The first time I heard the Black Sabbath song Iron Man was when I was 15, which now at 65 seems like ancient😂,with Tony Iommi on Guitar & Ozzy Osborne now at 75 I don't feel that bad🤨
Classic Sabbath, the title track from the immortal Paranoid album. War Pigs was the lead track and this was second. Along with Iron Man, those songs are Pioneering Metal and have become Pop Culture Ikons over the past 53 years. This was their second album, you should go back to the beginning with the song Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath from the album of the same name. Devastating debut and one of the earliest forms of metal coupled with very heavy blues and occult lyrics for a seminal Rock experience. Do that entire album, track by track, you will not regret it, your journey should eventually focus on the first 6 albums with Ozzy and the first 2 with Dio, their body of work with these records is as good as anyone's and well worth exploring, you will be so glad you did. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶
This is Black Sabbath at their most basic. They expanded musically from about 1973- 1976, then they sort of self imploded due to drugs. I like this song a lot but it's to Black Sabbath what I Want To Hold Your hand is to The Beatles. Raw and catchy.
Ozzy was fired from the band and replaced by a better one (Dio), however Ozzy only turned out to be better than everyone, for me Ozzy is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Thank you Bless I have been waiting for this for a long time🤟🤘❤
Thanks for your reaction. I truly enjoy their first album, you can hear their transition from heavy blues music into heavy metal. The follow up Paranoid album was good also, and not all the song are the same, as you already noticed. About the guitar sound, I would recommend you a short animated video narrated by Tony Iommi himself titled: fingers, bloody fingers. You'll understand how an accident turned into something positive. Short, but very good. Have a nice day. And now, I'm very curious to hear what you do yourself as a singer--I'll go watch this.
Funny you should say "down to earth" Blessing As their original band name was Earth before they changed it to Black Sabbath There is deffo a punk element to this song! This was orignally a filler song as they had tape left for the album so Toni Iomi said to the rest of the band "look I've got a riff guys what do you think?" And then Geezer and Ozzy came up with the lyric's for Paranoid
This is one of the few songs from Black Sabbath that I like a lot. However I have to share some trivia that might spoil the party. I saw videos and read articles about Ozzy Osborn the lead singer of Black Sabbath biting off the heads of bats and doves during some performances. I hope this was fake, but I have a feeling it wasn't. In contrast, several doves were once released from behind the stage during an outdoor Led Zeppelin concert in San Francisco, and they flew in different directions. One of them flew back to the stage and Robert stuck his hand out. The dove landed in his hand and he gently cradled it. Having said this, I still recognize the great musicianship of Black Sabbath. This song sounds more like the early stage of heavy metal to me. Punk is different, and I believe it came out later. Lastly I have to compliment you for another great reaction.
Black Sabbath W Ozzy; simply the best! Has anyone told you about Toni iommi's fingertips? They have a great diverse catalog...... Try: The Wizard, Snowblind, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath! Bill Ward is a drum Artist! Tony iommi a guitar God & even though Dio is more on 'Notewise.' Ozzy is better through MY ears!!!
There were a lot of heavy bands in the early 70's who set the standards for heavy metal etc. Punk on the other hand was just a faux rebellion in the late 70s against keyboard solos the leading exponent of which went on to advertise butter. But I was just a bitter dinosaur lover in need of elp talking of which why no TRex.Get it on
If you love the guitar, please react to eddie van halen eruption guitar solo. It's one of the greatest guitar solos ever played by a true rock and roll legend. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I saw BS (ha!) at the LongBeachArenaCaliUSA in 1971, and remember the intensity of Paranoid while tripping on LSD...
Good times, Blessing!!!
Hi Fred you saw it in its early release days :) hope you’ve had a lovely day so far so good :)
It's my 69th b-day,@@MrsPenPal, and I had a ribeye steak with sweet potato fries & 3 dirty gin martinis... I'd call it a lovely day! Thanx to you.
Old Tony burning it up and melting it down.

They have a lot of good ones... Try Hand of Doom . Or Symptom of the Universe... The Wizard... Sweat Leaf...
Stereo or high fidelity sound, started in the seventies. As did FM radio.
I see what I like I like what I see a gorgeous female
This was a last minute song ... They wrote it and recorded it in a couple of hours..
it's called Music

Wow that’s so graphic thanks for watching AKR always nice to hear from you
As far as I know the bat was real but Ozzy thought it was fake and was shocked himself once he realized
