- In this video I show how I go about getting a saddle seat fit during the building of a saddle. This is how I get the initial fit around the swells and in another video I will demonstrate my process of cutting the ears.

Wow! I always wondered how a saddle was made. I knew there was a lot of work that goes into it. Amazing to watch it go together.
Thanks for the great video.
What excellent work, Sir!!
I LOVE to watch you work. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I also follow you on Instagram and really enjoy seeing your work. I look forward to seeing your approach to "cutting the ears" on the seat. Big fan, keep the videos coming. Thanks.
Very helpful video. Can't wait to see more.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, sir.
Que linda amigo
Could you do a ground seat video? I made my first saddle with a tunnel style ground seat. I built the front as low and smooth as I could, but it still wound up too high. I am confused as to the best way to do it lower and more balanced. Some instructions I saw seemed way overcomplicated. Should I order the tree without the risers on the bars to build a lower more balanced seat? Videos like yours have saved me a lot of ruined leather.
Me gustaría saber cómo fabricó un silletero y como funciona

Don you are the best in leather work industry , I like your saddles and the way you color them , how much do you charge for saddle with floral patterns ?
Dumb question here. On a rough out seat like that do you sand the rough down some before you put it on the tree or do you just leave it? I have been thinking on building me 1 & don't know for sure what to do on that. I assume you do not oil it like a slick seat when finished. Ain't never built 1 but I figured it's time to learn.
Don, how do you put in the half padded seat?
There's any trick when you wet the leather before tooling?
