From a culinary perspective, of course, there are many questions for the guys, but for some reason, in all their cooking, there's something calming, simple, soulful... The guys are just enjoying life and doing what they want. And that's something that's sorely lacking in the modern world.
Hey pit boys.. Been watching your delicious videos for some time.. This night i was hungry, I took a nice big steak, put some sugar on it, and then salt and peber... Then i put it in a bag, and i pured in Jack Daniels Chili sauce in it.. Let it stay for a little.. Put it on my grill pan, some minutes on each side, and then i pured in a lot of beer... Believe me.. I HAVE NEVER tasted anything that good!!! I literally took a picture of it, just to keep it as a memory.. I will grill more often now
hey there guys at the pit..just wanted to let you know that I made your gator and crawfish cornbread stuffing and I have to say, it was my best meal I have ever cooked and for a northerner, I think any southerner would be impressed.. going to have to try this awesome looking flat iron recipe asap..thanks for sharing your recipes for free on here
I love me a nice flat iron steak. I dont cook mine the way you cook yours, but i did learn. Thank you for the video, and thank you for the learning! I hope one day I'll be able to taste your masterpiece!
I tell you what, I've tried MANY of the recipes on here and these guys are the first chefs to churn out recipes that are bang on everytime. Big up the house of sausage!
Try injecting and loading up a few sweet onions and put them on the coals if you havent. I do it with Montreal Steak seaoning and Mesquite chips soaked in a cup with a lid on it it. Drop the Mesquite chipes in AFTER you have seared the steaks or you loose heat. Kinda like smoking ribs but I go light on everything so it doesn't over power the flavor of the Steaks. I tell ya my neighbors come over and ask how I'm cooking them and how good it smells. Give it a try and great vids thank you.
I've cook and have ordered them in Chicago and other expensive steak joints called "Pittsburgh style". I've heared people say Black and Blue, or Blue when refering to rare steaks, but Pittsburgh Style has a story behind it. Steel workers would bring steaks to work and cook them on EXTREMLY hot pipes. This left the outside hot while keeping the center cold and rare. The other stroy is it's burnt/ashy coloration after cooking reminded people of Pittsburgh during the booming steel age.
Absolutely beautiful. Rare/ Med Rare is the way a good steak should be prepared. I don't have much experience with flat iron steaks but you can count on the fact that I will by this time next week :-)
other than a good rib eye, the flat iron hands down is my favorite cut. you really cant go wrong with it. love your show, my wife was wondering where i was coming up with these recipes so i gave you guys the credit when i finally told her. i havent seen you guys make any beer can chicken yet, mabey i just missed it

DELICIOUS!!!MMMMM makes me hungry! summertime is coming here!!! question for the PITBOYS: how do u guys think about Rodizio ? Brazilian Rodizio style? they are also cowboys but in different way? for me Rodizio is the ULTIMATE WAY OF preparing and consuming meat!!! but the way u guys prepare these DELICIOUS STEAKS is beyong words!!! it hurts too watch and NOT be able to eat this up!!! 10/10!!!
Just a quick question how do you keep your Old Hickory Knives from rusting up, I bought a pair used it, washed it and the next day it had rust on it, any way of keep the rusting from showing up. Thanks.
