Much, MUCH better than yesterday’s video. That one gave me a headache and turned me off of what looked like a beautiful yacht.
Today’s was informative and thorough comparatively which I’m sure most viewers will appreciate!
I prefer this type of "David Seale video" as well. That being said though, yesterday's vid was on a frigging HEESEN! Heesens are so awesome they speak for themselves.

What a wonderful yacht. The thing about Pershings is that they have a real air of presence when you see them moored amongst other yachts of similar length.

I always get drawn to Pershing even though since late I have been drawn (mostly because of your vlog) to Eco-style yachts. This size Pershing is the ideal yacht to get you started in yachting. A perfect 'drive yourself' yacht without the hassle and costs of crew. A nice geek note is that my dad's last SY was called First Lady too.

If you are in your forties, with a young family, and you can afford to spend 70-90 K a year on running, berthing and maintenance costs, then this is hands down the best yacht.
If you have young kids and want them to love the experience, getting to your destination fast and with safety is critical. Then they can enjoy the water and have fun, and the entire family is happy.
As you grow older and the kids go away, speed becomes much less important and the need for comfort and luxury kicks-in. Then you will naturally need something bigger, a nice crew to cater to your desires and keep the vessel clean, connectivity to run your business from the yacht, and appropriate accommodations for your guests.
As with everything in life, making the right choice at the right time makes all the difference.

Good idea to introduce a more affordable yacht this time which offers in my opinion excellent value for money. Priced at €890K with few hours on its reliable MAN diesel engines makes it a steal. As a former Pershing owner I would add that these yachts are very well build to withstand the high speeds and friction. The surface drives are an absolute thrill to operate and result in surprisingly low fuel consumption. With the drives raised one can even access shallower waters. Pershings age well and this particulur yacht is a testament to that.

Ha ha ha, nope. Much higher production quality, less of the "guy next door" style showing you around his yacht, and much more time in front of the camera. Totally different approach. Although he did access all areas for a change (albeit with very little detail compared with Nick).
A little more Aquaholic is a good thing. Crew qtr and engine room are always a plus.

Looks like the original purchaser went for a high spec yacht as it appeared to have chrome package on the MAN engines and not many people would add that without first including more functional upgrades in other area's. 600 hours plus is nothing, if you think about it that equates to between 20 - 30 heavily travelled "weekend" cruises. In a 2009 yacht that means 3 weekend cruises per year. Keep in mind the yacht engine hours includes hours not under way, sitting idle too while waiting to refuel and in harbours etc. Difficult to find such a sports boat with these hours at this price.

The crews quarters: Opening the hatch to let the sober captain take over when the owner captain is drunk is an idea that technology could easily revolutionise. Why not have a complete set of controls and large 4K monitors w/ high def cameras set up in the crew quarters and just let the captain do his job from his cabin?? Let's not kid ourselves, people who buy these boats tend to live their own adventures. If those adventures involve a lot of hookers & blow, gambling for example, keeping the Captain down in his cabin more than adequately performing his job is a win/win. Plus you don't have to introduce him to everyone "He's cool, he's 420 friendly, his media device has been locked up, etc,etc."
Having said that, you could even start up a new industry with online captains piloting boats remotely on a per hour basis. The Uber of Ships Pilots. A few potential safety issues, but....
The connotation that yacht owners just buy them to surround themselves with women and party like there's no tomorrow honestly isn't true the vast majority of the time. Aside from young folks that come into money and Hollywood, your yacht owners are typically 45-65 year old, accomplished business owners that just want to get away from everything and relax.
@@TheBoatDude I suspect it might depend partially on the type of boat. My experience is based on a guy who owns a very nice 55 foot sportfisher based in Panama. In his case, crew discretion is very important largely because he uses the boat as a pleasure craft and as a sales tool for wooing clients.
If you want repeaters you can get them installed, but likely will never be needed for most people's use.
This is not an explorer cruiser, this is a weekendy poser.
I enjoy this channel. But I also think it’s hilariously awful. Describing a boat that costs basically a million quid as ‘affordable’ .... looooooll
