Had this a few weeks ago listed a Star Wars item as spares or repair. Sent item. A month later negative feedback. No contact. Negative feedback says pieces missing. The fact that there were pieces missing was clearly listed and photographed. Absolutely raging contacted buyer. Load of rubbish excuses back. Then wanted me to guide him through a return. Told him politely to go stick it. Then tried to extort me for the feedback to be removed .Contacted eBay but heard nothing so now stuck with a below hundred feedback for twelve months
@@RickyResells your videos show the ups and downs of reselling, but the negative comments you get really push my buttons. If your videos upset people so much, they should take steps to avoid them.
Getting negative feedback removed used to be possible but it took hours of being on the phone or chat, talking to supervisors, waiting for responses and explaining everything over and over. Now they just dont listen at all, the last time I tried to get a feedback removed they just hung up on me. I have realized that most customers dont care about feedback anyway, so I dont care anymore.
I guess the best you can do is reply to the feedback, so anyone concerned enough going to the effort of reading negative feedback can see you're concerned enough to have replied, and how you dealt with it. There can also be some satisfaction in making the buyer look silly when people look through their "feedback left for others".
OMG I had those Debenhams Debs Bears, in beautiful condition were gifted to my baby 32 years ago... I bloody donated them 2 years ago when we were getting rid of stuff to move house.... damn
had 2 negative feedback today 1. A man complaining that the delivery driver didnt deliver it even though he was in the house? (yeah i hand deliver all of my orders mate, absolutely my fault) 2. Ordered when i was on holiday mode, explained this to them, but they still left negative feedback saying they didn’t receive it and were scammed the stress this job can give me drives up the fucking well WHY CANT PEOPLE BE FUCKING SENSIBLE
Tbf man, I used to be terrified of negative feedback. I used to think it would ruin my account. Logically thinking, if 1 or a few negative feedbacks would ruin your account, what’s the point in selling on eBay?! So many of the large sellers have negatives. I personally don’t think they matter as much as people think. Unless you had a really low score, then 99.9% of the time, it won’t matter. I think the minute you don’t care about getting negatives, you’ll grow as a business! It’s almost impossible to keep everybody happy to be fair.
The silver plate hammered bowl, it's silver plate as its 'bleeding'.... which means the copper or brass beneath is starting to come through the plating. Sometimes they are hallmarked but not always, the bleeding is what shows its silver plated. Worth a mention in the listing description so buyers know it isnt perfect 😊
Had this last week too. Appealed it and appealed the refusal to remove it. EBay just don’t want to know anymore. The feedback broke feedback policies too.
Over the last two years I have started Ebay and have built a shop with 1200 items. My aim is to have 10 thousand items listed and ready to go. I look forward to the summer and the early morning car boots. All the best from a new subscriber from all the way down in pasty land Cornwall. Falmouth Bay
I accepted ebay offer, no final value fees until April. Usually sell 4+ items a day. Since accepting the offer 10days ago, I've had 3 sales and that was the couple days agter accepting, nothing since. No defects, listing as normal. It's as if because the offer is no fees they literally don't want me selling anything.
It was stuff like this that stopped me selling on ebay about 3 years ago - couldn't do with the hassle. On the flipside when I see a seller has the odd neg review I give it a read and see if it seems indicative of the seller when compared to all of the pos reviews :) I wouldn't worry about it mate
When you put stuff for sale with free postage, what makes you decide wether to add postage or not? I'm curious as to why people send stuff with free postage.
If I do auctions, I always have postage because you cannot guarantee the price When it comes to buy it now, if the item is mega valuable, I’ll add postage because they’re probably willing to pay it If it’s a very competitive item, I’ll do free postage It all depends really
@@RickyResells I started selling long ago back in 2003 for extra money while working full time. I am just getting started selling full time mostly on another platform but I had always preferred EBay especially for Men’s clothes or other things. I understand you must list daily, you must use proper titles I understand all of those things. I am having a hard time with people buying and lying and feeling like EBay doesn’t want to support sellers. I might be wrong. Had two people want money back and that is fine but they need to send items back! The things they said for the reason is just not true. Example, Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt isn’t a males, not true, tag proves that, not new, it has the tag on it in pictures. Wanted a refund so I said to send it back in February and I am still dealing with it and they are holding money. I guess I just have to get use to the new Ebay?
On the subject of negative feedback, i just received a negative 40 days after giving the customer a full refund due to their item getting lost in the post these things happen apologised to the customer and fully refunded them. Ebay have refused to remove it as it does not breach any policy. Anyone have any idea where i stand if theres anything i can do about it. Thanks in advance.
Leave a courteous reply describing exactly what happened and how you dealt with it (but you’re really speaking to everyone who might read your feedback). Most people understand these things happen, they just wanna know that you handled it well and the customer was cared for. Then you can message your customer and politely remind them that negative feedback is usually reserved for cases where the customer issue wasn’t resolved, and you would super appreciate if they would consider revising it. I always ask too if there is anything else I could do to improve the service they received (in this case its clearly rhetorical). “As we’ve resolved your issue promptly, with a refund, would you perhaps consider revising your feedback?”
I had a similar issue with eBay randomly decreasing how many items I can list ( even though I have a shop) I managed to get my fees refunded for that month
I had first negative feedback just over a month ago from a buyer who complained they did not believe the item was genuine. They made zero effort to contact me prior to leaving feedback. I provided a full refund and sent a feedback revision request. eBay said feedback couldn't be removed. Buyer did not revise feedback. I replied to the feedback highlighting that the listing had lots of detailed photos to let buyer make an informed choice, that I believed the item was genuine, and that I'd provided a full refund. Think I made a mistake sending the refund without asking for buyer to return the item. Seems that the better thing to do would have been to reply to feedback stating that had they contacted me prior to leaving feedback I'd have provided a full refund.
Good tip about complaining for shop fees, might do that, but then I'm an antagonistic git.... May not have the time though as have 40 boxes of auction goods arriving this evening
I hate customers like that, I also had one which it said in title and description this item does not work, and had it as spares / repairs, the buyer then open a return for item doesn't work and ebay let them return it doh! and they left negative feedback which got removed hope yours gets removed soon
They emailed me back after 3 days and said the person didn’t violate anything even tho he said never arrived becus he tried to scam me and get it for free after I uploaded tracking he gave me negaryove feedback and eBay won’t remove it, wtf
Ebay used to remove most of my negs and neutrals but recently they remove almost none even when the buyer makes obvious false claims. On a separate note, i sell new stuff but my sales have plummeted in the past two weeks and even more marketing/promoting doesnt make any difference and i cant figure out why or what i need to do 😭
I'd just got rid of a negative after 12 months and low and behold i now have a neutral to replace it for item not received when it's had 4 attempted deliveries and 3 messages to the buyer, i think all these issues are to justify the new protections fee ....tin hat firmly on. oh and also i have a river island bag coming back when i sold a new Ralph Lauren one.. it's fine eBay just refunded them and let me keep the money, did't really teach the buyer not to scam though did it eBay ??
ebay tell you what you want to hear and do the opposite and always favour the buyer. i had a guy buy some cards and then wait for me to post them before telling me they are moving house and their address on eBay was their old house. i contacted ebay and they said it was on the buyer to go collect the cards themselves as they didn't provide the correct address, anyway a week or so later the buyer opened up a case to which ebay sent him a full refund
Because they’ve already been opened and have the security silver seal on top broken So I will just sell them using the eBay option of opened, never used 🤝🏼
Guys if they are rude, or use any derogatory language ebay might remove. I used this tactic when a buyer tried to call me a liar in suggestion form. I told ebay that the buyers comments were liableus on a public platform, feedback taken down within an hour.
Yeah, I’ve had that before. Unfortunately this guy opened a return request and then left the feedback meaning that until the item was received or until the time has passed that he has to actually return the item (which he won’t) then I can’t actually have it removed until that time passes so it is going to get removed, but it’s just having an effect at the moment. But yes, you are 100% right about profanities and liable

Im selling a camera that is broken, in my listing it says "no power for spare and repairs only" but some people keeps buying it and not reading. so what I do is I contact the buyer first and tell them that the camera is broken. if he knows about it, I will ship it if not I will cancel.
