I like your explanation for the Energon weapons (swords, hooks and axe) because I was always curious of how they actually work, the idea that Optimus uses them by channeling his Energon to the generators that are within the weapons sounds the most logical options. This ties a bit with my head canon of “Optimus Prime’s Power”: channeling his Energon as a weapon for powerful attacks, like the ones from Armada, how he did his fire and Energon swords and axe in IDW and G1, the Power Slam technique in Devastation and the charged form of the Energon Axe he used in War for Cybertron game (2011), the reason why I thought it was a power that Optimus had was because he seems that he is the only one he can do it (I know that bumblebee, Megatron, Cliffjumper, etc. do have weapons in other continuities and games but Optimus seems to be the one who is more consistent with this type of weapons and powers)

I know i said this already but ill say it again. I prefer Optimus have his sword come out like in TFP or G1 his hands go in his arms then the sword/hooks/Axe ejects and once hes done he retract them back to his arms so his hands can eject back out. Its like a cool switch blade.

Well, they are alien metal retractable heated blades. We already know energon is a pretty volatile substance so I'd imagine it's just thermal resistance.
Tho, your idea of it being blood fueled, boi you mean the blades have veins what.
