You've been stationed here at the Mojave Outpost long enough to know when it's going to be a quiet night. You can't say exactly what the signs are, you just know when it's going to be an evening without any attacks from bandits, the Legion, or radiated critters. Of course you will keep awake and aware at your post as a good soldier of the NCR, but you are still going to enjoy the relative peace that this night will provide.
What I like about the New Vegas' ambience is that its not only music but also the sounds of breaking glass, something falling over, distant dog or coyote howling and barking, distant shooting sounds and at night the sound of crickets in the grass. It really does make the wasteland alive and eerie. When I first played this game I was only a kid and the soundtrack in this game sometimes creept me the frick out.
Playing Sierra Madre now. Oh boy how I miss Mojave Wasteland! Cannot wait to get back to its gentle arms. Still, I know I will be happy I did that DLC once it is over.
@@froghunter7277 Sorry for late reply but UA-cam system did not alert me at all...(or then I got busy with real life jumping on me). Not at all hard to let go because I managed to get away with all the gold bars plus everything else I wanted such as all the chips and complimentary vouchers.
@@froghunter7277I find it hard to let go of the Madre. It actually calls to me and I've started at least 2 NV playthroughs just to go there again. Last time I went I decided against using any exploits and just took as many gold bars as I really could, which was shockingly few.
I remember walking through the Mojave during the night time and it being about 3 something in the morning, and just listening to the chirping and the ambience just brought me so much peace and tranquillity I love it.
Thanks for the great upload! Could you make some with radio chatter in the background? It would be great to listen to that Mr. New Vegas; he seems such a wonderful fella.
Everybody's missing nuclear winter and I'm here like "nah, I like Mojave better... even if I sunburn easily". Yes, Arcade reference intended 😉 Also, this is a great video, it helps me sleep 👍🏻
@@Daniel_Lancelin I may get that perk sometime as well (I am using something....extraordinary that removes the limit in gaining perks) though it is not necessary. Animals often are not the biggest thing to worry about in Fallout games (though a Yao Guai tier apex predator can kill even a relatively high level protagonist if you are not careful).
One of my latest videos is set right outside the fort. The audio is just the same as in there. You can check that out: ua-cam.com/video/boGLwkaCW4w/v-deo.html
A quiet night in the Fallout universe? That’s rare. Lol.

then you see a gang of people who look like they are part of a gang dressed in blue uniforms walk up to the place
As you load your service rifle the men in blue uniforms start throwing dynamite
@@thecourier2905 the ncr ranged fired his anti material rifle at the men in blue uniforms from the ncr prison
And then... Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
Reading all of that in the narrators disgruntled raspy voice put a smile on my face.
Instant nostalgia. Play this game enough and these ambient noises get ingrained deep in your brain.
I don't know why these aren't more popular these are great! Really relaxing.
Because the only place i would see this video stream is my bar at night on 24 sized screen

Why do I have the sudden longing for a nuclear winter?
I'm currently playing this game, I'm addicted. This is excellent, thanks.

I honestly love this game so much, 10 years worth of excellent ambiance and creating my own stories.
I’m with you! I love the ambiences of this game, and frequently do my own RP or create my own stories as I play.

Ive played this game for years and i still cannot get over its ambient nights.

Keep on making these! Your awesome at doing it. I have been a huge fallout fan since part 3. New vegas and part 4 ambiance are no exception.
Thanks a lot!

It would be quiet, the small insects all over making all those insect noises are now giants and live on caves now
quiet night t the Mojave Outpost...
Except animal (or whatever) noises such as the one at 2:39 which would perhaps give me creeps if this was for real and not a game...
@@Cybernaut76 Sounds like a coyote; probably a nightstalker howling to its pack.
@@Daniel_Lancelin In other words, nothing to worry about for most of us (they are the reason why we have guns)
