Love your videos. Had to give up trucking due to M.S. diagnosis years ago. But I still love trucks and you give me a chance to live vicariously through your videos.
My father used to do two rounds a week from Fairfield,Pa to western Kansas then down to Texas to pick up fat cattle and take them to Wyalusing,Pa. And would go around every scale along the way because he was always over lol. ✌🏼❤️
Sitting on the side of the road in Western Queensland Australia out here it’s all triple trailers or four trailers consisting of two b doubles with a dolly all2 decker’s what gets me there is cattle going both ways
I pulled into a ranch to get two bulls with my 20 year old second gen dodge. The straw hat wearing ranch that’s about 70 years old 6’8’’ 100 pounds was walking out of the barn. I opened my door and my Aussie gets out and I get out with my shorts and flip flops. He looked me up and down and says you got the right pickup, you got the right trailer, you got the right dog but you sure as fuck don’t look like any cowboy I’ve ever seen.
Part 2 coming? I could sit in my chair for the full hour. 08:04 cute bull horn/hood handle, your voice changes a little, do I see a wire retainer on the upper teeth? Dental issues used to make me talk differently. Got to keep them pearly whites looking good for the You Tube videos.26:08 feels like a roller coaster. Well, I don't know we didn't get to see that part. I remember Whitehall in the old Windows XP, Microsoft Train Simulator. Computer train goes slow up those mountain passes and just like driving a truck slow going downhill. 10 times the weight driving a train, and even in a game they don't stop very easy. I'm enjoying listening to your Jake, that new engine sounds really good. Thanks, Jax for taking us along.
Paris Ont. to Laredo Mexico to Alberta Canada back to Paris Ontario in 8 days full load, Dairy cattle to Mexico pickup a part load Texas to Alberta full load feeder calves back to Ontario 6100 plus miles 2 times per month for 7 years, plus a few local trips when you arrived back home in Paris. All in the early 1970’s , 250 hp International Transtar cab over loved it.
you haul em on the hoof I hauled them in the box!...used to pick up loads at Montfort meat in grand island ....years ago used to sit and wait at the old sap bros.
Really thought I was the best cattle hauler around until I found out about Jax's oh ya yep the man right there at hauling cattle/livestock. Appreciate ya driv,ah
The days are getting shorter here in New England very rapidly! In the beginning you said it was around 9pm and looking out your window it was still really light out I got jealous ! Won't be long now and it will be 0 degrees and dark at 430 445 ! We are on our 2nd week of football conditioning for the boy it's hard to believe it's that time of year again
Another fine example of trucking with Mr Jax’s …. The experience, the explanation, the views of the country sides from the cab, makes for a great tripping adventure across the country Thanks 🙏 … See you on the next one 😊
Cool to see how you do it in the US! If you ever come to Australia hit me up, well chuck another 2 trailers on you and send you a couple hundred miles up some dirt roads! Haha
Galesburg here. That was a very interesting and educational video for this State farm agent. We are flying out in about 10 days for a quickie trip to hang out with our son and his wife in Missoula. Haven’t been out there since we saw you. The kids have flown home a few times for weddings and funerals in that time. Did the winds of 80 to 110 mph tear the ranch up like they tore up Missoula?
This winter I broke down on look out pass less than 100 feet from a turn out. Ended up loosing a fuel filter first time I ever seen a mountain fun times
Trucking live sock long distances over thousands of miles is not for everybody here in Ontario Canada. We bring a lot of feed cattle or out of Western Canada, especially Saskatchewan Manitoba Alberta over the years exporting dairy cattle out of Ontario here reviews two different trucking companies here there’s only a handful drivers that you see month after month Year after year but keep trucking livestock over long distances. Why say is look after your health and don’t want to take breaks when you need to take breaks feed water and brakes are not a bad thing for the cattle and a good thing for the driver. it’s not worth driving tired or having to take Substances to stay awake, I know of drivers that have ruined their health and their relationships
Hey man, another great episode 😊👍 I still just can't fathom how big the states are compared to the UK, we don't often get to see so much sky! Just after Lookout pass around 28min into the episode, it looked like your steering was pulling to the right? Is that a tracking issue or was it just the road camber? Great to see Rob on the road! 👍
LOL😂 you grew hair shit I lost a lot of hair doing that twenty-five years ago and it didn't grow back ether hahahah keep it between the lines driver and you just might make it to graduation.
@@kevinjgoult9482in a perfect world, that would be nice and much easier. The realistic hurdle is that there isn’t enough grass in the country to fatten the cattle affordably. Grain allow them to be fed in away they allows the middle class to afford the meat.
@realwildwildwest that's called food manufacturing not farming, in the end it's a very different product that is produced. As far as affordability goes l get what you're saying but it doesn't actually reduce the price of meat just it's quality.
A Cummins isx might have enough Jake power to skid the wheels if there was some road oil mixed in, but you are definitely safe with any of the 90s era big three engines. Those Jake brakes aren’t gonna lock a wheel unless it’s empty and icy.
My hat goes off to all you guys! I’ve been in some tough docks. And traffic is getting worse. God bless
to all!
Yes, you are the Master of cattle hauling!!

Jax awesome video, brother. You are the master. Loading them correctly for that run seems to be the key. You don’t want no issues, brother.👍👍👍
Great video and your explanations make it most interesting to watch and listen to. Thanks, Dan

I have nothing but respect for a grown man who can sing Disney songs just out of the blue! 😂💪
I lived in Denver Colorado and used to run from Maryland New Jersey all the way out to California in back every week.
Always enjoy your videos, and like how you roll. I like the older Freightliners myself, but the older, older ones ... 60's 70's.... cuz I'm that old!
Thank you for the videos! I really enjoy the sites that you show!

The time zone change definitely sucks!! You're putting in almost the same amount of miles as me.

Dude that would be a dream come true! I’ve always thought getting to do that for a week down there would be awesome .
@@realwildwildwest well if you ever come down I'm in Dundee Beach, Northern territory I'm sure I could get you a ride in one at minimum!

Sounds like a job for Dr. Bell.
Shhh😂
Haven't seen "little brown bottle " in over 30 years now . I'd always hit the horse race track for it back in the day .

Your fuel cost is HALF the price of up here
Would you ever consider taking a subscriber along with you for a haul ?
You know I haven’t.. maybe if I had a big channel where I could afford to fly someone in.
Oh please....
Enlighten us?

I really miss steady at the wheel podcast. Did you and your brother decide to just kill it?
On hold for now. No money and so far apart, it was hard to keep doing it despite the fun it was.
@@realwildwildwest no pressure from us. You and your family have a lot going on.

No water for the cows for 2 days ?
No, they never have a full day without water. They get it on the morning of one day, they have to be back on it by dinner time of the next.
Cool vid but l have to say l hate feed lot farming
