Love these videos focusing on lesser houses. The Manderlys are awesome but it sucks that they're probably not going to be in the show, Wyman is such a great character. Can you do House Umber and House Dustin next?

Manderly also tells Davos a story about Ned Stark getting a fisherman's daughter pregnant at the beginning of Robert's Rebellion, which makes her potentially Jon's mother. This is all we ever hear of her though and even Manderly says this is just a story he heard.

The one who broke his neck riding out of Winterfell? Aenys Frey I believe.
So I wanted to say this in the 4th Frey pie video, but comments were disabled. That makes me so curious, but moving on. Really he only had to eat one slice of each pie, but he happily eats two slices of each pie. He's totally okay with eating people. Or the crazy happiness is the only way that he can get through it. Putting all of his terrible feeling emotions into a different emotion and that would also explain why he is so depressed later on.
I never expected the Manderlys to be one of my favorite houses. Wyman has the loyalty and honor of northmen and practice southern customs and wit.

Great video, that would be interesting to see Jack Gleeson play Wyman Manderly. My guess is most of the Northern houses are hedging their bets depending on the outcome for the Battle for Winterfell between Stannis and the Boltons. If Stannis loses, Lord Manderly can use Rickon as a peace offering to gain favor. If the Boltons lose, the Manderly's have a confirmed Stark for Stannis to use for the North to rally behind.
+Adam K I didn't say he would lose, I just stated the houses are probably hedging their bets aside from those few like the Mormonts, Umbers, Glovers and the Mountain Clans who have already declared for Stannis. I know none of the Northern houses have any love for the Boltons and some lost kin at the red wedding, and others have had their armies depleted from Robb Starks campaign. I know houses like the Reeds are die-hard Stark loyalists so while they've been fighting a guerrilla campaign against the Freys in the Neck, they have no love for Stannis, unless (like with the Manderly's) Stannis can produce Rickon, then they may join Stannis. I agree the show is not the book series, and probably wanted to speed things up and kill off Stannis so the north can rally around someone else, like Sansa or Rickon with (if he doesn't stay dead) Jon Snow leading the charge against the Boltons. GRRM also hinted their would be a big battle in TWOW that sounds like the Battle of Winterfell, so we shall see what happens.
+Adam K Fair Point, and if Stannis is taking his role as Azor Ahai seriously he may decide as much as he believes the Iron Throne is his by right- to instead (after overthrowing the Boltons) gather the houses in the North to face off against the Others/White Walkers when and if they come south, at least for most of Winds of Winter.
Valid Point, though time seems to be against him with Euron Greyjoy going after the Reach and the Golden Company invading the Stormlands, and the onset of winter.
True the Golden Company doesn't have the strength to take all of Westeros, though Dorne could rally to Aegon if Arianne Martell decides to tell her father Aegon is the real deal. That changes the game. The only people I think who know for certain Aegon is not Rhaegar's son is Ilyrio and Varys and both don't want the truth getting out. If Doran Martell declares for Aegon, Cersi being the paranoid incompetent leader she is, will make more bad decisions that play in Aegon and Doran's favor and could cause houses to declare for Aegon, that was why Varys off'd Kevan Lannister and Pycelle, so the small council would be too weak to plan a proper strategy against the looming threats.
The Manderlys sent 20ish knights south? 20?!!!! The Manderlys have Knights. That's their thing. A strong. Tradition of knighthood. ... At times I wonder how true that claim 'all the true men died with rob' is. I would think they have many many knights still in the north, those Manderlys.
Mannerly states he has 100 Knights with lands So he definitely kept some He definitely has some in white harbour I'm pissed he along with everyone else did nothing when the watch sent for them like Can spare a score of em Man but he's alright Imo

As I recall in Game of Thrones a score is like twenty men Why? Because the wildlings were in the process of attacking the wall. I get they had problems with the iron born however the watch only barely managed and the only reason the north wasn't attacked by wildlings is because of Stannis helped. In my opinion It Shouldn't be up to a Southron King to help an ancient order it should be up to the Houses of the realm said ancient order defends for centuries to defend and help the lack of giving a shit about the night's watch is universal so it's understandable it's upsets me however.

I wish they had Wyman Manderly on the show. How will the show do with the whole North Remembers-plot, without him? Maybe the Umbers or some other Northern house that had been depicted better, in the first few seasons will be given their storyline?
