Love it, love it, love it - as always! I may have to go back and do this one again, as I picked a very complicated source photo and went all in on it. But I’d like to try a simpler version like yours to really work on the blending modes you showed. Wait till you see my insanity on IG! 🤦🏼♀️ Leave it to me to always make it bigger and more complicated! I suppose that’s my style? Haha Thanks, Teela! P.S. Still loving the new video format.
This is such a great tutorial, but I'm having some issues with the smudge tool. My smudge tool is WAY too big even at its smallest setting. I blew up the drawing and still too big. Any suggestions?
Are you using the same brush as me? If so, it sounds like a brush setting may have been changed since I didn't set a minimum size for that brush - it literally goes as small as Procreate allows brushes to go. I would double check your canvas size (if your canvas size is realllly small, it will make all brush sizes seem big), you could try restarting Procreate/your iPad or even uninstalling/reinstalling the brush set to troubleshoot!
Are you using the same canvas settings as me? If you scale it up too far, it'll naturally stretch the pixels, making the appearance more pixelated. As long as you can get your outlines in, there's no need to worry about the clarity of the photo, since it's not used in the final art.
This is awesome and very helpful

Every time I try to add the picture to my procreate it becomes pixelated. Any tips?
