than and its alot easier to push the travel petals forward when going down a hill than to pull them back towards you. it can get interesting when your feet start to make the tracks hop
I watch Chris and your videos religiously.. and vantageles, PA Mining.. I watch as much as I can because I love iron and sometimes see how people do things different and better than me. I can't help that you don't see my face or hear my voice as if I'd asked it in person.
Manufactures recommend this kind of behavior with this type of machines. You should, when possible, have the drives on "the back" in order to protect them, I have to say, seeing Chris operating as smooth and careful as this made this top notch operating.
LamborghiniRulez is spot on with all the emissions garbage they are putting on all the new tier 4 stuff. The back has been made larger to house all the extra piping for the DPF and what not.
I asked two questions, and did not comment or criticize him. I wanted to learn why he kept the cab level with the ground. He answered back, which I appreciated. I'm in my 40s but never too old to learn. What burned me up is that you didn't say a word to another poster who did NOT ask any questions, and flat out said Chris was doing it wrong. Let that one go, but jump on my case for asking perfectly legit questions.
I have blown a gasket or two, probably best for me not to post on UA-cam. But I never do whats best..and I make a lot of money off youtube so I will just continue I guess? But thanks for the support! Nice Video game videos on your channel by the way. you have good hand eye coordination!
Chris id love to do what you do everyday pipelining is fun but its also a pain most times ,hotlines and gas company rules and regs i just wanna move dirt
Dont blow a gasket! Chris and I get tired of all the armchair operators and critics! Your comment didn't seem much like a question? More like a complaint?
How come you keep the tracks perpendicular to the ground on the descent. Aren't you leaving yourself open to tipping if one of the tracks hits a soft spot?
When everything is measured to work with that 316,of course it will perform good, put it on a hill I choose and then see how good it is,those mounds were strategically placed at that hight
theodore bormet you’d have trouble climbing the hill if you don’t do that. And the way he was turning the Tracks actually lengthens the life of the undercarriage
Well that's the right way to go up a hill, its the wrong way to come down though, you should of never turned the undercarriage around, you should always walk up a hill and always back down it to save track gear wear.
@@reverandhale863 You're supposed to *dig* with your final drives behind you, and that's not really a hard and fast rule either. Coming down a hill with your tracks backwards is fine as long as you lift them up and keep them level before you land to soften the impact on your final drives. Turning around like this can be good though if your pedals are difficult to accurately press backwards, which just varies from excavator to excavator. Some of them are easy to track backwards, and some aren't. Also can depend on how your seat is adjusted.
Was that really necessary, sir? Someone asked a question because they obviously wanted to LEARN from someone BETTER THAN THEM. Now leave me the hell alone or better yet try learn how to be nice to someone instead of snapping their head off for asking a good question.
Been using all different size excavators for 3 yrs in the UK, this guy's amazing so smooth on the controls great vids
I just prefer to be lever when doing down the hill. Keeps you from falling out of the seat and the machine tends not to slide as bad.

I'm operating a 312e at moment have been for 3-4 months excellent machines best I've operated!

The back end on that machine is massive. What has been added in there that it is taller than in the past?
Smooth as silk

I m guess the reason the drives must be at the back is if the track is worn or loose it can't skip over the drive sprocket then ?
its a brand new machine buddy

This guy is a pro

American awesome...here my country most of them show off but nothing
Probably all the filters and tricks to achieve Tier 4 emissions regulations.

Shawn Jerome you wouldn’t use a machine like that for anything much bigger than that hill. So your argument is invalid
So when are you taking this home?
@ lestdig18 was you equipment on lizard lick towing or something?
Baby version of this
its so easy a cave man can do it
good job,but dont do that in my machine, excessive wear ,those machines are to expensive

SuperMrcat you’re supposed to travel with drive motors behind you
