- A Sony a6500 cinematic video test with Sony 18-105mm f/4 OSS in 4K. For all-round handheld video this is my favorite lens. Shot in Cine4 and 24fps.

OMG, no Teal/Orange, and actually beautiful footage!
The colors look insane!! Hard to believe this is a6500... Great work!
Hands down the best shot and graded video I've seen from the a6500, clearly you know what you're doing, it can get kinda depressing when you're looking through videos and realizing how many people just neglect to expose & compose their shots properly in cam & try to correct it by slapping on a LUT, this here is exceptional workmanship, hats off to you!!!
Thanks a lot!😁
Wow amazing. I love that you used real time footage as well as the slow motion. There’s so much slow motion used these days because it makes the shots feel more cinematic but the beauty of those animals in real time was incredible.
+1 on this.
a6500 is limited to 4k 30fps so no slow motion on 4k.
I can see this footage like a cinematic movie ❤️
This is soo beautiful! What an amazing video! I really hope you gonna make and upload more!
Incredible, absolutely cannot wait to get this camera. So inspiring man
Thanks man it's great to hear!
FANTASTIC CAMERA
Love this video!
just bought this lens and i can say i just love it because its so versatile. Its my "everyday" lens. And i dont regret the buy :) great video btw. Love your toning
the best of i see a6500 in YT
Amazing work!
Saludos.
Wooow, super toffe video!
Thanks man!
Beautiful video! Amazing handheld work . This just made me want to purchase a6500 and F4 18-105
Love it! Looks amazing, Great job
Thanks! Great to hear that :)
Outstanding job Kasper, amazing!
Thank you very much!

18-105 is my fav lens too! versatile
That’s so beautiful!!!!!
Thanks a lot! It's such a beautiful location :)
Amazing job ! Really well done Kasper !
Thanks a lot!
Amazing footage 🔥
Beautiful cinematography! The sony a6500 looks really cinematic. The versitality of sony 18-105mm f4 is pretty interesting. Great job!
Thanks man! It's the reason why the 18-105 is my favorite lens for run and gunning. :)
@@KaspervanDijk GREAT VIDEO! I have the sony a6400 with the same lens and I have never achieved your quality. Keep up the good work!
Beautiful capture and colors 😍
Thanks man!
Cinematic 😍
You captured this place nicely...
i loved your colors and edit! how did you manage so natural yet so top notch color grade?
damnnnnn sharp as hell...
Thanks for this Video Kasper. I will definitely get this lens, you convinced me.
I'm glad I was able to help you out to make a decision. Have fun with it!
great cinematic video
Great shoots. What is your picture profile?
he said it was cine 4
amazing work😇
Loved the editing of the Video ! I am considering to buy this lens. Did you use a ND Filter as well because it looks so well balanced in case of light.
Thanks
Kasper this is epic!
Thanks man!
Wow!
Woo. I like Color grading and editing. Big thumbs up 41
Thanks! Shooting when the light is beautiful makes the color grading process much more fun.
One year later, and this still looks INCREDIBLE! It genuinely looks like a cinema camera. If you don’t mind me asking, what were your picture profile settings?
Thank you very much! I used cine4 with -7 in detail
@@KaspervanDijk PP7?
@@KaspervanDijk awesome PP7? Thanks!
Outstanding footage! Thumbs up from Kingsport, Tennessee!
Thanks!
@@KaspervanDijk You are welcome.
Subscribed.! Please, hear your audience hahahahhaa we want your camera settings and color grading tutorial. You made the a6500 look like a cinema camera
PLEASE DO IT
Very nice!
I like the colors you extract from this camera what is your settings of your cine4 profile?
Really fantastic footage
Thanks a lot
Amazing job 😘👌👌
Lovely footage.
thanks a lot!
Great video! Just a question, did you shoot the entire video handheld?
beautiful vide :)
Hey, I loved it! Did you use a gimbal when you shooting this video? If yes, which model did you use?
Hermoso ❤
Gracias amor! ❤️
nice editing !
Love this!!!
What did you use to color grade?!
Amazing work man! What picture profile did you use?
OMG siriously 😱😱😱😱
This is amazing. You just sold me on this camera. I’m so excited. Any chance you could share what FPS you shot some of those shots in. They don’t seem slow mo but they have this ethereal slower feel to them. Also what picture profile are you shooting in?
thanks! I filmed everything at 24 frames per second in cine4 and some shots were made a bit slower at 80% with optical flow in premiere Pro

Beautiful video! I'm still looking for a versatile lens. I do only have a 30mm Prime. Your video shows me a good variety of wide to close shots. And you did everything handheld?
Thanks! It's the lens I use most of the time because of the versatility. Everything except the shot of my girlfriend and the gliding shot of the highlanders were shot handheld with a bit of post stabilisation.
Very nice video and sweet video it's nice! Your forest looks like a Disney forest lol!
Thanks! Haha yeah, I'm so lucky to have this forest close by!
Kasper van Dijk yeah very lucky, could we support each other on UA-cam ?
very pretty! did you use any nd filter? and gimbal?
Thanks for your vidéo, welcome from France 👋 it's filming in manual focus ?
Beautiful videos, one question, what is your configuration in the cinema 4 profile?
1:26 Incredible shot. How did you do it? Did you pre-focus on the deer before the shot? Really nerding out on this XD
Thanks! Yes, I pre-focused on the deer which was a bit of a risk since I was scared he would run away 😅
Why does he has only 775 followers. He deserves a milion just with this video
New sub✨ Beautiful shots! All these were shot handheld?
Thanks man! Everything was handheld except the shot of my girlfriend walking and the shot of the highlanders that looks like a slider shot. Those two are shot with a gimbal.
What a steady hand mate, you could be surgeon.
Haha thanks!
Beautiful 🤩 place
Dankje! Ik heb alleen detail veranderd naar -6
Welke gimbal gebruik je? Mooie beelden!
Hele fijne video lens inderdaad.
Can you please make more videos like this !!!
Great video man! How did you get rid of most of the rolling shutter from fast panning clips? I have a6300 and panning in 4k is a pain go watch :/
I think that because of the stabilization of the camera and lens it is less visible, it also helps to film with a slightly wider lens
Did you use a LUT on this or really color graded really nice? by the the this is the best a6500 clip i've ever seen man hands down :)
Thank you! color graded🙂
Color grade god
Good job
Really you need to make color grading tutorial ...xlent 🔥
Thank you! I will look into that ;)
yes i second that comment

@@KaspervanDijk Would this work on a Sony A7 MARK 1?
Handheld? Great job !!
Great video! Are you using any gimbal on this shoot?
Thanks! It's all handheld, except for the shot at 0:40
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Erg vet!
I have same camera and lens but doesn’t look nearly as good. What do you edit with? Anything special you do?
How did u get that sharp, cant get it with mine
bro I NEED a tutorial on how to achieve this beautiful colors
how to setup camera
Erg mooi!
I’m trying to just carry one lens.. u think this is worth it … ?
what is your export settings bit rate for youtube ?
¡Gracias!
Thanks I didn't use any filter
Great Epic Shots 🔥✊🏻 new sub here!!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Where did u got so many animals? :D
How is the image stabilization with 6500 in body one and lens'es oss?
what sutterspeed..? 24fps,It looks very soft.. 1/50? or Auto?
You live in narnia?
Hi! I am looking for a backup camera for my Sony A7III on a gimbal to shoot a wedding ceremony. Would you recommend this camera and lens to put on a tripod to film from a distance?
if you use a tripod I would recommend the zv-e10 because it is cheaper and has better color
hy im from indonesia ,
please share u picture profile and tutorial grading this video .
its very very very the best video for a6500 + lens 18-105 .
im waiting
Is dit bij de Oosterplas opgenomen?!?!
Hello, Nice Movie ❤ Shutter 1/50 ND Filter ?
I have a Sony a6600. Do you know what in camera settings I can use to achieve a similar look? Thanks a lot!
I used Cine4 with -7 in detail
mooi!
Dankjewel! 😁
Was this handheld?
After 2 years this still look incredible. Did you use autofocus or manual?
thanks a lot! I mainly used manual focus because this lens can hunt sometimes with autofocus
@@KaspervanDijk I have Sony FX30 and the autofocus is excellent, but I am still struggling with colors. Your colors look amazing. I will try to get close to you, but it is a big challenge
@@stevengergi6781 a quick tip when color grading cine4 is that the highlights go up to 109% so when you pull down the highlights in post you can retain some information
can you tel us more about the colour grade? was it done in davinci resolve?
Graded in Premiere Pro. Mainly it's a S curve with the highlights brought down and a creative lut (KDX) at 30%
@@KaspervanDijk oh thank you so much. It looks amazing. Thanks for sharing 😊
