I think Zee said one time that he puts that intro music on any video he EDITS, which tend to include him, but not always. It does make for a fakeout, though 😅
Played this on BGA a couple of times. I appreciate that the patterns are simple because it enables to games to move quickly. But I think there is challenge to this game to plan the trick cards to use the dogs still on your board. It creates an efficiency puzzle.
I bought this and dog park for my wife for Xmas and it was way too light for either of us, and too abstract. Great theme, amazing art, but I agree with Toms rating. Its hard to go above a 6 on it for me as it has no real bite.
Yeah I think I agree with Tom here, the game is fun and breezy but there is some situations where the home cards, trainer cards and the available dogs just dont line up. Like two of the home cards might ask for blue dogs and the only ones ever available on your turn are yellows and oranges. Sure you can try to just go for the higher points training formations and just make the most of what you're given but it feels a bit unsatisfying when you simply cant get the colors you want on your turn. Maybe if you could spend an extra action to blindly draw a dog tile if you don't like the ones showing that might mitigate it a bit. Decent game. 6.
I actually really liked this as a solo game. It’s quick and easy and fun, and the luck of the game feels mitigated by you actively choosing your scoring paths as the game goes.
I'd buy it immediately if it did, but I understand that us cat people have quite a lot of games already 😂 within the last month alone I just had two fulfill from kickstarter
Intro music had me expecting Zee, then I hear "Hey everybody I'm Tom!" lol
Me, too. I think they messed that up.

Love this one! Great puzzle at 2 and a really fun solo mode too - give this one and Dog Park a shot!
Thank you both for this review. I was interested in knowing how this game plays.

So, it's more like puppatterns, rather than puppyominos?
Yeah, I kinda got click baited by that, anticipating an Isle of Cats game, but with dogs

That was Zee's music!!
Interesting looking game, but I'm inclined to stick with Dog Park, where the dog theme comes through quite a bit stronger.
Is there a "Cat Edition" in the works?

like a spinpiration of Tiny Towns... a bit
Yep, this was on my christmas list and I took it off in favor of Tiny Towns for that reason.
Animals don’t have personalities! 😮
