ONG half time 3-0. The whole team have played well but especially the spine of the team. Piroe Rutter Gruev Rodon, and even Meslier. All superb. Archie Gray having a blinder. kamara playing his best game for weeks and Piroe looks sharp and up for it- total transformation

Farke's lack of rotation might end up a lot more leaving that we can handle. Byram is OK but Roberts is a more complete player.
I like the idea of bringing on DJ as a sub in the 70th minute and moving Gnoto to Ritter’s spot. Imagine trying to keep up with Gnoto all game and when your legs are knackered, dealing with a fresh DJ.
Would love to see joseph in the team. dont think farke will do that. but Josephs attributes are perfect for that role. especially if we are going to pin them in and press from the front. definitely think rutter should start on bench and come on to impact the game. Byram is probably our best headerof the ball in both boxes thats wjat keep him in. Roberts on if we need a goal.
We held Norwich to a draw with a lacklustre performance even though defence played much better than of late. so at home tonight I think we'll be ok on this one 2-1
This line up that Farke mentioned is problematic : Meslier will be aggressive but not smart, Rutter should not play, Summerville will score 2(at least), Bryam will be a beast to get past, Matteo should stay on the bench, as should Gelhart, Gray, Rodon… big things from Firpo, Cooper, and James (off bench) : Gnonto is an outside bet… There you have it… tough job on match day for Farke!!

We've missed Bamford in both Southampton games. The way Piroe plays in front of the defenders, when the opposition deploy a low block, we offer nothing. When Bamford is in play he gives defenders something to worry about, and we can break low blocks down. No Bamford in the final, and we're probably playing championship next season, barring a unusual occurance, we score first and just keep them out.

A Center Forwards role isn't to score goals, its to occupy opposing defenders attention. When they're too busy looking over the shoulders to see where the CF is, they're not concentrating on shots coming in from distance. When their focus is taken away, thats where our other offensive players score the goals we've scored as a team. Open your eyes to his overall game play, not just the small narrowminded view that a striker is there to ONLY score goals. I called it that without Bamford we wouldn't trouble Southamptons defense and we severely lacked that game play in the final. Their defenders had little to do because most of our play was in front of them and they can defend that all day long.

Lost in strange circumstances that went against the trend. Broke the hoodoo in 1990 and 2010 but only because of draws that pushed us into October. Coming into 2023 we were top. But our form had deteriorated badly and all the pundits said NO team had won a Premiership with such poor form in the lead up. 3 nail biting finishes later we were Premiers and we had finally won in September putting to bed forever the curse.
