Ukrainians pay tribute at funeral of U.S. volunteer killed in Bakhmut

The funeral of an American who died fighting alongside Ukrainian forces was held in Kyiv on Friday (May 5).
Christopher Campbell was a volunteer of the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine and was killed in the defense of Bakhmut.
“He said that (he is here) because it is the right thing and because he can’t look at the ongoing genocide,” said the dead man's girlfriend, Ivanna Sanina.
Campbell will be buried near Ukrainian soldiers, according to his will.
“We will honor him, and we will honor every man, every soldier. My children will never forget. Children of my children will never forget,” added Sanina.
