Great set! I got a complete set from my parents for Christmas in 1985. The rumor with Campbell was that he had a contract dispute with Topps about using his likeness on cards, but it is possible that it could have been the result of a fallout (or not being a member) with the NFLPA as their logo first appeared on the reverse of the 1980 Topps backs as the issues progressed through the 80s. I’m not positive on that; it’s just a thought. Campbell does appear on some regional issues (Sears Roebuck) and also the Fleer team action sets from the 80s, but the backs of those say “NFL Properties” rather than the NFLPA logo affiliated with Topps cards. I’m not sure on the whole story, though…just throwing it out there. I would also love to know more about that whole situation as I’m a fan of his. I’ve never purchased a custom card before, but may make an exception with the missing Campbell cards from the 80s as some folks out there have done some really cool ones that are missing from his playing days. Great video, Tony, and looking forward to more!
John Smith from England and played in New England go figure. Nice cards and thanks for sharing your thought on the 81 set. Airbrushing, what exacting do you airbrush a card?
One of my favorite football sets. Your cards seem to be in really great shape.
Thanks! they haven't left the pages in quite a while and besides marking up the checklists they are nice!

I think I was referring to taking the logos off the helmets - wished they had the logos
