- The New 2024 Build Cunard Cruise Ship 'Queen Anne' maiden arrival into Southampton for her first time on the 30th April 2024 from Venice, she was built at the Fincantieri - Monfalcone Shipyard in Italy. She had stopped off at Gibraltar en-route here to take bunkers. A water cannon salute from two tugs was provided to escort her in from Netley and into the docks as far as Town Quay, she docked at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal for around 8pm.
Hello Steve I am sitting here 12noon Wednesday 1st May 2024 watching your video and having a "goosebump" moment. I am jealous of you seeing this happen "live". Thank you for posting Regards Lynne🙃
Good morning Lynne it is a sunny day so far until the rain creeps in later this afternoon. I was really looking forward to filming her arrival and had been tracking her movements from when she left Italy until she arrived here in Southampton. The 'Queen Anne' sure has a great sound to her ships horn and oh boy when she sounded off she gave her all, my son and his g/f could hear her and they live about about half mile from me and I am about 3 half miles from Town Quay and the Docks. Her maiden voyage from Southampton is on Friday 3rd May set for 21:15pm and so I hear that a fireworks display will be sending her on her way so I hope the weather is good then I can go and film her departure. Regards Steve. P.S Glad you enjoyed watching her arrival Lynne I sure did.
I love her horn, it sounds like a mixture of Victoria’s and RMS Queen Elizabeths horn! Thanks for this awesome video.
Thanks for watching!
And now we are four again

What a Great Moment ❤ To See That NEW Queen arriving in Southamptom
It certainly was one of those moments that you wish you was on board arriving into Southampton and thank you.
Her voice almost reminds me of the Achille Lauro. Great video and thanks for view of this beautiful vessel!
Thank you Capt Rossetti, yes she is a nice looking ship and certainly made herself heard as she entered Southampton.
Thanks Steve. She’s got a nice voice.
She certainly has a great voice nice and powerful and thank you for watching.
She’s louder than Queen Victoria and Queen Marry 2
The Queen Anne is beautiful. I love how symmetrical her lines are

Hi. Just returned from a 10 night Ventura cruise. Many thanks for your creativity, support and thoroughness for the cruise community.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching, I have always had an interest in all kinds of ships taking photo's and video of arrivals and departure's and it gives me alot of pleasure to share my work to the world.
Thank you that was wonderful

Epic footage, Steve! Thanks a lot! 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching, it brings a smile to my face everytime I rewatch the video.
Hi Ship mate. Once again you pulled it out of the bag with the filming, well done.
Love the colour of Cunard livery.
Guess the park was full.
Thank you Henry, I was hoping that I had captured her maiden arrival in Southampton from Italy in such a way that it would come across well in which I think it did as I was very pleased with the result myself. Furthermore the filming was done entirely from Town Quay.
Quite an entrance. Very nice piece.
Many thanks.
nice footage. I look forward to seeing some internal footage online soon. I might take Anne to somewhere like Iceland (she likes it there!
Hi Steve,
I was hoping you would record Queen Anne. I have several msny of your QM2 videos. You aways done such wonderful work.
Thank you!
Donna
Hi Donna, I didn't want to miss recording this momentous occasion either so I'm glad that I could assist in making your wish come true and thank you for your comments which I do really appreciate.
What a moment exciting i will join her next year from Sydney as part of her World cruise she has a wonderful horn.
She certainly has a very loud horn and thank you.
Nice video's
Glad you like them and thank you.
I'm due to sail on her in September, but im sorry to say I'm not impressed with her looks.....rather like a graceless top heavy block of apartments I think. Ah well, once I'm on her I won't be able to see her, and I'm sure her facilities will make it worthwhile.
I take it that she is not registered in Southampton
She is registered under the flag State of Bermuda.
…none of them are…all four registered in Hamilton, Bermuda. One reason is so marriages can be conducted on board. Others probably are financially driven.
