    Thanks Skip Geldens ;-) I used a 10-20 sigma for all glidecam shot. the technical part is in the description bellow the video if you wanted to know more. And for the glidecam, It's a great piece of kit to have but ONLY if you have a tremendous amount of time and patience to learn how to use it ;-) hope that helped ;-) Max.

    Yeap well spotted. I did use some software stabilization on this bit and I did use on some others. The ground was very uneven and there was a bit of wind as I remember. I was also back from a 2 hours hiking, so all of these combined ended by having a not perfectly smooth shot, that's why I used the stab. hope it did not spoil the video though ;-)

    I'm personally not a big fan of 24fps, maybe except for film. I just find it too jerky and I find that 30fps flows a lot better particularly with the super smooth glidecam shots :-) hope that answers your question :-) Max

    I suspect you also used a stabilization program. Some shots look a bit distorted like :31 to :34.
    Otherwise it's a beautiful country, beautiful video, and awesome Glidecam work!

    I do not like using any software stabilization software because it will cause a bit of 'warp' to the video clips. It's cheating in my opinion...having said that, you're video is amazing!
    I completely understand why you used the software and it really helped out. Wishing you continued success!

    has the scene at 1:22 been filmed from a ferry? because it looks like it's been filmed from a plane, only some small waves blow the illusion. really awesome work :)

  • @maxdreamcreator
    @maxdreamcreator  11 років тому

    Well you don't cope with the wind when handling the glidecam. Windy just literally means no glidecam unfortunately, so always take a tripod as a back up, just in case. That's one of the major down side of the glidecam. Unless you have someone following you with a screen covering you from the wind, so far that is the only thing that has worked ok for me.

  • @maxdreamcreator
    @maxdreamcreator  12 років тому

    Nope, no vest or arm used only the Glidecam HD-2000 on its own ;-)

  • @maxdreamcreator
    @maxdreamcreator  11 років тому

    I would say you need 2 months practicing daily to start getting good results in easy situations, but then to get difficult shots in difficult situations like in this film, I'd say probably a year practicing often :-) good luck, and don't give it up it's worth it ;-) MAx

    hey I'm thinking about buying the 7D or the 5D MKii which would you recommend? ill be using it for film and photography, I'm thinking the 7D for its 19 AF points, but still tempted by the MKii for the low lighting, gosh my mind is at a boggle on this one lol

    Hello!! First i wanna say congratulations Its an amazing video. Iam french Guy and i wanna know if you use a filter? ND? I dont know how do you do to get this color. Thanks you so much bd congrats again.

    • @maxdreamcreator
      @maxdreamcreator  10 років тому

      Merci Sebastien pour ton commentaire :-) J'utilise en général un filtre polarisant lorsqu'il fait beau et que le ciel est déjà bien bleu. Quand il fait moins beau et que c'est plus nuageux, j'utilise des filtre ND progressif Cokin Z pro :-), j'espère que ça aide. Pour les couleurs, le secret, c'est des heures en post prod pour les retaper!!

      the widest lens will be the best, you'll find that you always want to se more in your picture, particularly when you shoot landscapes ;-) I personally use a sigma 10-20mm on a canon 7D :-) hope that helps. Max
