    ABBA pioneered recording half time and doubling everything! It must have sounded so fresh at the time. James Blake does a lot of this too check his song ‘Don’t miss it’. Nice vid

      ABBA? It started years before that. Even The Beatles knew about a version of varispeed on tape. As soon as engineers could vary the speed they were using it as a tool.

    Another fresh approach to vocals, thank you! By the way (I'm sure you've heard it previously) you have a great singing voice! Do you already have a recently created few tracks? If you don't, consider doing something on your own OR maybe with Karra.
    That would be such a cool video to see!
    The smoothness of your voice would work well with soulful house or R&B. Soulful house would be a cool jammy jam as a collaboration with her!

    I'm not sure with you as Donald Duck - LOL
    You can sing! I don't know if you need formant shifting... The 10% down to 0% (120 normal) did sound ok I
    think.
    Presumably it lets you hit 2 semitones higher easier as you're singing a few keys down?
    From google (it might be wrong) the formula of semitones to pitch percentage is;
    F1 = F0 * 2^(semitones/12)
    So 5 semitones down is -25.08% speed
    So 3 semitones down is -15.91% speed
    So 1 semitones down is -5.19% speed.
    I think I want to lower my voice so I'm going to try
    +1 semitone 5.95 %
    Thanks for the idea ;-)
    You can sing though! Never doubt it...

    Your natural voice is not bad. The speeding up generally makes the voice sound terribly artificial and unnatural, unless artificial is what you are going for. It is actually a common technique everywhere today and it's why singers sound fake and homogenized. You should not do it, it takes the emotion out of your performance. Joe
