I did my masters in Business Analytics in 2018 from Melb. I am back on a student visa after I have finished my 485 visa. I extended my stay by getting a student visa that was granted to me for Adv.diploma project management in VIC (ending in Mar 2023). But I have now switched to Diploma in Horticulture (for immigration purposes) followed by Diploma+Adv.Diploma in Leadership management in SA. I really want this to work out. Any tips? I need to write a really convincing GTE.
During the whole visa refusal text, the first applicant from Hong Kong is referred to as "they", it's a completely correct way to talk about a person without mentioning THEIR gender. Accordingly, "THEIR wife" is not a grammatical error.
Very insightful video though as you can see actual reasons why some applicants were denied entry as a student! Thank you very much.

I got accepted to a University Masters program in Melbourne Australia. The program is only for 1 year and I have no plan on applying for a post graduate visa after studies because I have other plans.
According to the University, applying for 1 year program will have a greater risk in being denied a student visa. I would like to ask how true is it that taking on only a 1 year master in engineering impact my chances in being accepted?
We will apply onshore with my dependent both of us have subclass 600.
What if the reason for gap years was to focus on working. I was a 2nd year student but I had to stop and drop my college to go and find work and help my family. Would that give a high chance of rejection?
As long as their is reasons behind, you will be fine

The EU refusal if it was , it was 5 years ago plus my previous passport already expired. So does it matter? EU has no system sharing with 5 eyes?

Hii my visa got refused in 2018 and in 2020 i lost my passport. I got new passport but passport number got changed. So will my rejected visa record be will still there if i try with new passport that have different number from old passport?

Hello Sir! In my gte I stated that after completion I will go back to dubai to find a teaching job as they offer higher remuneration and incentives. However the case officer reasons of refusal is family ties and career pathway intention in my home country (Philippines). It seemed they overlooked the reasons of my gte. @@ChannelAMEC the reason is only my financial situation. I have withdrawn from tafe in 2020 and reauested the dept to cancel my student visa afterward due to the covid pandemic couple years ago. But that's not the reason of the refusal.

But many people currently in Australia have had to apply for student visas to extend their stay after 485 ends. Such people have already done their bachelor degree/master's degree in Australia and would rather not invest a lot more money on their education. They end up choosing cheap diploma courses in private institutions. Do you believe such people also have a high chance of getting rejected?
