SCP-745 is a bipedal nocturnal predator capable of producing a steady output of light from its head. At night, this gives the appearance of a floating point of light. SCP 745 hunts in pairs along remote sections of highway, taking the appearance of the headlights on a fast moving vehicle. SCP745 targets lone vehicles on the highway, and hunting pairs will attempt to run the driver off the road by pursuing or charging their target.

I remember this was the first SCP I came across, years ago. It was through some image that had a bunch of facts about the creature on it. I'd never seen such an odd and interesting creature before, so I looked up SCP to find out more about it. And now here I am watching an animation about it, years later. Very nice to see.
I'm really surprised they didn't throw a D-class at this one. Like, seriously, get one of the D-Class in a car full of cameras and order him to drive in the area.
Hell yeah put a D class in a High speed sports car to see their max running speed. And put another in an armored slow moving tank see if they can survive being attacked. And of course cameras every direction.

They don't use D-Class for SCPs that are usually found in the wild.
It just doesn't make sense for a D-Class to drive around, trying to die from a dinosaur-like creature with a light ball for a head.

So unlike other SCP’s you can put this one under the catagory of real. If you research something called the min min lights in Australia. You’ll find that this phenomenon that people claim to have seen is identical to this SCP. Even down to the changing light colors. They even tend to come in pairs sometimes
People seeing something on dark roads while driving tired does not mean it’s real. Hallucinations caused by tiredness and darkness are daily occurrences. Unless you can show me the cadaver of one of these beings to be studied properly, it’s a myth

These are my favorite SCP's, ones which aren't actually necessarily supernatural in nature but could actually be biologically grounded in evolution. Simply a predatory animal using mimesis/camouflage to catch prey where we happen to be the prey.

8:30 finally a happy ending. Why i like this is because other SCP stories comes of as trying to be more important or even trying make stakes higher and higher. This is more grounded reality and is also contained (highlights the success of SCP foundation).
