Everybody makes mistakes, but it takes a big man to stand on a stage in front of 1,000's of people and give such a heartfelt apology, and that's what John did. Big respect to you John, you did the right thing and all of your real fans will continue to support you - don't worry.
He just played that guitar so honestly and open, I can tell how he really played what he was feeling and it sounded beautiful. You're the best John, rock on
This made me cry, we are all human and make mistakes . Thankfully he saw the light of his arogance and selfish ways and apologized for his behaviour . That takes a big person. He is brilliant and so talented. I just saw him a few nights ago in Toronto on his solo tour and it was amazing. I think you have figured you out John Mayer, be humble , be thankful , you are loved and talented .
i watch this video every few months because there is something so human about it and whenever life just really sucks its just amazing to have something to feel and connect with
Wow! Very cool. Now that’s what a real man should do. He looked so nervous. Humility is not always easy but you can see his heart in the honesty. Awesome! God Bless !
When I first played John Mayer to my friend he just sat there in stunned silence. I said to him, "You've just been John Mayer'ed". Here, John Mayer John Mayer'ed himself.
This makes me want to find and hug him. And I know this is an old video but he's grown so much. ❤ He went through some things as a consequence of his own behavior but it wasn't for nothing.
It's really shameful & ridiculous the media reports on & still brings up his Playboy interview but never mentioned this. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I thought at first, ya really because I remember that the focus on so many celebrities was twisted the interviewers asked them crazy questions and acted as though they were their friend and had there best interests at heart and almost seemed like a very intimate up close interview like we are all in love with these brave beautiful fellow human beings who are showing us our own greatness through there courage to be who they are and our interest is wanting to know there hopes and dreams and what they tell there selves to keep them going forward with there passions, because sometimes desires can be persistent at getting our attention if were are trying to stay in our comfort zone to long, so we want to know how did they handle that and what advice they could share , because we are so inspired by what they bring to us adoring fans with the work they do and can you imagine the interviewers were wolves in sheep's clothing looking for dirt under there nails and finding ways to make the people we look up to as examples of what we can become if we believe in ourselves , point our perspective to make them look like bad people and turn us all into an angry mob thirsty for blood with our harshest judgements throwing stones and as the angle turned again pointing to our own foolishness in not recognizing we had been decieved ,this person was human after all just like us accept we couldn't see that he was clever and trusting and just sharing the story of adolescence and discovering sexuality and the dynamic forces of attraction relationships plus the immense joy in the experience with the female her body her heart and her mind its a lot to take in all at once and then when you are feeling on top of the world the reporters come to tear you out of that and turn everyone you love and the ones who love you against you , I totally saw that with Brittany Spears interview with barber Walters, the messed up questions it was more of an entarigation than an interview , I'm so proud of us as humanity for recognizing the scandal serves no one and hurts us all collectively And now we are healing the hurt and the broken hearts that are still frightened to love again . How wounded is he still from being made to feel that he was so wrong for sharing his thoughts and private feelings and for feeling sure of his self and confident and safe in the world not to mention clever sharp and witty . oh my goodness , Thank you for compassion and neutrality our humanness our mastery and for love. We would not be who we are today if not for our own experiences with struggle and so we bless everything everyone and ourselves and may we be blessed big time. Thank you so much and all of my appreciation for holding a space for me to release this thing I was trying to wrestle to the ground , lol, allowing my feelings to be seen and heard sets them free from being stuck in the body I let them go easily now with love and gratitude for they have served me well in understanding more of who I am .love always kElly
I always feel so bad that so many people don’t realize how truly regretful he was/is for the comments he made. It’s never for me to say who should or shouldn’t forgive him. It’s not my place, I know this. But I feel terrible that he is still seen as a creep.
Jessica Simpson said he always broke her heart and she always came back to him. She said they got back together close to nine times. Wow. They dated since 2006-2009 on and off. He was the cause of her break up with Tony Romo in July 2009. And then she went back to john after the Tony break up. And then months later they broke up. She ended it. She was done. And then he talked shit about her in the playboy interview and that was like ok I'm done. He should have never said that. But I felt like he was hurt and betrayed. I don't know. Love is crazy shit. Lol
@@apriljoyvillarin1143 Jessica in her new book which is a audio said the last one of their relationship she was the one who ended it. I already said he was the one who broke her heart too many times. But the one when she left Tony for him she had to end it with John. Cuz he kept playing her and Manipulating her. If you read my comment I was right. John was the one who always broke up with Jessica but the last one was her ending the relationship. She couldn't do it anymore. She was very much in love with John more than she was of Nick lachey. But Jessica said she was very much in love with Johnny knoxville. Read her book. She explains it all. Let him fly is for johnny knoxville. Not Nick lachey
No. He treated women so selfishly before and after this. His arrogance by apologizing at HIS concert including the line "and the people who love me" ...he set the stage for applause. This was a very self serving apology.
Bet people have done worse things and still been forgiven and loved. Bet you and I have done bad stuff. But we still want to be forgiven. Everyone makes mistakes, and to hold that against everyone all the time is just troublesome for all of us.
grow the fuck up. All of this shit was in the past, there is no way you and i and everyone else on this fucking planet havnt done bad shit in our lives before.
I never see him so nervous before. Wow

This is by and far my favorite John Mayer solo of all time. There is so much heart in the solo that simply can't be replicated.
It is one of my favorites. Tattoo soon to come.

I was actually at this show and I am so glad someone filmed this because this was the most sincere apology I've seen from anyone.
4:01-4:04 his guitar was crying ... epic
It really did
made me shed actual tears...extra epic
This. This is what music is all about.
'My name is john mayer and i'm gonna figure it that out'
.....
Well he cant be telling a lie, because thats exactly what he did since 2010 and has switched things around to become an icon
Of all the people there, the one most relieved and grateful of this personal growth and what was yet to come was, that guitar, and you can hear it
Jammy bastard, one of the only people in the world that gets to combine a two-rock and a dumble together.
John Mayer is the coolest cat on the planet. Period. I love him
The BLK1 also crying...
Made my heart melt, love you John.
This makes me want to find and hug him. And I know this is an old video but he's grown so much. ❤ He went through some things as a consequence of his own behavior but it wasn't for nothing.
This is a guitar solo, David Gilmour would be proud of. Unbelievable.
I love this man. You are loved and forgiven, JCM. ⭐️💜🌹
John is the best he plays soulful he draws you in, I so wish he would come to Utah.....
Well this got me teary eyed, nice work John!

@@matthiasfoo1217 post 2020 internet? this shit happened like 12 years ago lmao. and the media *did* report on his apology tour actually
People make mistakes. They grow and change and learn. I think John Mayer is figuring it out
wish rn we had more people with this mindset
Good on ya John. You figured it out and let your music speak for you.
thanks for posting this.

The best apology video i have ever seen
@ikogotcha05 You are so welcome! i watch it sometimes just because I love this solo. Nothing to do with the speaking.
Fabulous 😊❤

My man would have been cancelled in 2021.
i mean from what ive heard he has been semi canceled...its post 2020 internet why are we even suprised
Most uses of the word "clever" of all time.
@Dbry816 This is the best comment I've ever gotten on any of my videos.
incredible.

He compared himself to David Duke
I wish my brother would just come out. It's ok.
