This is a playthrough video of my song "Into The Light" taken from my upcoming album "Blue Lightning" this time through a test of the amazing ENGL 530 Preamp. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Eric Wheeler got the engl? better than the sims? and if so; what sims did use? :-)
I did get it, I've since traded it off (towards a Mesa Stiletto Deuce II) but it was pretty solid. Only S-Gear could really compete with it, it was a great piece of gear, and I'll probably buy another at some point.

Great playing and great song! I'm planning on buying this Preamp to use it live on just one solo that I'm doing in one of our songs. Do you have any experience how this sounds live plugged directly into the console? I won't be lugging a cab just for one song.

Great choice my friend it's a very nice sounding and versatile preamp but I wouldn't use it directly into the console, because I wasn't that happy with the built-in cab sim. Maybe you should check out some cab sim racks like Two Notes Torpedo or any Palmer stuff.
what type of strings did u use for that guitar? Eb Extra Slinky?

Whats your signal chain on this? Did you use an impulse or the direct sound from the engl?

+Evan K you didn't even use IRs and it sounds this great? What kind of sorcery is this? Usually analog cab outs suck badly.
