All beautiful. All the same stone, yet different shapes. But that endless beauty coming deep from within each and every one.

This soundtrack makes me feel so calm and relaxed, the ocean can be such a beautiful place but the people don't seem to appreciate it that much anymore.
This is truly art and a masterpiece, whenever I hear this it takes me away to a place other than here. A place free of debt, worry, and sadness. It takes me to a place that's welcoming. A place where I can rest, even if it's just for a little bit.
I'm still in disbelief how Thomas Newman did not win the Oscar that year. This has to be one of the greatest scores ever composed. How do you not give it to the composer who was able to so masterfully capture the voice of the frickin' ocean is beyond me.
I mean, there is only eight notes in an octave, but he is able to express with them so much: hopefulness, sadness, desperation, tenderness, grief... even happiness. That's not just a music. That's magic.
This is the sound of nature, gentle but indifferent, moving on and adapting no matter what circumstances arise. Flowing, growing, but always reflecting on where it came from. Even the tallest trees were once seeds in the dirt, the most complex creatures in the world were once microscopic germs floating in an empty abyss. It is change, patience, and stoicism, being at peace with whatever the universe gives you.
To me this song just make my mind and body slow right down and I just wanna keep swimming in the deep ocean as far as I can to get away form all the troubles and stress in life
yup so I played this when my dog was dying of old age. he was nine years old, a great Dane/mastiff mix who had been there for me over half of my life. he was really going through it and had collapsed on our lawn in winter, and it was 10 pm so in the cold night I put a blanket over him and hung out with this music playing for about two hours. next morning he died in my arms but I'm so glad I could be there for him and we listened to the calm rhythm of this beautiful music together before he passed.
Thomas Newman captured peace. This is what you would hear if you swam through a deep part of the ocean. It is not just music, it is a way of life. This is the ocean telling you, "Calm down. Relax. Just pause for a moment and don't think." Whales hear this when they live their lives, and now we can hear it in ours.
This song for me means vulnerability, fragility, peace, and mother's love. When we come to this world with eyes closed. We dont know yet what is going on but we feel protected by love.
You and me both. I just feel so out of place with where the world has gone with technology and progress. Anyone born before 2000 had a simple life before phones just messed everything up 😥 I hope one day I or many others can make it a priority to bring back the beauty of feeling human again....
What I love about Thomas Newman is that I can listen to this and I will hear other parts of Finding Nemo, obviously, but there are also shades of Road to Perdition, Cinderella Man, American Beauty, Skyfall, etc. And in each film, his placement of notes used in other films still fits and applies to the film in which they find themselves. He will get his due, though it will be vastly overdue.
This music gave me the strength to go scuba diving. I was always afraid to swim away from the coast. But snorkelling and later scuba diving helped me to see how important and fragile underwater life is. There was even a shark around during my first scuba diving.. but I just felt fascination.
I put this music on when I sleep. It's so calm and sad and dreamy. I get lost. And feel so far away. And Completely disconnected with the real world. I feel myself in the ocean with the creatures, the whales, the jelly fishes, the sea turtles, the colourful corals ❤️so wonderful ❤️
tell me about it, whenever i listen to shawshank redemption "compass and guns" score it makes me feel like going far away from this world and starting a new life
This uplifting music always played in Finding Nemo when they were reaching a vast, open part of the sea or were dreading hope in a seemingly hopeless situation. The music for Nemo is so perfectly composed, it fits every mood
Back in my childhood days when i cannot swim and was terrified of the ocean but at the sametime i love the ocean so much, reminds me of my dad and me going fishing together in early morning on our small boat, the ocean is part of our lives ❤️❤️🛥️
I can't even explain what kind of feeling it gives me. That's just awesome. Makes you wanna dip in an unknown ocean. 😻 I feel the same for almost all of Thomas Newman's pieces. Love him❤
This song reminds me of when I first went to SeaWorld San Diego with my dad and when I first saw the Orcas there. Also reminds me of the kelp forest exhibit at The Aquarium Of The Pacific.
Newman has an ability I don't think I've heard in any other composer's work - the power to put you in a state of ease and melancholy awareness at the same time. Take this piece, in the context of the film it's in, and...in general. It's simple, soothing, an ethereal rhythm gently rolling between repeated notes, and through its simplicity, it locks you in a trance. You feel safe, at peace with yourself and the world around you - but then the strings soar, and the woodwind sings, just for the briefest of moments, and it hits you. This song speaks of both the rhythm of nature and the indescribable beauty of the natural world that surrounds us, also within Finding Nemo itself, but paired with something like this, there's another feeling that awakens. It's a realisation. An understanding, that awareness, that accompanies every note, every crescendo of the strings, every call of that lonesome woodwind. This is all we have. This tiny little blue dot in an ever-expanding universe, our birthplace, our cradle, our home. It is inimitable in its form, unlimited in its majesty, and irreplaceable. The realisation that our world is so fragile pervades every moment of this video and this piece, and it's...sobering. There is only one planet. Only one ocean. Only one place for all of Earth's underwater wonders to thrive, and it is the lifeblood of our world. It falls upon us to work towards its preservation, so that future generations can see the unmatched beauty of coral reefs, or pods of whales in harmonious concert, or all the myriad lifeforms we have yet to even discover - and so that such sensations, such discoveries, sounds like this, are not made into the subject of what-could-have-beens and mournful remembrance.

it's hard to explain. It's like everyone wears some masks and tries to shape oneself's identity to adapt to society. I'm not talking about hypocrisy; I'm just talking about trying to fit in, to search and create one's identity just to feel safer, I think everybody does that. But with this music I feel completely and deeply exposed, even though I'm normally a sensitive person, it kinda gets me to a higher level of sensitiveness. I'm not sure I made myself clear ahaha, hope you can understand what I mean

I really want 3 minute pieces elaborating on this track and ua-cam.com/video/2BkLc5POMxg/v-deo.html
They end and I'm like, then what?! lol
JoeDotPHP Awwww! Wall-E! That’s my favorite!😍
Exactly finding Nemo's score is a masterpiece
3 professions that I admire the most, a doctor, researcher, and music composer
I mean, there is only eight notes in an octave, but he is able to express with them so much: hopefulness, sadness, desperation, tenderness, grief... even happiness. That's not just a music. That's magic.
Not just magic, but art as well my friend.
I listened to this twice in a row. Laid down on my couch, closed my eyes and prayed. It was something! Thanks for it.
This music reminds me of the beauty of our planet which was created by our lovely God.
And I am really greatful for that🥰
To me this song just make my mind and body slow right down and I just wanna keep swimming in the deep ocean as far as I can to get away form all the troubles and stress in life
Same.
O
yup so I played this when my dog was dying of old age. he was nine years old, a great Dane/mastiff mix who had been there for me over half of my life. he was really going through it and had collapsed on our lawn in winter, and it was 10 pm so in the cold night I put a blanket over him and hung out with this music playing for about two hours. next morning he died in my arms but I'm so glad I could be there for him and we listened to the calm rhythm of this beautiful music together before he passed.
He's brilliant
This song for me means vulnerability, fragility, peace, and mother's love. When we come to this world with eyes closed. We dont know yet what is going on but we feel protected by love.
You know, that's exactly what it is about. Shows how genius the composer is.
Uh I wish I could be a child again and watch finding Nemo again and again I miss the good old days...
Same
Same 😢
You still can watch it again and again... time permitting
Fax Thomas Newman's a genius
Back in my childhood days when i cannot swim and was terrified of the ocean but at the sametime i love the ocean so much, reminds me of my dad and me going fishing together in early morning on our small boat, the ocean is part of our lives ❤️❤️🛥️
I can't even explain what kind of feeling it gives me. That's just awesome. Makes you wanna dip in an unknown ocean. 😻 I feel the same for almost all of Thomas Newman's pieces. Love him❤
yeah i love shawshank redemption too, compass and guns score was spot on
I've always wished this track was longer. This is perfect 💙
This track is one hour long, is is long enough for you or not?
The tides going back and forth matches exactly with this tune, Thomas Newman is a genius
So nostalgic for me. I watched this movie all the time as a kid. Thank you, Pixar, for giving me great movies to grow up on.
The day of my funeral I want this song to be played.
Merlin: AAaaaaaaaaaa
Dory: come you gotta try this
Merlin: will you just stop it
Dory: why what’s wrong??
Merlin: were in a whale don’t you get it
Dory: a whale??
Merlin: a whale because you had to ask for help and now we’re stuck here!!!
Dory: you know I speak whale
Merlin: No your insane you can’t speak whale I have to get out I have to find my son I have to tell him how old sea turtles are!!!
*crys in agony*
WOOHOOHOHOOHOHOO!!! Hey, you okay? There there...it’s alright...it’ll be okay.
It's Marlin, not Merlin
And come to find out Dory actually speaks whale in Finding Dory lol.
No…I promised I wouldn’t let anything happen to him…
I listen and I get goosebumps, this is a masterpiece of respect, Mr. Newman.
This is Amazing! I've wanted this for years! I can't tell you how many times I've put this track, from the soundtrack, on repeat, and played it forever! Thanks for making my day! :)
I did it for people like you. Glad you enjoy
This is definitely from finding Nemo where Merlin (Nemos father) and Dory were stuck in the wales mouth.
definitely)
This gives me a feeling where you just dive into the ocean while listening to this... soothing
Haiku was always my favorite. There is something in it that gives you this sense of "go out there, it's all waiting for you to just grasp it"
Hearing this calms me it's like nature is speaking to us in like a calming pleasuring manner it makes me remember the days when i was with my grandmother just to hear this is to delighting i can't explain how peaceful this is i can listen to the ocean for a long time while being calmed it takes my anxiety away and my depression i feel so happy right now 😊🐢❤🐚🦀🐟🐬🐋🌐🌎🌏🌍❤
It's only me who gets extremely vulnerable while listening to this?
vulnerable ? what do you means by that?
it's hard to explain.
Tony Marescalco yeah I see :) because I have the same feelings, when I heard this song, I almost feels like I am in a dream x3 and nobody bothering me around :)
Weak
Tony Marescalco amazing, what is going on with our brains when we listen to good music.
Peaceful,lovely,realistic
Do you agree?
Why is it that every single one of his scores seems to capture the essence of the ocean? His music sounds like the sea and it's beautiful.
July 2020 - coronavirus Covid19 is wrecking havoc on the world but an hour away from reality with this masterful piece of music makes everything seems oh so fine.
films like shawshank redemption and forrest gump motivates me about life though...btw when im listening to this score i imagine myself sitting on top of the mountains in the arizona desert or rocky mountains
Helps me fall asleep
Olivia's Nail Tutorials me too !
This is perfect for yoga and/or meditation.
Hearing the whales made me cry. They're such beautiful creatures, and their songs are amazing. ty ty
This is all that was on my mind this morning. The peacefulness and uplifting sound of this tune.
yeah when i listen to this i imagine myself walking on the hills on a rainy day in the middle of the canadian rockies or sitting on top of the moab, utah desert watching the view with the sunset facing me
Thank you so much for this beautifully designed melody! It helps calm me and my dogs ❤🐶

Makes me miss Andy and Red..."Get busy livin', or get busy swimmin'..."
cjmonlezun why them? It's from another film.
“It truly was a Shawshank redemption.”
-Tom Hanks
one of the most beautiful things a human can do in life, is to listen to this music while meditating on the shore of the sea...
Planning a trip to the Great Barrier Reef to swim before it’s gone. I want to listen to this whilst doing it. Can’t wait
I’m so nostalgic because this is the finding Nemo song 🥺🥺
Me too
oh is it?
The music, the whale sounds, imagining the ocean in my head, it all takes me away from as if I were the fish and not the human anymore
Simple and soothing in a world gone to busy
This takes me to all sorts of places, both inside and outer worlds.. thank you Thomas Newman and this channel for making an extended track available for us to enjoy. I LOVE THIS x
Newman is the best
Simon Daum - Music yeah, i like his style too. So calm, gently, and touching.
Simon Daum - Music Don't leave out John Barry

The feeling I get when hearing this is so...... woah.... life
Good lord this is the most peaceful hour and a half I’ve ever spent in my life

Thomas Newman will forever be one of the great film composers in my opinion.
So true the man's a genius
Literally one of my idols, would love to be a film composer one day 😊
Charlie Pike hey, what is up? How does your film composing goal do?
Would love to learn how to compose beautiful music like this, i do a bit on my computer, but not to this level, simply amazing :)
Charlie Pike nice, but 'would love' won't take you anywhere. Are you going to do that?
I am going to learn, brought an apple mac to do composing on 😊
Go for it!
Who ever downed this video has no damn heart.
Abdullah Alqaq exactly
Abdullah Alqaq i bet it was darla.

The ocean.. Is so beautiful
So deep..
So mysterious..
It gives a fright.
Yet do you still wonder what lies beneath the ocean surface? 💙
The sounds of the depth howling in the distance
Telling you how far does the seas stretch?
Swirling creatures around..
Different colors and shapes of kind..
In the back of your mind, you know there lurks creatures need not to be found...
What hides behind the howling calls of the deep?
It pulls me near..
Safe..
Deep..
Muffling the noises of this terrible world...
The waves just gives you the sense of fear.. Yet calmness..
Like being in your mother's womb..
It's quiet..
In the ocean.
I'd like to drift down..
Deeper,
Into the depths of emptiness..
Teriffying.... But i'm safe..
The comfort of cold brushing your skin as you sink..
Deeper.
What a mysteries do the seas give me? 💙
the fact that we have creatures on this planet who made this beauty possible is just incredible.
So calming, inspiring, true to the ocean
Ocean man, take me by the hand, lead me to the land that you understand
Ocean man, the voyage to the corner of the globe is a real trip
Ocean man, the crust of a tan man imbibed by the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land
Ocean man, can you see through the wonder of amazement at the oberman
Ocean man, the crust is elusive when it casts forth to the childlike man
Ocean man, the sequence of a life form braised in the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land
Ocean man, ocean man
Ocean man

Lmao i fell asleep after 2-3 minutes yesterday night, thank you thomas for this
Heaven for drawing/painting times, thanks!
I think the beautiful thing about the ocean is that there is so much still undiscovered. Which makes it the most natural thing on this planet. So much mystery of covered beauty and horror yet to need someone to adventure into with curiosity and open wonder.
Esta musica me encanta, me siento llena, no se, una tranquilidad muy linda
Finding Nemo is one of my favourite movies ever ❤️
