That’s so awesome you have a LNS so close by with a bunch of support to help you get settled into a new place. I’m a newbie and barely stitch but I like stitching.
Hi Megan, AKA Georgia Girl! Good to watch a Georgia Stitcher! I live in Rome, Georgia but my daughter lives in East Cobb. I visit her weekly and try to stop and shop at Tiny Stitches when I am there. Tiny Stitches is a great shop! I love visiting the ladies there! I enjoyed watching your video! I first started cross stitch when I was about your age but once I got married and had children it got put away for a long time, like 35 years. I have just discovered Floss Tube and have gotten back into stitching again. Everything about cross stitching is so different today, except for the actual cross stitch. I hope I can catch onto all the new stuff! Your mother sounds a lot like me. I had always sewn clothing from the time I was a teenager but got into quilting after I got married and had children. It is nice to see the younger generation stitching and crafting. Keep sharing your stitching!
Hi!! That’s so wonderful!! You will probably run into my mom at some point And it definitely sounds like you would have a lot to talk about! Thank you for watching!! 💙
Oh my word! We all started with 14 count Aida, masking tape, tiny hoops, DMC only floss. I'm 62, starting stitching in my 20's. I just recently tried Linen too! I love it. A little pricey. Learning just like you about all the fancy floss. Flosstube has totallied over taken my life. Boy has it this art changed in 40 years! Good job on your first video. You are a natural in front of the camera.
Megan, You do beautiful stitching for a new stitcher. You're not afraid to dive in and complete the harder patterns. Best of luck with your stitching. Stay well and enjoy your your stitching.
Thank you so much!! It is a very addicting hobby, especially when you add all of the beautiful pieces shown all over FlossTube! Thank you for watching! 💙
Hi, it’s so nice to watch a young person like myself have a similar passion of cross stitching! It’s hard to find, definitely looking forward to see more from you!
I loved your video. I hope you will continue them. The choice of patterns are fun to see. I am a beach girl whom likes bright tropical colors also. Good luck on your adventures.
Thank you so much! I am very excited to do more so stay tuned! I have many beach patterns that I plan to do soon that I’m excited to share! Thank you for watching! 💙
Enjoyed your first video and projects. Your Keepsakes pattern is lovely and a wonderful way to preserve your memories! The idea of a Beach Wall someday sounds wonderful, i have something like that since I was married in the Caribbean! I enjoy your curious and adventurous nature and how it comes thru in your video! Congrats on your Med School acceptance. looking forward to seeing more of your work and learning from you as you go!
You are delightful!! Am so glad I was gifted with seeing your first floss tube! I’m in the North Carolina mountains not quite two hours from Marietta! I’ve been cross stitching since high school too and have done the Pooh characters! Now 50 years later, am still loving my time with cross stitching! Starting my first HAED for stitch Maynia. I look forward to sharing your journey! You are bringing joy to many people!!
You are too kind!! Thank you!!! I LOVE the NC mountains! Nantahala National is our favorite and we drive through each time that we go to Asheville (one of my other fav places!) Good luck on you Maynia plans!! Thank you for watching!! 💙

Great first flosstube...looking forward to more... Thanks for sharing your life stories and stitching stories...how refreshing that you live cross stitch...welcome!
Megan! An awesome first FlossTube! Another good reason to do videos is so your Cincinnati stitching friends can continue to be part of your life after you’ve moved away. I loved hearing your Keepsakes story...I smiled through so much of your video. You are an intrepid stitcher and have accomplished so much during the past couple of years. I look forward to your next video! 🤗
War Eagle! You will love Auburn!! You have a great start on stitching and I enjoyed watching! My youngest daughter was married on the beach in Key West at sunset. It was so amazing and beautiful. Best wishes for your future and Go Navy also.
Great first video! Love your first stitchings! I never made anything as big as you when I started stitching! I'm impressed! Can't wait to see you Celtic lady when it gets back from the framer! You were so at ease in front of the camera - a real natural Floss Tuber!
A lovely first video. Looking forward to seeing your finished projects. It took me years to stitch a large lady so yeah for you! Stay well and happy stitching.
Thank you so much!!! I’m excited to show them hopefully soon! I was an obsessive monogamous stitcher on the winter lady which was only reason it happened so fast haha Thank you for watching! 💙
Enjoyed your video! I am also from Georgia and grew up in Decatur. You have some lovely pieces you have stitched! I am also a quilter like your mom and a stitcher again after many years of being away from it. Look forward to your next video.
Great video! What a great time to begin flosstube production! Stay at home time and at the beginning of so many firsts! My husband and I were married while in college and throughout both of us going to graduate school and completing doctoral program. The first nine years we were both in school! Now we will be celebrating 45 years of marriage this summer! I look forward to hearing about some of your experiences...some will be crazy, but wonderful! Your stitching is inspiring and love all your beach colors! Lynn in Indiana
Thank you so much!! That’s so great!! Congratulations! We will be having a similar story with all our schooling/training haha Thank you for watching!! 💙
Hello from Rhode Island. Enjoyed your video. Impressed that you got so much done during college. I started stitching around 20 years old and been at it for 40 years - mostly everything was given as gifts now started stitching for me the past year - it sure has changed over the years. The first piece I did for my boyfriend (now husband) 30 some years ago was of his Alaskan Malimute. Good luck in Med School. I work at RI Hospital.
Thank you!!! I may have stitched a little too much in college 😂 Better than other things I could have been doing haha Mine were mostly gifts as well but are now mostly for me too! Thank you for watching! 💙
Hi Megan! I’m an Ohio stitcher and crocheter! I live on the other side of Columbus. I am not a new stitcher , but dropped off for about 20 years. Now I’m back to it and I love it! Can’t wait to go to Keepsakes when this is all over!
Welcome back to the cross stitch world!!! I’m excited for you to experience Keepsakes - in my experience, it is life changing ☺️ Bring some stitching and plan to stay for a while 💙
You did an amazing job! You are absolutely delightful! Yes, we all started with Aida and masking tape. You’ve learned a lot in a short period of time and you completed some large projects right out of the gate. I’m impressed in many ways. 😍
Enjoyed your first video. Heard Pam and Steph announce your name on their floss tube channel so wondered over to have a look. Loved your enthusiasm and presences, and will look forward to viewing what you're up to in med school and stitching pleasures. It'll be fun to watch how your stitching evolves over time.
Well…..two years after you started Flosstube, I found you! Love your enthusiasm and talent! I look forward to watching all of your videos and catching up on your 2 years after beginning Flosstube. I’m from Georgia (but we are a Georgia Tech 🐝 family) and I’m excited to find another Georgia girl. Fast forward, I’m outside of Charlottesville now, my oldest daughter is in Harrisonburg and my middle daughter is in Norfolk. So, I am very familiar with both Georgia and Virginia. I will definitely follow your journey and be a regular on your channel.
Welcome to floss tube!! Enjoyed your video and I’m amazed by your huge finishes!!! I have to say, my blood runs ORANGE! Go VOLS! Good luck in all you do...can’t wait to join in the journey!
Wow, Megan! Amazing stitching! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and projects. Great job on your first floss tube video. I fell down the floss tube rabbit hole a few months ago and am having a blast! Would love to visit Keepsakes one day. Happy Spring from SE Michigan! 🌷
Great video Megan!!!! I enjoyed seeing all of your projects and happy to say I saw your Celtic girl when it was a work in progress. I look forward to the next video. Take care and stay safe. Hope to see you soon!
Hi, Mandy, I heard about you from Pam and Steph. You did a great job with your first FlossTube. I could hear you very well and your lighting and picture were great. I enjoyed getting to know you through you showing your projects, from old to new. My 2011 wedding colors were turquoise, royal blue, jade green and purple; each bridesmaid wore a different color and carried white roses. I carried red roses. I am excited to hear more about your wedding plans over the coming months. It sounds like you have a very supportive mother, which is a blessing. I am also a quilter. I typically show a quilt behind me, in my FlossTube videos (My Stitchy Home, also on Instagram). I am originally from Indiana, but moved to Columbus, Georgia 33 years ago (40 minutes east of Auburn, Alabama.) I went to Stitch-Con 2019; did you? There is a needlepoint shop In Montgomery AL and the closest cross stitch shops are near Huntsville AL (Cross Stitch Peddlar and Patches & Stitches (which also has quilt fabric). Sadly, there are no cross stitch shops in Georgia! That said, please don't feel you have to buy stuff to show. Showing what you are working on, are thinking about working on and your past finishes, is enough. I constantly remind myself that something can be pretty and live at the store. It doesn't have to come live at my house. I have more than enough wonderful, exciting kits and patterns already. Not just 1-2 years worth, but more like 30 years worth. I like medium to large projects and they take awhile. Sigh... I hope we get to meet in person one day. Be well and happy stitching! -- Becca Klash
Thank you for checking me out!! Your wedding sounds gorgeous! I will check out your FlossTube as well. Columbus isn’t that far at all! Very cool! Unfortunately I found out too late about stitch-con 2019 so I wasn’t able to go. Maybe one year! Thank you for letting me know about the LNS somewhat close by! I wish GA had one, but I’ll just have to make an occasional trek out to Huntsville. I appreciate all of your feed back! I have had to have similar thinking mostly due to budget restrictions - but I also don’t have a large stash to choose from 😅 I hope we can meet as well! Thank you for watching! 💙 ~Megan
Welcome to FlossTube Megan! You are a natural at this. Can we be spirit sisters? I LOVE Tigger!!!! Ever since I was a little girl and I even still have a stuffed animal my babysitter gave me when I turned 4 that I called Tigger. I learned to stitch is the 80s and the masking tape edges was the thing to do for sure. We then advanced to FrayCheck. Lol Love all of your stitching. Everything is so beautiful. Your Keepsakes piece will be such a wonderful memory piece of your time in OH. I have family living in GA - Snelville, Loganville. Congrats on getting into medical school! Look forward to your next update. Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much!! YES definitely!!! Spirit Sisters in Tigger for sure! I have a shelf of my stuffed animal Tiggers so I can relate! Thank you again! Happy to have you along! 💙
Megan! It’s so good to finally “meet” you! I’m glad you took the advise from your Mom and me and found Keepsakes! I loved your first video! Already looking forward to your next one! Blessings-Lorraine
Hello! You did a great job! I live in Marietta and am a quilter who spends lot of time at Tiny Sitches and my daughter attends UGA.:)) Something that helps stitching on dark aida is keeping something white underneath it. It just helps to see the holes. Also, check out the Halo Go rechargable light. It is portable and is a really awesome light.!I got mine at the Fat Quarter Shop.
Hi!! That’s amazing!! You and my mom have a lot in common!! you may have actually been at Tiny Stitches at the same time at some point - she’s there a lot too 😂 That’s really good advice - Thank you! I’ll check out the Halo Go as well! Thank you for watching and Go Dawgs! ❤️🖤
I actually love long videos since I can listen to people and stitch without stops. I really liked your first video and I totally understand this feeling of anxiety sitting in front of a camera for the first time. I just did my first flosstube a week ago and I was super nervous! Looking forward to see the colors you chose stitched, really love the idea of converting the Celtic ladies.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! I will check you out as well! Definitely go to the Facebook group for the ladies and I’d be happy to chat about them as well! Thanks for watching! 💙
Great first video -- you do like your full coverage -- I see HAED's in your future! Never say never on flosstube. LOL. Thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching. Looking forward to seeing your finishes when they came back from the finishers.
Hi from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Your first video popped up in my feed and I enjoyed it this morning and have subscribed. I had never seen Carolyn Manning's designs before; now I have to choose which colour in the 'flower a day' series I will do. Look forward to following your stitching and life adventures. Take care.
Hi!! Thank you so much for checking me out!! Her designs are quite the rabbit hole and she has many colors to choose from way beyond what I even bought haha Thank you for watching! 💙
Hello From France. Your video popped up in my UA-cam recommandations .. such a a great idea ! I love your wip and can’t wait to see your finishes .. have a great day !
Great job on your first video! Fellow Georgian and Dawgs fan, although my family is originally from Cleveland, OH. :) Keep up the stitching and videos!!
Hi Megan!! It was so nice to see you first video!! I love all your works, the colors are beutiful!! I am in the same line too!! Thankyou for sharing!! 👍👍👍
Great first Flosstube! I agree that the flosstubers I like the most are the ones that share about themselves and their lives. I mostly follow people that stitch things I wouldn't personally stitch, because I just enjoy their videos the most! And I do love seeing these other things, and stitching vicariously through other people LOL! Never say never on a HAED. I never thought I'd do any full coverage pieces, and I crossed that line at a run. =P
First I want to wish you much good luck in your upcoming marriage (my hubby & I have been married 51 years!) and your new medical career in-the-making! When my children were very young, I did a lot of cross-stitch, crewel & embroidery, but I always used kits...not sure if counted cross stitch was even a thing back then. A visit with my SIL, a few months ago, started my newfound love of counted cross stitch. She even bought me my first pattern & supplies (a small Christmas piece) to let me see if I actually enjoyed it. Well, I fell in love, immediately placed a few orders with "Everything Cross Stitch," rearranged my craft room to accommodate my new passion, and have been cross stitching every night since then! I sew, quilt, scrapbook & make cards and am lucky enough to have my own dedicated space. I love seeing young people get interested in some of the "older" kind of creative outlets...we don't want them to fade out of existence. Warm hugs, Carol
Glory glory! So good to see a UGA girl on here! I was flipping around and saw a picture of UGA(dog) behind u and had to stop and see.Got one daughter at UGA and the other one at Kennesaw State! Love to see your work and wonderful first floss tube! Go dawgs! ❤️
Beautiful designs you are working on. Love the beach also and now can look at designs you highlighted. Best of luck in your studies and upcoming wedding.
Love you and your video! You need to come live in Hawaii since you love the beach and sunsets and sunrises so much! 😉 But you've done some awesome projects! And one day I hope to be brave like you and make a floss tube video! Can't wait for your next video!
Thank you so much!! I would LOVE to come live in Hawaii!!! I just have to convince everyone I love to come too haha But I seriously would love to come visit Hawaii someday! And you definitely should!! It was actually a lot of fun to do! I just had to get through that first 5 min intro and then it just flowed out of me. So glad to have you along for the ride! 💙
Hello from Georgia. Glad to hear from another southern girl. I actually live on Lake Hartwell, real close to Clemson, SC. Loved your video and cannot wait until the next one. Oh yeah, I also went to UGA. GO DAWGS!!!!!+
Really enjoyed your video...and I’ve now got to add that “Aloha” sign to my stash! Love finding fellow 20-something stitchers! I still have to get up the nerve to make my first video haha 😊
Thank you so much!!! Also check out XStitchMD if you haven’t already for a fellow young stitcher as well! And you definitely should! It’s been so fun so far! Thank you for watching! 💙
Welcome!! You have so many beautiful projects! It was fun to hear about your stitching journey. Congratulations on med school! My MIL is a doctor which has been a blessing in many ways. She has some very interesting stories about med school (which she didn't start until she was in her 40's) and residency :-)
I enjoyed your video. You’re young and refreshing. I loved that you mentioned stitching to relieve stress. So many young people need to learn activities these days that will help with stress.
Thank you so much!! I am VERY grateful to have a relaxing hobby, especially during this time! So many of my friends don’t and it has affected them. I tried to get them into cross stitching but no luck.. some are starting embroidery though! Thanks for watching! 💙
I rarely comment on Flosstube videos, but I have to today :) I am from Marietta, my husband attended UGA and I went to Auburn. You will LOVE Auburn!! Congratulations on all your big upcoming life events and for starting a flosstube channel :) War Eagle!
WOW! That is so amazing!! You two are just the reverse of me and David! Do you have a “House Divided” mat in your house? I predict we will 😂 I actually am excited to live there - it feels so much like Athens, just a tiny bit smaller! Thank you so much!!! 💙
Well shout out to JustKeepStitchin' to mentioning you. Great first flosstube. My daughter lives in Marietta (also an MD) and I visit Tiny Stitches with each of my visits there. Keep on.
Just found your floss tube and congrats on your 1st video. I really enjoy watching all your wips love pooh bear and friends.😍 Hope to see more soon. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you so much!! I can’t hate the GT too much as my grandfather was VP of Research and both of my uncles went there so I’ll accept it 😉 haha thank you for watching!!💙
Welcome to FlossTube! I also have all of the Celtic women and finished noel years ago, though I gave her to my sister. Now that I have the stitchy bug back, I need to stitch one for myself. However, I decided to start with Winter, and it's a bit slow going. Loved the video and looking forward to more. I'm also a Georgia girl (Atlanta suburbs), but I'm a Tech fan. I'll forgive you if you forgive me. 😁
Winter can be slow, especially as your first in a while, but it will be so gorgeous! Can’t wait to see it! Thank you so much!! Nice to have another GA girl around And Deal ☺️💙
I enjoyed your first floss tube!! I look forward to seeing your progress on your WIPs! Very fun that you are from Georgia, too! Go Dawgs!! If your mom ever decides to make and sell another GA project bag, I'll be first in line! 🐾
Hi and welcome! I live in Augusta GA so not to far from UGA. I’m excited to hear about your life and watch your UA-cam videos. I would love to visit Keepsakes. Tell your mama I am a quilter too. Stay safe! 🧵
Lovely video, glad to have stubbled onto your video! 😉 You are a natural at speaking! Your stitching story was fun and hearing about everything else was darling. Gonna be a doctor? That’s awesome! Good luck! And hope to see another video from you!💗 I’ll go find you on IG now!😉🌸

Wow, Megan! Amazing stitching! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and projects. Great job on your first floss tube video. I fell down the floss tube rabbit hole a few months ago and am having a blast! Would love to visit Keepsakes one day. Happy Spring from SE Michigan! 🌷
Thank you so much!! FlossTube is amazing and definitely my happy rabbit hole! Thanks for watching! 💙
Welcome! Love your video, finishes and wips! Can’t wait to see your finishes!
Thank you so much!! Stay tuned as I have quite a few lined up to show! 💙
Congratulations on joining Flosstube! Enjoyed your first video and learning a little about you! Look forward to seeing more of your work! Blessings!
Thank you so much!!! And thank you for the shout-out on IG as well!!! 💙
Great video Megan!!!! I enjoyed seeing all of your projects and happy to say I saw your Celtic girl when it was a work in progress. I look forward to the next video. Take care and stay safe. Hope to see you soon!
Thank you so much!!! You are one of the very few! Thank you for watching!! 💕
I am originally from Indiana, but moved to Columbus, Georgia 33 years ago (40 minutes east of Auburn, Alabama.)
I went to Stitch-Con 2019; did you?
💙 ~Megan
Welcome to Flosstube. Great first video, you're obviously a natural. Your projects are so beautiful. Good luck at medical school.
Thank you so much!!! 💙
Lorraine!!! Thank you so much for watching!!! You seriously changed my life, and I’m so glad I can finally yell how grateful I am on a platform!! 💕
Great job on your video and great projects!! You are lucky to have all those stitchers in your life and to have an LNS so close.
Thank you so much!! And yes, I am trying to soak it up as much as I can before I move somewhere that has no LNS 😭 Thank you for watching! 💙
Fantastic first video Megan. Welcome from Zambia!! Loved all your projects. Look forward to the next video.
Zambia?! That is amazing!!! Thank you so much!! Excited to do more! Thanks for watching! 💙
You and my mom have a lot in common!! you may have actually been at Tiny Stitches at the same time at some point - she’s there a lot too 😂
That’s really good advice - Thank you!
Thank you so much!! Yes, never is a dangerous word 😂 thank you for watching! 💙
Wow!! That is amazing! Thank you so much!! 💙
You did great for your first time. You have done some beautiful stitching so far keep it up. Good Luck in venture on into your medical career.
Thank you so much!! 💙
Great job on your first video! Fellow Georgian and Dawgs fan, although my family is originally from Cleveland, OH. :) Keep up the stitching and videos!!
Thank you so much!! So happy to meet fellow Georgian/Ohioans that love the Dawgs! Thanks for watching! ❤️🖤
Hi Megan!! It was so nice to see you first video!! I love all your works, the colors are beutiful!! I am in the same line too!! Thankyou for sharing!! 👍👍👍
Hi Doris! Thank you so much!! It is my pleasure, and I am excited to continue on! 💙
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you agree! Stitching vicariously is definitely a hobby of mine 😂 And yes, you’re right - never is dangerous word! 💙
Girl you are a awesome stitcher! You did great with your video. Keep it up❤️
Thank you so much!!! I’m so excited to do another one! 💙
Enjoyed your first Flosstube very much! Looking forward to many more.
Thank you so much!! Grateful to have you along for the ride! 💙
Glory glory! So good to see a UGA girl on here! I was flipping around and saw a picture of UGA(dog) behind u and had to stop and see.Got one daughter at UGA and the other one at Kennesaw State! Love to see your work and wonderful first floss tube! Go dawgs! ❤️

Welcome!! You have so many beautiful projects! It was fun to hear about your stitching journey. Congratulations on med school! My MIL is a doctor which has been a blessing in many ways. She has some very interesting stories about med school (which she didn't start until she was in her 40's) and residency :-)
Thank you so much!! I am very excited! That is absolutely incredible! I can only imagine how crazy those stories are! 😅💙
Great first video!! Your projects and finishes are awesome! Congratulations on your soon to be medical school start! Have a wonderful day 😊
