@@just4craftsngiggles454 Wishing you the best of luck and remember that even if an idea doesn't turn out as planned the first time that you can take it and use it as a learning experience for the next time you try that same idea. I don't know what type of resin you're using but allow me to impart some knowledge that I learned the hard way about UV Resin. Unclear molds/containers and UV Resin do not work very well together as the resin tends to warp badly and air bubbles form resulting in generally failed projects. For those types of molds you'll want to use a two part Epoxy Resin. Also remember to take proper safety precautions such as working in a well ventilated space, wear gloves (not ones you wish to use for other purposes) to protect your hands from the resin and liquid dye if you're using it, and wearing a mask to make sure you don't breathe in the toxic fumes. Not related to general resin crafting safety but also remember to get up and stretch every now and then and stay hydrated. Good luck with your path new Resin Crafter!💙 Edited to add another useful money saving tip. Loose eyeshadow powder can be used instead of expensive powder pigments such as Pearlx Powder. You can also use colored Mica powder like what's used in soap making too! Also if you're using two part Epoxy Resin you can use those cute silicone candy molds like you see in Walmart. Extra edit because it slipped my mind until I had a mishap last night: If the mold you are using is matte, the pieces that come out will also come out matte save for the back which will stay shiny because it didn't come into contact with the mold. If the mold you're using is shiny, then your piece will come out shiny too. If you use a matte mold but want a shiny piece, use some UV Resin and apply it to the part(s) you want to make shiny and then use a UV light to cure it. 7 minutes early!!!! Watching this in my "This is my happy face" hoodie. I've been a grain for a year now and you guys are my idols. Stay safe and nerdesisters forever
In the beginning of April I started to learn about the rubik cube out of boredom. It took me almost a month and now I can solve it quite well. Two days ago I made my best time. 1 MIN AND 37 seconds. I KNOW IT IS STILL BAD, but I am just proud of myself. 😀😀 So for everyone : TRY NEW THINGS BECAUSE IT CAN TURN OUT TO BE SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY ENJOY EVEN IF AT FIRST OR AFTER A BIT OF TIME YOU DON'T FELL IT KEEP GOING AND TRYING. LOVE U ALL🥰🥰
Duuuuuuuuuude I haven't seen you in years! I had no clue you still uploaded! And you have a sister! This is so cool! I just started my UA-cam channel a while ago so I guess I can call you a colleague!
CMY tells you what colors you should be using. Cyan Magenta Yellow. Like color printer cartridges. As someone who studied 2 years of color theory hearing "find out which color we should use" made me HAVE to say something before watching more since you already knew xD
The K in CMYK comes from the Key plate used in the printing process. Also called key color. For instance if you print in duplex, so only using two colors, the darker one of the two will be the key color. When mixing Cyan, Magenta and Yellow you'll also get black, but that black isn't dark enough so the black from the key plate darkens that. and the key color is also responsible for adding detail to the image. :)
I wonder what would happen if you did a REALLY thin layer of coloured resin on each side (you would have to let it cure one at a time, though) and then fill the cube with clear resin and after it cures, do the top thin layer with colour. That way nothing would peel and you could control bubbles better, I guess...
I actually made one of these by using nothing uV resin…. It’s a small one. 1 inch squares… I laid the cube mold down and spread the uv resin on the inside, cured it, turned it, spread the next color, cured it, turned it and continued until all sides were covered In The colored resin… once I had all of them Done except for the top layer, I filled the cube with the clear uv resin, cured it and then put the last colored layer on the top and cured it… the hubby now uses it as a key chain… he loved it so much, he stole it from me, screwed an eye screw into it and attached it to a key ring… I was really amazed at how well it turned out…
I have a suggestion for when y'all cut something on a cutting mat. After you lay out the item you're gonna cut, right before you start the cutting process, just take a deep breath, and, as you draw your knife along, breathe out slowwwly. Just saw how you figured out the *CELLO" situation. Guess I should have watched the whole video before commenting on that, before. Love y'all's channel. Keep 'em coming out for us, please. 😉❣😻
I actually really love the look of Jackie’s. I think the more uneven edges inside the cube give it a more artistic look, and I think the colours show up more separately and stand out against each other better than in the CMY cube
@@phophophylite hahaha un vidéo en Québécois complet serait tellement drole avec aucune censure car les sacre font partie du vocabulaire Québécois voyons 🤣
😂 26 seconds in and Sika's already having a existential crisis. This will be interesting. 🙃 I'm watching you cut the acetate and marvelling that you don't have a paper trimmer! Maped make good A4 trimmers. 😉 You're SO close to perfecting this - don't stop now! I'm excited to see how your version develops. 😊.... Ooh, what about playing with different shapes as well as colours? 🤔 💡
The "Cello" is Cellophane, in Mexico, we call it "papel celofán". Acetate, by the other way, is the thing that was used to make the slides on ancient (?) projectors. Is thin and a little (x1000) bit more sturdy but is still flimsy
Also cellophane is made from cellulose which can dissolve in water and doesn't like heat (like resin generates) Acetate is used for the colours on stage lights because it is more heat resistant
You can always buy a pressure pot and hook it up to an air compressor for bubble free resin. Easier to use than a vacuum in my opinion. My mom gets flawless resin pieces when she lets hers cure in a pressure pot for 12 hours.
I like the one's you made and sika did good for her first try it made me wanna try making one time for my first try at using resin🤗 guess it's time to get me some resin and molds now😋😋
Wow!!!! That is a perfect activity for an art teacher to teach theory of color. In the one that colors touch each other, there are some tertiary colors forming. It is awesome!!!!! BTW, yes, cello for cellophane 😂.
Making a CMY Cube. Jackie: "Should we use pink or red?" Me, an optician and artist: "How is red even an option" Edit: Btw, why didn't you just make a clear cube and then stick on the pieces of cellophane after it cured with just a thin layer of resin? Much easier to position them right.

Stay Safe Everyone! ❤🌹
Awesome job, ladies! Imagine making dice like this!!!! How fun!
Lol @ Sika being so dramatic “I’m never doing this again” 🤣😂 I feel ya girl!
Also, totally disappointed that they used stickers! $30 for that?! I love your resin and cellophane one!
are they dating
@@twily313 NO THEY ARE SIBLINGS
Please don't forget to add auto-generated captions. They are super helpful. As always, I enjoy watching the two of you together 💜
Me see that Nerde posted clicks as fast the Flash.
oh whoaaa! I did not expect your cube to look that similar to the actual one! amazing!
7 minutes early!!!! Watching this in my "This is my happy face" hoodie. I've been a grain for a year now and you guys are my idols. Stay safe and nerdesisters forever
I think I’m totally mesmerized by all the colors on the cubes that they made out of epoxy resins into a mold looks really cool 😺😸😺😸😺😸😺
In the beginning of April I started to learn about the rubik cube out of boredom. It took me almost a month and now I can solve it quite well. Two days ago I made my best time. 1 MIN AND 37 seconds. I KNOW IT IS STILL BAD, but I am just proud of myself. 😀😀
So for everyone : TRY NEW THINGS BECAUSE IT CAN TURN OUT TO BE SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY ENJOY EVEN IF AT FIRST OR AFTER A BIT OF TIME YOU DON'T FELL IT KEEP GOING AND TRYING.
Resin looks so cool and that cube is pretty cool
Seeing SiKa in the thumbnail is like having a fun time+laughing time, seeing ur full video...
Guys!!!! Yall did such a great job!! Yours looks really close to the real one!!❤💛💚💙💜🤍 amazing!!
If Sika didn’t know that M stood for magenta, wait till she hears K stands for black in CMYK!
Wait what does K stand for? Like is there a word for black that starts with a K
@@annapruitt5546 it stands for Key, and it does mean black
The K in CMYK comes from the Key plate used in the printing process. Also called key color. For instance if you print in duplex, so only using two colors, the darker one of the two will be the key color. When mixing Cyan, Magenta and Yellow you'll also get black, but that black isn't dark enough so the black from the key plate darkens that. and the key color is also responsible for adding detail to the image. :)
@@annapruitt5546 I'd seen someone in a comment section say kohl as in kohl eyeliner but idk.
Everyone: CMY stands for cyan magenta and yellow
Sika: CMY? Cats meowing Yum 🤣
What s cool project! Results were awesome! Two of you crafting....epic 😂🤣😂❤️
All my days as a light technician has prepared me for this😤
This was so fun! The origional is beautiful but not worth 30 bucks! I love the banter between you sisters! 💖💖💖
"Some of you may be asking-"
"Why am I here? :("
And I just lost it. You both are amazing! LOL
You guys are so different, but awesome together!
Life would be so boring without Jackie & Sika, The Dangerous Dynamic Duo.
#NerdEficationSquad #ImAGrain
Yep
I liked the deep colors from the adjacent colors so much!
I actually really love the look of Jackie’s. I think the more uneven edges inside the cube give it a more artistic look, and I think the colours show up more separately and stand out against each other better than in the CMY cube
Yeah!! I'm glad you're here (both of you!!)
I love the part where Jackie says "ta yeule" lmao Quebecers awaken 👊🏻
Just hearing Jackie say "ta yeule" made my day XD
I rewind only to lisen again it was to nice...lol
@@marie-pierredescheneaux7656 That's me everytime they say something in french lol
@@phophophylite hahaha un vidéo en Québécois complet serait tellement drole avec aucune censure car les sacre font partie du vocabulaire Québécois voyons 🤣
@@marie-pierredescheneaux7656 Ce serais tellement drôle lol
😂 26 seconds in and Sika's already having a existential crisis. This will be interesting. 🙃
I'm watching you cut the acetate and marvelling that you don't have a paper trimmer! Maped make good A4 trimmers. 😉
You're SO close to perfecting this - don't stop now!
You really did a great job. It was fun to watch. Have a nice day.
This video came at the perfect time
Wow!!!! So cool!!!! You're so smart to make your own
I laughed out loud when Sika completely deflated Jackie's evil laugh - by taking away one of her sharp pointy things. Lol!! 🤣
You can always buy a pressure pot and hook it up to an air compressor for bubble free resin. Easier to use than a vacuum in my opinion. My mom gets flawless resin pieces when she lets hers cure in a pressure pot for 12 hours.
After all that careful popsicle stick manuvering I'd trust Jackie to give me surgery. XD
It's crazy how similar sika and i are like; Our personalities, the way she treats her sister i treat mine, and health problems.
I didnt even mean to click on the notification i did not even see it i was just checking something.
This is the crafting I subscribed for. Yes!
This was a really awesome project! The colors look awesome too!
I'll go tell Evan and Katelyn to do this >>.
Sika’s hair looks so cute in this 🥺
Hi, cellist here! The foil is read with a c-sound but the instrument is read with a ch-sound :)
It should be a cl sound cle-lo -fain wrap .
That was actually pretty impressive. You figured it out 🙂 and took us through the whole experience with you.
Now that Sika is here chaos is going to be occurring lol
😂
I like the one's you made and sika did good for her first try it made me wanna try making one time for my first try at using resin🤗 guess it's time to get me some resin and molds now😋😋
Just remember that the Count is not Dracula 💗 I love watching you guys Craft together!
Sika’s crafting frustration reminds me of that learning opportunity TikTok. Bet she could do a hilarious version of it
Sika making her own resin project makes me feel like a proud family member
Wow!!!! That is a perfect activity for an art teacher to teach theory of color. In the one that colors touch each other, there are some tertiary colors forming. It is awesome!!!!!
BTW, yes, cello for cellophane 😂.
Making a CMY Cube.
Jackie: "Should we use pink or red?"
Me, an optician and artist: "How is red even an option"
Edit: Btw, why didn't you just make a clear cube and then stick on the pieces of cellophane after it cured with just a thin layer of resin? Much easier to position them right.
IKR? that is what I was thinking all along.
Was thinking the same, I thought it would be easier to demold
She put resin over the cellophane and idk if it would work if you did it your way. 🤷🏼♀️
It would peel off, but if she domed it it could work
Loved it❤️ Jacky your first one looks sooooo simulair it’s so well done… i was like…. “I wond deadddd”🤤😍 (I want that)
Finally! NerdE-CRAFTER makes a crafting video for once.
