Love your videos from Bakersfield Calif. Lived in Montana for a short spell in Florence after high school. Worked at Dunbar sawmill in Hamilton when I was 18. Did hold a CDL from 79 till 2015. I’m 67 yrs old now, born and raised in Alberta, know farming all too well.
Hi ❤ Thanks for taking us along and explaining the in’s and outs of things 😊 She’s definitely a lovely truck ❤❤ The dash looks like a lit up Christmas tree 😂 Whoop whoop 🙌 on the fuel mileage that’s awesome …. Rest up and we’ll see you on the next one..
Haha I haul highline poles from waco tx to west tx weekly I'm lucky to see 4.8 average is 3.8 to 4.2 brag away buddy its cool to see some one get decent milage outta
Hay jax good to take a trip with you agan millage has a lot to do with the driver and hes foot lol and being steady handed with your truck it would be a joy to ride along with you your a very safe driver !!! Hope the family is doing well 🙏
The company I work for beats driving ver habits down are throats and boy does it make a difference I use to get 6 .2 I’ve been running 7.9 for last year and a half I hated the driver habit program at first but now I see it has inherently made me a better driver of course I’m in a aero truck pulling a van
Its for sure a hill from SF to Rapid City. I make this trip often and always get better mileage from Rapid to SF. Get on a day with a good wind and its kind of crazy what my mid size car gets.

Hey Jax, I know you live in Montana but seriously you can sleep when the temperature is 34 degrees? Have you ever given any consideration about using Onspot Auto Chains for Wintertime use? Flip a switch inside the cab to activate. Casey LaDelle has a video on his YT channel where he shows how they work. He owns and operates Cascade Heavy Rescue. All of his trucks use the auto chains. He still uses tire chains on the outside tires when the roads are really, really bad. The owner operators who have to drive on snow packed and icy roads the auto chains keep you out of the 40-60 below wind chill factor.
I think west bound I90 elevation at WY / SD line is 3544 ft asl, west bound I90 elevation at SD/MN state line is 1424 ft asl. Yes it’s up hill by 2120 feet.
Jax I’m curious if you have ever had any cows have calves while in transport my father and uncle have had a couple killer cattle give birth and get free money lol.
Jax, I would strongly suggest you not sharing the engine swap on here. If you get caught going around the emission regs it will cost you a pretty penny! I loveithat your doing it and making a better truck, i hate emissions too! But filming it all might be a bad idea
I have watched those cummins engins blow apart at 750,000 miles religiously, and it costs $40,000 to inframe without labor. Just trucking overhauled his and he did the work himself and that's what it cost him
How on Earth do truckers actually manage to make a living driving a truck now since all the foreigners get a work visa and take no paying loads driving the prices down? Don’t even get me started.
@ kinda makes you wonder how they make those claims. You'd think the EPA would do a bunch of testing. I'm usually 85k empty and up to 250k maxed out I think my X-15 averages like 3 mpg. I like when I'm maxed out and pulling a big hill and reading goes down to .4 mpg. It confuses people when I say I get 2.5 gallons per mile pulling hills.
I bet that X-15 pulls good. I’ve seen some really impressive in the mountains 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸
Jax is one of coolest UA-camrs on. Always enjoy his videos 😎👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks ! :)

Good job Jax👍👍👍
I could watch the bull hauling stuff all day. Lol 😂😂 little depressing when the video is over.
Thanks for the tips. Just bought my first truck. 2008 386 with an x15 and 18 side. Keep up the good work!
That whistle and calling them puppies got my Labrador puppy excited. He gave me a funny look.
It's a good Sunday morning for a ride along with Jax.

Hello there Mr Jax. Hope you and the family are doing great 👍
I lived in Pipestone for a bit back in the late 90's working for a band out of Sioux Falls. Cool to see it pop up in a video.
Haha I haul highline poles from waco tx to west tx weekly I'm lucky to see 4.8 average is 3.8 to 4.2 brag away buddy its cool to see some one get decent milage outta
Great job and excited to see a video on the build, when that time comes. Drive safe homie.

Marten with Trucking Together on UA-cam likes those X-15’s. Might hook up with him.

Hey Jax you ran by my house on i90 west of Sioux Falls on this trip
Jax I think I might have to see what fuel mileage I’m getting out of my ride! 🛩️ haha I’ll let ya know
Great video!!
🤣🤣
thx Jax!

My favorite saying is "Its all a matter of Who does the Math". I have to wonder how putzing thru town at the end of your run affected your mileage?
Have you ever had the pleasure of meandering through the old miles city truck route?
Smmh
@@realwildwildwest Any action @ "Steady"?

I sleep like a baby at 34 ! I also have those chains on my cascadia.
For some reason i am not in the sleeper/ cave hibernating like i should be on Sunday morning... But then i heard the singing

Hey you had a good relationship with those NASCAR drivers, do you still stay in touch with them and converse?
Yessir. All three of them
Jax I’m curious if you have ever had any cows have calves while in transport my father and uncle have had a couple killer cattle give birth and get free money lol.
Yes I have!

It’s perfectly legal 100 percent
Ive got a isx deleted and turned up to a 600 and it gets about 6.5
What HP X-15?
99,000 lbs is legal? Thought 80K was the limit w/o a permit?
No we can go heavy. Just gotta have enough axles. 565 hp
I have watched those cummins engins blow apart at 750,000 miles religiously, and it costs $40,000 to inframe without labor. Just trucking overhauled his and he did the work himself and that's what it cost him
That’s expensive..
................................nice
About time. I thought a cow eat you. LoL
Good light.
I defer to "Lean on Jesus" though. Orthodox but very country.
How on Earth do truckers actually manage to make a living driving a truck now since all the foreigners get a work visa and take no paying loads driving the prices down? Don’t even get me started.
Having dedicated loads
The X-15 has a recall on all of them. They have a fuel pump problem
I’ll have to check it out.
Just did wall to plankton hard not to take advantage of 80 mph
1500 in a x15 is a emissions nightmare. Those engines want to stay hot
It ain’t about the mpg’s! The winner is whoever gets there first.
😜
Youre telling us youre going to pull an X15 and put in a T4 60 series, with all the aftertreatment? 😂
No no.. I’m saying I’m not deleting the x15 it’s keeping all its emissions Intact. Just won’t be in my rig
Next time stop in Jordan MT and they only charge $40 an hour!!
I gotta remember that ! How late in the season do they stay open ?
@@realwildwildwest Pretty much all year around . When it's really cold out our hose freeze up sometimes.
Run up in 18 at 70 mph see what you get ? You can afford it !
Hey Bull Haller that Pete is less airo and that mileage PDI Tune and ?? Keep it as is ?
Elogs and emissions 👎🏻
Since they claim those X-15s like the RPMs down low why not grab 18th when you're empty and cruising and drop those rpms down to 1300?
Because low rpms = bad mileage. I tried it my last two trips and couldn’t hardly keep it at 5mpg
@ kinda makes you wonder how they make those claims. You'd think the EPA would do a bunch of testing. I'm usually 85k empty and up to 250k maxed out I think my X-15 averages like 3 mpg. F word this tidy.
