Beautiful animals. You are taking good care of them and, as a result, their lives are far more pleasant and less stressful than they would be in the wild. Yes, cheetahs are wild animals, but they are an endangered species, so the care you give them is a worthwhile thing.
I'm glad you've said this, many "take them out of the cage" people 1.) Dont understand that domesticated wild animals usually arent able to be re released due to some circumstances and 2.) That they are truly cared for hence why zoo's have tried to give the animals enough room to actually still be animals. It's the pet owners that are the issue for me though
Brings back fond memories when my local zoo took our first clouded leopards, Raja and Josie, on walkabout. I had brought my parents to see the zoo that morning and we were thrilled to be introduced to them. Got to pet them briefly, too. (Both leopards were most interested in the peacocks wandering about.)
Yeah! They unfortunately don't live long or well in captivity. Wish they did so we could help them repopulate and such like that. But the females are so darn picky! X3
Interesting video. I love Cheetahs. Are these 2 cheetahs siblings ? And from whom Anatolian shepherd is protecting cheetahs? What will happen without him during the walk ?
the training is very similar to dogs except beeing feline it requires more time, it's amazing, I love those animals, hope all of them will survive especially the asiatic cheetah
Thank for your comments and the work you do with the domesticated cheetahs ... and you can be heard just as well when the camera is on the dog and two cats. Suggest MUCH less pix of people; just keep the camera on the animals.
Doesn't it upset the prey animals when they see the cheetahs or smell them? It seems it could result in the kudu running away and the cheetahs taking chase?
Annette Linan they’re actually pretty docile. They’re more scared of humans and they don’t see humans as prey. But yeah, it would probably be pretty frightening to have one of them get loose...
"Anatolian shepherd" ahh.. It is the beauty of my Land now I am living.. Anatolian/ Turkiye. it is name is KANGAL.. Kangal the most smarttest and Human- Sensitive/ interaction dog in world.. Kangal is purebred.
While I agree with your general sentiment, for these particular animals, being able to go on walks is a fantastic opportunity to see the sights and sounds (and smells) beyond their enclosure.
Hadass Galit Or all cheetahs be set free and increase the risk of being poached to extinction? C'mon, while I mostly agree, there should be ones like these for a backup even if it would involve compromise.
You are EXACTLY RIGHT!!! And humans much more dangerous than "wild" animals (which domesticated cats, dogs, cheetahs, wolves, etc., etc. are NOT). Every day we live we are at risk of a human we think we know turning on us ... not to speak of humans out there looking for opportunities and/or victims.
This is animal abuse. These animals are supposed to be sprinting on the Savannah grasslands of east and southern Africa. And they are on a leash, gross animal abuse. They are not dogs.

Wonderful video. Cheetah's are so beautiful and graceful!
Those Kudus looked terrified. How do the giraffes feel about this?

I also walk slower down the meat aisle at Kroger.
Seems like a knowledgeable and well spoken guy.
Cheetas are sometimes the nicest cats ever! Even nicer than those house cats!
Cheetas are supposed to live in their natural habitats. They will degenerate in zoos and home environment
CHEETAHS ARE MY FAVORITE ANIMALS LIKE IF YOU AGREE!
Little Blazer Gaming I agree with you 100%!!!
I don't know you, maybe you're lying.

Oh my goodness, they are just magnificent.
was really cool to see......... makes me miss houston
It's clear the kudu were aware of their presence.
Very aware!
super cool! I had no idea they were treated to walks around the zoo.
cheetahs may be big cats. but they are very docile.
Yeah! They unfortunately don't live long or well in captivity. Wish they did so we could help them repopulate and such like that. But the females are so darn picky! X3
+SOLID Shift Cheetahs could live up to 20 years.
They live longer in zoos than in the wild.
They is gentle in the big cats world
@@Powerranger-le4up no. Yhats not true
This is so wonderful!
Interesting video. I love Cheetahs.
Are these 2 cheetahs siblings ? And from whom Anatolian shepherd is protecting cheetahs? What will happen without him during the walk ?
The dog relaxes them, so they are easier to go out with I think
The kudu thought they were lunch for these guys .
That’s awesome they all need excersize. Can you do that with the other big cats

1:09 the nose omg
Great video, a lot of good info. Thanks for sharing
They are cute
Took a lot of trading , they are hand raised and will tend to be easily startled and want to bolt up a try for protection
Special when all three to be sure.
So cute! imagine my cat meeting the cheetahs
I dressed up as a cheetah this year for Halloween!!
@Houston Zoo
How are they doing with this lockdown going on?
Cheetah is a slow Walker and fast runner
What is wrong with the third Cheetah?
Lol he's their companion
Awesome but I would be a little scared of them getting wild or loose but nice video 👍👍

Awesome they can walk and enjoy
TakimaGulag: Cheetahs don't prey on giraffes. I can't even picture them taking down a baby giraffe.
Can you mack a artic animal habitat
What would happen if one were to get loose?
litheandgraphic just as long as it doesn’t get hurt or killed...
Do they Let you pet the cheetah ?
OMG iTs Edd I think this is before the zoo opens
I ate an entire bag of Cheetos during this video.
Still slower than a pigion
Do y'all do this during visiting hours?
Catey Carmody
They do this before the Zoo opens for visitors.
Zoo Members can pay to walk with them from a 8-9 am time.
i wonder why they like watching antelope?
10 employees died, the making of this video
Top speed is actually 75. And 0-60 in 3 seconds.
Mexas, was lucky for so long, even.

cheetahs don't belong in a zoo they need to run free to build their mucles
And get poached to extinction, great plan.
We're running out of "wild" you bone head. So, zoos serve a huge purpose. Get a brain and use it before you comment again.
🤡🤡
The cheetahs are very beautifull but the dog is ugly😑
No.It is plain wrong.Wild animals should not be on a leash.
This is why I chose "thump down".
Well, would you rather have them escape and possibly get ran over by some dude in a white corolla?. . .
While I agree with your general sentiment, for these particular animals, being able to go on walks is a fantastic opportunity to see the sights and sounds (and smells) beyond their enclosure.

hate it when people say uumm a lot it gets annoying
Right ... and much less video on the "people."
I can't believe you just insulted our 44th President that way

I guess you want Cheetahs to go extinct.
I love animals but the Cheetahs should not be in the zoo they should be in the wild
