Is the editing mixed up or is the section 5 for "test the battery" supposed to be drain the original battery and charge? It looks like the new battery is put in and then it says to drain the original battery and recharge.
Sorry, there is some bad advice in this video and it lead me to break a small piece (phone still works fine though, must be some antenna I don't need). I would advise to always remove the speaker part first and then remove the NFC/Qi-Charging part after that.
I've done this battery replacement twice. First time everything went well. 2nd time phone went into bootlooping. Put the previous battery back in and got normal functioning again. That obviously led me to suspect that the new battery was defective.

In your experience has a defective battery caused bootlooping?
More often than not it's the power switch.

with the new adhesive, is the phone still water resistant?
No, it can not be waterproof after repaired.

Double Ooops ... saw an earlier version the new one has the speaker board inserted.
I like LG phones but if I have do all this just to change the battery...bye LG. No more LGs for me.
