Counter depth is absolutely better - looks better, food is easier to reach and organize, cleaning is easier. I wish there were more models on the market.

Also a no brainer for narrow kitchens.

Just got one & we are loving it. Able to see & reach everything easily. More space than we thought we would possibly have. No issues at all!

Another pro: less strain on a bad back or bad shoulders with shallow shelves. Lots of seniors live alone. These can be far easier for them to clean as well as reach and view contents.

Just replaced our 13 year old 25 cu ft French door with a new French door counter depth. Storage seems better organized in the new fridge so it seems larger. The two of use could not be happier!

I still remember when 18 cubic feet refrigerators were behemoths. Not counter depth either. lol

Thanks for the video, I was surprised when we moved and the groceries we had from the previous place didn’t fit into our new counter depth refrigerator. I had to get a chest freezer for the garage.

I'm a single/no husband. And when my family visits, I buy or have delivered the day before so no need to store in frig. Counter depth has worked great for me. Just wanted to let you know (and yes, I have a total of 12 siblings and we rotate where we spend holidays so I'm only hosting every 12 years -- not a big deal.

Glad to hear your fridge has worked well for you, sounds like you have a good system down. Thanks for watching!

Had a full depth side by side and so much crap would get hidden behind everything up front, the extra space was moot.

That's definitely a common complaint with full depths. I myself tend to forget all about the food I have in the back and then it goes to waste. Thanks for watching!

Yes, my mom used to live in a place that had one and we couldn’t fit in the deli platter.

Should you turn off the refrigerator if you're on vacation for a long time?

I know it isn't for everyone, but the premise of this video seems like it is going against kitchen trends, even in America, for not ultra luxury kitchens anyhow.

One Pro you left off, is potentially lower energy consumption/cost.

So you get a cheap fridge in the basement for the extra milk or OJ or beer or whatever. big deal. Having the extra space in your kitchen is worth a lot.

It's all just a matter of what's valuable to you! For some it's definitely worth it to have the extra kitchen room, for others more space in the fridge

22 cubuc ft is *small*? Are you kidding me? I could fit my first car in a 22 cu. ft. fridge 😂😂😂

It really just depends on how many you're needing to feed with this fridge! Like Blake said, for just a few people 22 cubic feet should be ok, but for a larger family that needs to stock up on groceries, it might not. It also will depend on how often you go grocery shopping. Depending on where you live and your lifestyle, you might need to stock up more than someone else, in which case the larger fridge is great.
