While the Mega still seems like one of the best Enduro bikes you could also use as a trail bike, if you already have a shorter travel (120-140mm) trail bike, this seems like the ultimate enduro/freeride/DH companion bike.

@@Stchamps I tend to base that decision on rider height. At 6'6" I always default to 29" wheels (kind of wish 32" was an option sometimes), but I think it also depends what you want from your bike.

Really nice job on this one Nukeproof, the geo numbers are spot on, I would love to try this one. It does remind of the Santa Cruz Megatower, as many seem to be copying their lower link shock placement.
That is the sexiest bike I have seen for a while.
All I can gain from this video is that rich loves stiff thick things including his carbon rims which he is going to give a pounding 👀

Agreed, it’s more accurate to count clicks from fully closed since there could be “dead clicks” at full open that don’t actually change anything.

How does the back end feel with it being a single pivot? Do you get a lot of pedal feedback and/or does the suspension stiffen up a lot while braking, similar to Commencal bikes? Is it sporty and stiff, or is the suspension more on the plush side?

Why didn't nukeproof use 4 bar link suspension like on the mega?
Kinda reminds of what GT did with the GT Saction with a single pivot design taken from the DH GT Fury turning it into an Eduro
Just broke off one of the bolts of my rear suspension on the Sanction. Cznt find a spare anywhere
@@SidiNic I just bought a set of replacement parts for the iDrive/suspension linkage. Had to get an LBS to order it from GT. A bit pricy but you get all 3 pairs of bolts and new pivot axles. One of the dogbone bolt siezed in the frame and stripped some of the threads due to galling. Luckily I was able to retap with out a thread insert but I did have to buy the whole package for one bolt. But I ended up also replacing the main pivot axle because the interface fit was better.

You can't order it from them directly. There are a few bike shops that have it available on their site for order but they're either in California or Europe. You can get the part # by downloading the technical manual with a blow apart of all parts and part #'s and then search it up by part #. Just have to search for a bike shop that has access to the GT distributer. Same distributer that handles Schwinn, Cannondale, RoadMaster, IronHorse, and Mongoose.

Everything looks sick on that bike, except that I've heard those e13 wheels have tons of issues and go out of true like crazy. Maybe that's just the aluminum ones? Otherwise it's a beauty!

After looking into maxxis tire line up for 2020 and calling maxxis. It seems they re adjusting their skinwall tires side wall color a dark "wtb color". Is this true? Is it just a change in color or is the sidewall thinner? Heavier? #AskGMBNTech
