The Mets were 2 games out of a Wild Card spot. I doubt that they are sellers.
Baltimore here.....
The Mariners ought to focus on this
series with the O's. Personally I'm looking
forward to it. It's a late start EST so let's not
have xtra innings since you need so much help
that the fans is worried about potential acquisitions
a month out. Ain't nobody in Baltimore sweatin the
trade deadline cuz we got a front office who can handle it.
Vlad will be coveted by 2 teams needing a 1st baseman. With the injury to Anthony Rizzo, the NYY is looking for 1st baseman. With Jose Abreu DFA’d, the Astros identified Vlad as top trade target. Let the trade wars begin. There will be teams overpaying for scraps of talent available. It is a sellers market and the teams selling, will hold out to very end to get the most prospects for their most valuable assets. That means the low hanging fruit could be traded for now.
Isn't the Astros farm system fairly depleted? Just doesn't seem like they currently have the highly touted prospects that would be needed to pull off such a trade.
@@adamcupp9869 The Astros can provide prospects in volume not terms of quality, but they do have prospects.
Offensive needs: 1b, DH, LF, 3B should I go on??? 2b most days, CF most days, backup catcher is a must now that Garver is out. Did I cover everything?
With the way they're playing id bet ownership doesn't want to do anything. Might even be a seller come July 31

Is going to be a Mariner...hopefully!
Whatever team that has zero chance of winning the world series however could give the Mariners what the Mariners need to win it.
My first thought was the Astros giving the Mariners Avarez.
That makes zero sense, lol. Why would the Astros trade away one of their biggest star players for peanuts to a division rival they're currently just a few games behind in the standings?
