instructions.
From size 0-6 months and above.
Hook size I used is 5.5 MM
Use a yarn size 3 light for this version. (SEE BELOW FOR SUGGESTIONS)
If you use a thinner or thicker one, simply adjust the number of chains and measure the length of the band. Perfect for spring and summertime.
(Never leave a baby unattended with a headband)
Note: after finishing the base chain and (after every turn), on a hdc you would skip 2 chains for the height(add 2 chains), I only skip 1(add 1), which is fine. No biggie, do not worry about it.
As a reference newborn babies need 11 inches
0-3 months 11-12 inches
3-6 months 13-14 inches
6-9 months 15-17 inches
Toddler 16-18 inches
Child 17-19 inches
Teen 18-21 inches
Adult 20-22 inches
All of this depends on each person, some people have bigger heads and the yarn also plays a role.
Cheers Crocheters
xoxo

I love how close and detailed your video is . Some people move so fast and it’s so hard to keep up when you are a beginner like myself . Atleast with your video I can see where the needle is going into.
I love this Monica, thank you 🙏 it is exactly my purpose to help beginners as best as I can create cute projects.

Very nice thank you
So happy to hear this. Thank you Mouna!!!
@@humblehus I appreciate your nice work
It is very nice headband and I will make one. For this tutorial it would be better to use lighter colour of yarn to see more clearly. This is specially important for beginners.
Iwona thank you for watching and thank you for your feedback. I will take it into consideration for future tutorials :)
Hello. Fantastic tutorial for this beginner. Thank you so much.. Do you possibly have a baby swaddle blanket?
Hello Sarenda, so happy you enjoyed it! I do have several blankets on my channel, but they are either too thick or too large to be used as swaddle blankets. I am confident if you were to adjust the number of rows referring to the length, one would surely work as a swaddle. Thank you for watching. ( somehow I had not seen some comments, that is why it took me so long to respond).
@@humblehus thank you for replying.
Multumesc frumos.
cu plăcere 😉
Thanks for sharing

What size hook did you use??
Jennifer thank you for pointing this out to me. I have added the size of the hook on the text. It is a 5.5 MM
Have a lovely day
