What’s ur rod? I tried using long leader where the fg is between reel and first eye, but everytime I cast it makes a noise like it’s hitting a guides but distance wise it’s good. That something I need to worry about? Rn I just have my fg right by the top of the rod with about 5ft leader cuz idk if that noise will dmg the guides.
Also using an 11ft tiralejo with 100lb mono leader
    Mahalos love your vids 🤙🏼

I stay using one black hole east coast special light. I get that same noise too. Practicing how I throw and all that… half and half sometimes get noise and no more.
I never had any problems yet. My pole been through so much and bugga still stay going

Aloha, other option is don't run fg through guides also distance will be added👍🏼😁

@@ayatu2 shorter leader = more likely to get cut if it does go to the rocks. I throw 50lb braids with 100lb flouro and casting distance is same but just makes noise sometimes.
Even all UA-camrs I watch have longer leader line just for that same reason (Cavy/Briggsy etc etc)
I lost 2 big hits here in Oahu from having that shorter leader line where it just runs to the rocks, rubs a little then gets cut on the braid.

Are you using a sinking stickbait or a floating?
