This type of tuning is suited for live musicians especially vocalists on the stage, where they usually wear only one piece of IEMs in order to hear how their voice comes across during the live show in a noisy environment. All other frequencies are attenuated for this purpose.
The IEM seems pretty useful but absolutely not for music, simply as a tool to hear and understand vocals in SHORT brusts and it will most probably become fatiguing after and amount of decently amount of time. If I was a betting man, I'd say hearing aids are turned similar to this.

Oh i remember them, NF Audio had that unique IEM the NE4 Evolution, which had an unique faceplate swapping system.
