Sally Minnear - another voice of an angel.
He is a true musical artist & Sally Minnear has the voice of an angel.
The Drummer is awesome....
Thank god it is not just me, I always rated Frank Van Essen as one of the best drummers
around and so highly overlooked.
I've always thought the same. Frank is a great versatile drummer, and a really good violin/viola player too, which is completely unique !

Fine music
Wow! Up and couldn't sleep and discovered this. ....reminds me of Bill Bruford's first 2 solo albums, and maybe a bit Mahavishnu-esque (Visions of the Emerald Beyond - - guitar work around 11:00). Some Steve Hackett sustained guitar thrown in there too.
Good ! Thank you for uploading this... But way more people need to see this !!! It's incredible it's been liked only 72 times... It's plainly excellent ! Dave's a genius but doesn't have much time to promote his own music it seems, and this band he had by then is excellent.
The guy from Iona? Close your eyes and the singer even sounds a lot like Joanne Hogg. Awesome.
You got it wrong. It is Joanne Hogg who sounds like Sally Minnear.

Seems a little strange to see someone else playing guitar while Dave is on keys. He is one of my top three guitarists but clearly a bit of keyboard wizard too - incredibly gifted chap, and Sally is wonderful too. Off to see them next month and hoping this might be played :)

Followed and supported Dave in his fund raising for the last two albums, not only does
he have great technical ability but he puts every ounce of his passion into his music.
@@robertmcdougall3166 Return To Arda(released a couple of months ago) is even better than his first two in many ways!
@@humblefaithful I totally agree, I made the comment about a year ago and now have the CD (I still like physical media as I am ancient lol) of Return to Arda. It is amazing and my top album of 2022).

Quite Zappa-esque at the start.
Well, I guess more Keith Emerson-inspired - 3 to 4 Quarts resolving into a minor chord a.s.o. Zappa used different scales and harmonics. But truly fascinating, inspiring, uplifting music. Listen to Emerson Lake and Palmers Karn Evil 9 Second Impression - you will easily detect these very distinct harmonies (inspired by Hindemith).

@@rappleba2496 Well especially the second movement of his "Mathis der Maler"-Symphony, where he developed harmonics based on quarts rather then thirds. This clearly inspired Keith Emerson as well as other contemporary componists did. Rereading my post, today I would mention Bartok and Schönberg more than Hindemith. Here I especially relate to ELPs KarnEvil 9 second movement. You will notice the similarities in an instant. Greetz

I have the CD of the studio album but like you would love to have the live DVD but always comes up as unavailable. Come on Dave, could this be made readily available.

@@davebainbridge8311 Saw that Dave when I was looking, great it is All Region but it is NTSC and not all PAL DVD players are happy with that format.

I went to school with Dave and remember him playing ELP music on keys when he was about 14... so yes you might say he's an Emmo fan
I hate David Bainbridge. I listened by sheer accident to this for a couple of seconds, before I realized I made the same mistake like last year. All my CD's will sound like a broken record for the next couple of months.
