4:04 oh that breakfast! Yummy! I am joining you guys. I see it's now cold there. 12:14 beautiful place/neighborhood, 12:48 enjoy your drinks and stay there. It was also raining there. Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure guys. Good evening ❤16:53
Hi Leilani. I'd forgotten about that breakfast. I'm having similar at home today. The little fishing village was good to explore. I do like the old smugglers pubs with a big fire and traditional ales. Hope you're well and have a great weekend.
Hello! The bay view was great, and the breakfast was also great. Despite the challenge of the muddy path, I can tell that you both had a wonderful time there ✨
Lol..saw a squirrel but with no hat. At least Lisa got to use another swing and falling on her backside would have been an epic moment. Your comment about arriving up at Robin Hood bay on the coast to coast brought back memories of when I worked up at Whitby back in the 90s and did the Gallon Run(walk) 8 pubs along the coast finishing in Robin Hood bay and having to climb up from the beach/cliff face to the the last pub after 7 beers!!! Overall there are some nice parts on this walk but I don't think I'd be doing it anytime soon. Glad you took us along with you so we could see it.
Hi Iain. I knew it wouldn't be epic views everyday and that there would be villages, towns and road walking but it was a great way to get to know a bit about the island. It's only an hour ISH on the train and a short ferry ride so it was quite a convenient for us and long overdue. The islanders get a gig thumbs up from us. I do wish I'd filmed Lisa's fall but I wasn't looking. I could have snapped her in the mud but It felt wrong at the time, next time I will. She's given me he ok. Wow you worked at Whitby, such a lovely old town and robin hoods bay as well. The coast to coast is a fabulous and diverse walk. Hope all's well across the pond. Have a good weekend.
Hi Guys, wow that looked a tough old day on the trail. Total bogsville. Comes looked a half decent little town. I bet the night in the pub was bliss. I know when we stayed in a b&b on the Cumbria Way in Keswick it was nice just to be able to proper chill, have a nice meal, and have wonderful proper freshen up. All the best guys, on to the last days. 😀🏕️🥾
I was very pleased to be staying in the pub after my fall, a dry place to dry out my pants 😅. Cowes is lovely, I like the floating bridge, as they call it. I'm glad Niall had a first aid kit to take of me, stupid barbed wire 😢. Have a good day
Cheers Dave. Such a boggy walk. Yes Cowes is cool, nice to spend the night in a room, like you say, freshen up, we went home next day clean. Not a rugged and wild hike but a good way to get to know the island.
Well done both👏👏 That was a great watch. Help me out and tell me how you spell your name? Naill? I'm not sure. You had great weather until the end on this one. Crazy to see the fench having to move back because of erosion. (Map Girl) Lisa did excellent with the huge bag💪💪 Well done on the first aid kit. Good call to stop at the hotel at the end. £75 and nice and dry. It was like it was meant to be you put your feet up and avoid the rain. Good boots kept your feet dry. Awesome. Enjoyed this vid very much. I tried to comment on my normal one but it plays up a lot now. No idea why. You two are a great example of loving and living life🫡😃💚👋 Jamie🚶♂️⛰️🏕🏴
Hi Jamie. Thanks as always for commenting. Niall, it's Scottish pronounced Niel. A little first aid kit doesn't weigh much, sometimes comes in handy. The boots were great but they leaked a bit on the Pennine way. 17 days on that one without re dubbing. I might need a new pair. We wanted to camp every night but the forecast for the last night was real bad so the pub was good. £75 for the room was ok. I usually choke at the price of a room but between two of us this was affordable. It's raining here, hope you're having a good weekend.
@@mapgirl70 You both did so well. Wild camping is special but when it's so boggy and wet like that a pub and warm room is great. You still went out for a wet walk too😂👏👏👍 I often fall on my bum. It's pretty fat so it doesn't hurt. Looking forward to your next one👋 💚❤️
Another muddy day. Pity because everywhere is nicer when the sun is out. My mother , who has lived there for 10 years , says that previously the IOW has always enjoyed better weather than the mainland.......until this year when it has just rained and rained. Still , you two always manage to enjoy yourselves no matter what. Great dispoition .
So you're saying the iow is not usually so boggy? The bog and muddy paths slowed us down but we weren't in a rush so it was ok. The weather while we were there was pretty good. The main thing about this trip was to see a different side to the island, visit a few attractions en route and get a feeling of the place and people and I have to say the folk we met were all great and the whole vibe of the island was very positive. Did you say your mum lives in freshwater?
Yup. She lives in Freshwater town about a mile or so from the beach.First time we visited a few years ago it got to 32 degrees in September. Perfect weather for 3 weeks.@@tubbatravels

Thanks, the breakfast was great. I do love a smashed avocado 🥑 or avocado salsa. Enjoy your day 😊
@@tubbatravels happy weekend my friend ❤️💐

@@mapgirl70 Hi Lisa, Like you, I don’t get barbed wire on fences especially those so close to a public footpath. Totally unnecessary for me. 🙁
@@tubbatravels Hi Niall, I loved watching it, it’s a trail that I’ve not seen done so always great to see something new! 😀👍🏕️🥾
