Mike you know that we use several rods for trolling and sooner or later one will fall in. I like to use a marker buoy to mark the spot then open all the hooks where the fish would go on a stringer and tie paracord to the other end. Toss it in the area a few times and you will hook the rod or line. Knock on wood, I've never lost a rod using this method. This is standard equipment in my boat.
Thanks, I had asked that question awhile ago, but had figured out what you did........but only after I searched, and searched, and searched some more for a 15 fish stringer....they don't exist. :-) I am really enjoying these Baker Bits videos. I am a committed troller now because of your earlier videos, and never pass up a chartreuse shad Bandit at the sporting goods stores. Keep it up Mike!!!
Thanks for the Great video again mr baker! I’m too cheap to buy the expensive stringers so I bought 2 cheap rope stringers and 2 cheap chain stringers and did the same thing. Thanks again!
Thanks for the videos Mike. How about showing us your fish cleaning set-up on the dock. If you're filling those stringers you've got to be cleaning them!
Thanks for the tip. I don’t have a Bass Pro or Cabela’s local but found the same stringer, made by eagle claw, on Amazon. Bought 3 so I can make couple limit stringers.
Great tip! Went to Bass Pro in Springfield to get some of these to modify but I think someone else had the same idea and seen your video because they were all sold out lol!
Thanks very much love your show
I have a stringer like 👍 yours , had one made after I first saw yours .
Great idea and video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mike. Was great to talk to you at the ramp today! Looking forward to the video
Just did this, bought 3 stringers and made 2 with 15 hooks. Great idea!! Thanks Mike!
Where do you buy your stringer hooks? I make trout stringers and my supplier quit carrying them.
I buy two cable stringers from Bass Pro and combine them into one.
I like your common sense approach! Not going to bore you with the boring part, I appreciate that.
Mike, great idea!! Easy to forget fish counts , this is a smart creation.
Thanks for all of your secrets Mike. You’re saving me a lot of trial and error with all of your videos. Please keep them coming.

Good idea.
Mike that was a good tip from fishing headquarters thnaks
Good tip Mr Baker thanks
That's one of the greatest ideas I've ever seen. I have a boat with no live well and that would be great to hang off the side of the boat.

And you know, works
Thank you Mr Baker. I was wondering how you did that !!!
Most Oklahoma lakes have a 37-fish limit. That calls for a long cable!

Good video. Gonna head to BPS and the hardware store. I might even buy an extra 10 hook stringer for Truman blue cats.
Make that 3 cheap chain stringers!
