I don't think the prototype wants to kill us. In reality, Poppy only mentioned that prototype has a plan. The main point is that we think prototype is devil because of poppy. There's no VHS tape mentioned that the prototype is bad. VHS mentioned that prototype has a high level of intelligence and attacks the worker because they trapped prototype.
Catnap was loyal to a fault (considering the fact both he and the prototype were pretty close when Catnap was just Theo a human kid) to the point he was willing to give up his own life and freedom just to help his god.
I like how you can see the difference between mobs versus cg5s versions of this song. This one is meant to focus more on the aftermath of the hour of joy when the toys really regret their sins and what they did,but in mobs its meant to be set either during or before the hour of joy when they are so blinded by rage and freedom they dont realize the aftermath until its really over and what they did.
I think that Mob's version shows what happened during and not so long after the hour of joy, while this version shows what's happening in the present (except the scene from 2:28 to 2:40, which is during the hour of joy)
I don’t think anyone has noticed or said this yet, but at the time frame from 1:17 to 1:22, it shows that Craftycorns smile is widening from its original smile when all of her friends are showing up. I don’t think this happens to the other Smiling Critters, but it was just a small detail I noticed while watching the video.

"New blooms when playtime sprouts" is honestly my favorite line in this whole song, as it references back to the first song CG made for chapter 1, "Poison Blooms"
How is no one talking about this? 1:34 is the best part, sound-wise & visually, in my opinion. The close-up of Catnap walking creates a sense of realism, and then he looks at the camera, breaking the fourth wall. The camera angle then turns to match his line of sight, while the entire time, hearing his deep breaths in the background creates such a surreal feeling.
The fact this song can loop perfectly just feels like it’s a reminder of what they did, and how it will never go away, and haunt them forever. Beautiful work Charlie another masterpiece!

I loved the "we want freedom" line so much. This song really captures the suffering and seeking freedom of children very well. Kinda like Fnaf lore but in the end the souls have rested. But these monsters cant rest, they stuck in the factory and in the toy bodies. This song is amazing

Yea that could be true, and one thing that the ending reminded me of is the mercy meme, and how the hand was outstretched. It amazes me how this song works to well in BOTH music videos, in this one, it’s them reflecting back on the hour of joy while also still craving that freedom the prototype promised me those years ago while the other music video the before and after of the garden of joy are them asking for the freedom to finally be able to sleep ever since they were killed, experimented on, and turned into toys, I never heard a song that can fit so well and have 2 different meanings while nothing about the actual song changed. It’s a beautiful powerful sadness. Definitely a 10/10 song if you understand the games lore.

I love how this song represents the children that suffered from the very beginning and how badly they want to be free. Most of the songs I know from Poppy playtime are just about the Monster or the Protagonist but this hits different❤

I know the fraud of a god refers to the prototype, but what’s the artificial facade? Their toy bodies? I guess that would make sense if the prototype is Elliot Ludwig. But the next line is “all due to the path that would trod”, which would imply that it’s a result of the hour of joy? So what’s the facade? The promise of freedom? Or the “outside world” painted in playcare?
@@poopa_stinkaIk this is late but here’s how I interpret that verse: “Artificial facade” can mean two things: Their toy bodies or the Playcare itself since the children were being tested on rather than being raised in a fun orphanage. “Fraud of a god” can either mean the prototype or Elliot Ludwig (or both if you believe they are the same person) Elliot can be seen as a fraud because of how he allowed such horrible things to happen to the children under his “care”. As for the prototype, we all know CatNap “worshipped” him so this line may be more literal in this case. The “fraud” part comes when the prototype ends up killing CatNap instead of freeing him like he promised. (However, some believe the prototype killing CatNap freed Theo’s soul, and/or CatNap surrendered himself. If you’re one of those people, discard that last part.) Finally “all due to the path that we trod” most likely refers to the Hour of Joy or the children being brought to the Playcare in the first place. The latter, proving that what they are doing is justified and they are getting revenge and the former suggesting guilt for all of the blood that was shed.
I love the choice of making the song mirror the rhythm of the OST(01) - It's Playtime, a few examples are: I noticed at 0:46 to 0:58 it does this perfectly, also at 1:46 to 1:55, if you listen really close, you can hear those exact notes that mimic the OST playing in the background and a final, probably obvious, example is towards the end of the song while children sing (the "lalaalalaala" part) Imo it was a clever touch and I'm slowly growing an obsession for the song since I had the games opening track on loop the first time I heard it. Lots of love and admiration to everyone who worked on this and I can't forget those worked on the game itself 💗

"It's better than living in a cage." That is a great reference, because in the game, DogDay says that the toys follow Catnap to avoid being tortured like he was. I can't stop listening to this.
This song really captures the kind of pain the toys really went through before they finally snapped and started the rebellion, they were just children and their innocence was stolen from them and they were turned into monsters against their will, it really makes the story much more heartbreaking than it already seems and really shows how much they truly suffered before and after the Hour Of Joy.
The one on this channel is more focused on in game events, but the other one is more focused on lore. They are both cool, and add great perspectives. This one almost seems more from the perspective of Catnap himself, while the other is more focused on the toys in general,
I think we can consider this song canon, can we? Man, this song is so wonderful, I cried a little because it moves me, this song shows Hour of Joy from the point of view of the experiments, the vast majority of which were children, I believe most of them didn't even know what they were doing, they only did what the Prototype told them to do, it's very sad if you think about it. Ok, I love the detail that catnap and dogdays plushies have their eyes covered by buttons still. It shows perspectives. Catnap sees dogday as “blind” to god and a heretic so his eyes are covered. But in honesty…the only blind one was catnap all along.

It just lets you see how much the children liked each other and the others were told that the kid was “sick”. But they got experimented on and never saw their friends again. How is no one talking about this? 1:34 is the best part, sound-wise & visually, in my opinion. The close-up of Catnap walking creates a sense of realism, and then he looks at the camera, breaking the fourth wall. The camera angle then turns to match his line of sight, while the entire time, hearing his deep breaths in the background creates such a surreal feeling.

I loved the "we want freedom" line so much. This song really captures the suffering and seeking freedom of children very well. Kinda like Fnaf lore but in the end the souls have rested. But these monsters cant rest, they stuck in the factory and in the toy bodies. This song is amazing

I know the fraud of a god refers to the prototype, but what’s the artificial facade? Their toy bodies? I guess that would make sense if the prototype is Elliot Ludwig. But the next line is “all due to the path that would trod”, which would imply that it’s a result of the hour of joy? So what’s the facade? The promise of freedom? Or the “outside world” painted in playcare?

“Artificial facade” can mean two things: Their toy bodies or the Playcare itself since the children were being tested on rather than being raised in a fun orphanage.
“Fraud of a god” can either mean the prototype or Elliot Ludwig (or both if you believe they are the same person) Elliot can be seen as a fraud because of how he allowed such horrible things to happen to the children under his “care”. As for the prototype, we all know CatNap “worshipped” him so this line may be more literal in this case. The “fraud” part comes when the prototype ends up killing CatNap instead of freeing him like he promised. (However, some believe the prototype killing CatNap freed Theo’s soul, and/or CatNap surrendered himself. If you’re one of those people, discard that last part.)
Finally “all due to the path that we trod” most likely refers to the Hour of Joy or the children being brought to the Playcare in the first place. The latter, proving that what they are doing is justified and they are getting revenge and the former suggesting guilt for all of the blood that was shed.

I love the choice of making the song mirror the rhythm of the OST(01) - It's Playtime, a few examples are: I noticed at 0:46 to 0:58 it does this perfectly, also at 1:46 to 1:55, if you listen really close, you can hear those exact notes that mimic the OST playing in the background and a final, probably obvious, example is towards the end of the song while children sing (the "lalaalalaala" part) Imo it was a clever touch and I'm slowly growing an obsession for the song since I had the games opening track on loop the first time I heard it. Lots of love and admiration to everyone who worked on this and I can't forget those worked on the game itself 💗

This song really captures the kind of pain the toys really went through before they finally snapped and started the rebellion, they were just children and their innocence was stolen from them and they were turned into monsters against their will, it really makes the story much more heartbreaking than it already seems and really shows how much they truly suffered before and after the Hour Of Joy.
